The month of July cannot get here quick enough for some of us Mighty Morphin Power Rangers and Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger fans. Tamashii Nations recently revealed the release information for the upcoming Soul of Chogokin Dragon Caesar (July 2018 for 17,280 yen). For fans of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, Dragon Caesar is the Japanese name for the Dragonzord. This beautiful collectable is able to combine with the previously released Soul of Chogokin Daizyujin (Mighty Morpin Power Rangers’ Megazord). Does this mean in 2019 we’ll see God King Brachion (Titanus)? Only time will tell.

The Soul of Chogokin page for SOC Daizyujin has been updated with all the information for Dragon Caesar, including design schematics. It is quite a marvel to see how this thing was designed. We won’t even ask if you’re going to buy this. Of course you are. So instead of sounding off on whether or not you’ll buy it, let’s sound off on how we’re going to display this thing and in what mode!

We are mere weeks away from the premiere of the 42nd Super Sentai and at last we have some new details about the villains for this unique new double-series!

These are the Gangler, an Inter-Dimensional Crime Syndicate who arrive on Earth & steal the legendary Lupin Collection containing several powerful artifacts.

*Leading the Syndicate is Dogranio Yabon, a yellow-chained creature who decides to conquer Earth as part of his 999th Anniversary Celebration. He will be voiced by Mitsuru Miyamoto (perhaps best known as the voice of Roger Smith in Big O.)

*Second in the Syndicate is Destra Majo a heavy green grenade-based warrior who operates as Yabon’s bodyguard & whose body contains several weapons. He is voiced by Yuji Ueda (famous for the role of Takeshi/Brock from Pokemon.)

*Rounding out the Gangler group is Goche Lu Medo the blue-colored team medic who uses the Lupin Collection artifacts to increase the Ganglers’ abilities. She will be played by singer Ayana Taketatsu.

LupinRanger VS PatRanger is officially scheduled to begin on February 11 2018! Stay tuned to TokuNation as we keep you up to date on this exciting new series!

It’s coming.

Revealed through magazine scans shared by @_Erasu on Twitter, we have Soul of Chogokin Dragon Caesar (the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Dragonzord) release date, more images, and the combined form with Soul of Chogokin DaiZyuJin!

As Super Sentai fans are well aware, Bandai Japan does not make a habit of releasing anything other than vinyl figures for the Super Sentai heroes. However, that trend looks to be changing. Uchu Sentai Kyuranger saw the release of Yu-Do candy toys – articulated figures that, well, you put stickers on. That is continuing with Patranger vs Lupinranger. Thanks to Bandai Candy we have our first look at the Yu-Do Patranger vs Lupinranger Candy Toy Figures!

All three Patrangers and all three Lupinrangers will be released as well as a number of accessories for them (including swappable hands!). A number of changes from the Kyuranger version also look to increase the stability and overall look of the figures. Last week we saw the first official image of the upcoming Patranger vs Lupinranger Mini-Pla version of Lupin Kaiser. Today, we have official images for everything in the first series from the Mini-Pla release.

Mini-Pla are miniature versions of your favorite Super Sentai mecha in model-kit form. You literally build it yourself and apply stickers (or paint if you’d like) to create a smaller, articulated version of your favorite Super Sentai mecha. If you’re not thrilled with the articulation of the large DX Mecha, definitely consider giving the incredibly affordable Mini-Pla a try!

It’s been a big day for Kaitou Sentai Lupin Ranger VS Keisatsu Sentai Patranger news, not only did we get our first full-length trailer for the 42nd Super Sentai, but we also have some quick bios of the six Rangers along with some information on the supporting cast, those details are as follows:

  • LupinRed- makes rash decisions, unsure of himself
  • LupinBlue- blackhearted, loses himself in character during fights
  • LupinYellow- acts like a “dumb little sister” but actually very firm & competent
  • Patren 1- very serious, aiming for “zero crime.” 
  • Patren 2- bright, obedient & totally dedicated to hunting the LupinRangers.
  • Patren 3- caring “older-sister” type to the team, not certain if the Lupins are true enemies. 

And in supporting roles: 

  • Yoichi Nukumizu as “Kogure,” descendant of the legendary thief Arsene Lupin who aids the LupinRangers. 
  • Nigerian/American actor Ike Nwala plays the PatRangers’ “Hilltop Commissioner” overseeing their adventures. The PatRangers are also aided by a robot named “Jim Carter” (voiced by Rie Kugimiya)

Here we go fellow Mini-Pla collectors! We have our first look at the upcoming Mini-Pla Lupin Kaiser set. This item is already available for pre-order where Mini-Pla sets are sold so if you’re interested, be sure to grab it! This is, obviously, the Lupinranger version of the Patoranger vs Lupinranger Super Sentai series premiering next month.

For those unfamiliar with Mini-Pla – it’s considered a “candy toy” (because it comes with some delicious candy) model kit. You follow instructions on how to build each individual piece of the mecha, including where to put stickers. Many choose to paint their Mini-Pla as opposed to using the stickers. These are popular with many fans because they end up being more articulated than the actual DX toys. If you need some convincing please check out our Mini-Pla Appreciation Thread on the forums!

It’s a double whammy of news for the 42nd Super Sentai series. Along with finding out the actors for Kaito Sentai Lupin Ranger VS Keisatsu Sentai Patranger, we finally have a full trailer giving us our first glimpse at this exciting new series.

Kaitou Sentai Lupin Ranger VS Keisatsu Sentai Patranger is right around the corner, and we finally have some human faces to associate with those awesome suits.

The actors for the six Rangers were revealed earlier today at what looks like a press conference event, character names along with actor credentials are pending as of this writing, but we’ll keep you updated as more info gets released.

A new listing at Amazon.com has confirmed the next Super Sentai release from Shout! Factory!

KyuKyu Sentai GoGoV– the 8th Super Sentai Series to be released by Shout! Factory- features the Tatsumi Family operating a Disaster Prevention Institute to stop an ancient creature’s rampage.
Western audiences will recognize this series as the source of Saban’s Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue.

Currently, the KyuKyu Sentai GoGo V release is scheduled for April 24 2018! The price is a very modest $59.99 USD before shipping and handling. However, all release details are subject to change so stay tuned to TokuNation for further information!
