S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Cross-Z Charge Gallery

Posted on August 9, 2018 at 9:26 am by Den-O under Kamen Rider, TokuNation, TokuNation Site Updates, TokuNation Spotlights

“Dragon in Cross-Z Charge!”

Having finally discovered his reason to fight, Ryuga Banjou took on the most dangerous driver to face the Hokuto Three. Using the Sclash Driver Banjou’s already tremendous strength overflowed from his new rampaging form. Fueled by the Dragon Sclash Jelly, Banjou’s power finally runs wild in our gallery of S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Cross-Z Charge!

Following up from our gallery of the standard Kamen Rider Cross-Z last month, Cross-Z Charge is an entirely new mold. Decked out in a really gorgeous silver paint scheme, this figure is also adorned by some frankly perfect translucent blue plastic. An already excellent looking figure in hand, Cross-Z Charge also includes his Twin Breaker weapon, capable of changing from Beam to Attack Mode very easily. The re-packed Cross-Z Dragon and Dragon Full Bottle as well as a removable Sclash Jelly, all of which can interact with the Twin Breaker, also make this a really fantastic release.

Check out the complete 65 image gallery of Cross-Z Charge after the jump by clicking “Discss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post. We’re bringing another SDCC 2018 Exclusive gallery your way next!

S.H. Figuarts Machine Builder & Parts Set Gallery

Posted on July 31, 2018 at 9:38 am by Den-O under Kamen Rider, TokuNation, TokuNation Site Updates, TokuNation Spotlights

“Build Change!”

Kamen Rider Build is swiftly approaching it’s conclusion. After next week’s break we only have 2 episodes left to go. So it’s time to take a look at something that hasn’t made an appearance on the show for quite a while. The S.H. Figuarts Machine Builder is not only Sento’s Rider Machine but also his personal cell phone!

While we’ve certainly seen the Machine Builder capable of assuming both modes in DX toy form, the best way to get both out of this vehicle is in fact, to split them up. The Figuart opts for being a full bike for Kamen Rider Build to ride, while including it’s Build Phone mode as an entirely separate accessory. Which speaking of accessories, this set also includes a number of additional hands as well as Build Rabbit/Tank Form’s signature weapon, the Drill Crusher, in both of it’s modes. There’s a lot to love about this release if you’re looking for the complete setup for Rabbit/Tank.

You can check out the full 40 image gallery of this set by clicking “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post. Next time we’re back with the first of a trio of SDCC 2018 Exclusive galleries!

S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Lazer Turbo Bike Gamer Level 0 Gallery

Posted on July 13, 2018 at 3:11 pm by Den-O under Kamen Rider, TokuNation, TokuNation Site Updates, TokuNation Spotlights

“Zero Gear.”

Kiriya Kujou once made the ultimate sacrifice in the battle against Kuroto Dan. But in a universe full of game worlds, living viruses, and super deformed super heroes, it’s no wonder that the coroner with a cause would return! Making a return to the battlefield in our latest gallery, is S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Lazer Turbo Bike Gamer Level 0!

Lazer Turbo once again utilizes the popular and wonderful Ex-Aid body type to full effect. A solid mold with ample articulation, Lazer looks just as stylish as ever. Though armed lightly with the Gashacon Sparrow, it can split into it’s Sickle Modes as well and even features an improved connection tab. Looking stylish riding himself (Lazer Level 2) or teaming up with himself (Lazer Level 5), Lazer Level 0 is another welcome addition to your Ex-Aid collection.

We’ve attached the complete 50 image gallery to this post and you can check out the full review thread by clicking “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post. We’ll be back soon with a number of galleries from Garo, Ultraman Orb, Kamen Rider Build, and the original Kamen Rider soon!

S.H. Figuarts Blood Stalk Gallery

Posted on July 8, 2018 at 12:28 am by Den-O under Kamen Rider, TokuNation, TokuNation Site Updates, TokuNation Spotlights

“You boys, never stood a chance against me.”

After devastating Mars, the extraterrestrial being Evolt came to Earth seeking to repeat this tragedy. To rebuild his arsenal & powers and become a complete being once again, he would play the long game of manipulating humans to do his bidding. Helping to create Faust, the Rider System, and taking on the guise of Blood Stalk, Evolt has meddled in human affairs for a over a decade. Now, he can also meddle with your collection thanks to the release of S.H. Figuarts Blood Stalk!

Blood Stalk sees the return of the well received mold created for Night Rogue with a few key changes to give Stalk his trademark Cobra theme. As ever this mold is nicely poseable and full of personality. But it’s the accessories that really sell it. Thanks to a full compliment of hands, a functional Transteam Rifle, and some new Steam Effect parts. This mold will undoubtedly return at least a third time for Mad Rogue and I eagerly await it!

For now though, you can check out our full review and complete 80 image gallery of S.H. Figuarts Blood Stalk after the jump by clicking “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post. We’ll be back later this week with a review of S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Lazer Turbo!

S.H. Figuarts Ambassador Hell Gallery

Posted on June 3, 2018 at 5:07 pm by Den-O under Kamen Rider, TokuNation, TokuNation Site Updates, TokuNation Spotlights

“Long live Shocker!”

After the defeat of the great Doctor Shinigami, the Shocker Army needed a new general to command it’s forces in Japan. To destroy the Kamen Riders, a member of their American west coast organization was recruited. The deadly and dangerous, Ambassador Hell! Capable of assuming a Kaijin form as Gargaranda, the Ambassador is a force of pure evil in his humanoid form as well. Utilizing his trademark whip to bind his enemies and rally his forces, S.H. Figuarts Ambassador Hell is here to build a new Shocker Army all his own!

Ambassador Hell joins the line at a time when the original Showa Kamen Rider series is getting more releases than it ever has. Expanding to villains has been something that S.H. Figuarts has always struggled with thanks to lower than average sales numbers. But the iconic greats like this can go a long way to reviving them in toy form. Joining the ranks of the various Shocker Combatmen on or coming to market this year, Ambassador Hell is a wonderfully interesting figure, though with a few faults. He’s sure to menace your Seihou Rider 1 & Rider 2 quite well though.

We’ve attached the full 50+ image gallery to this post, but you can also read our full review of S.H. Figuarts Ambassador Hell after the jump by clicking “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post. We’ll see you soon again for another action packed gallery!

S.H. Figuarts Shinkocchou Seihou Kamen Rider W Fang Joker Gallery

Posted on May 24, 2018 at 3:55 pm by Den-O under Kamen Rider, TokuNation, TokuNation Site Updates, TokuNation Spotlights

“Fang! Joker!”

The incident known as Begins Night heralded the birth of Kamen Rider W’s first and most ferocious form. One so powerful that, for a time, Phillip & Shotaro purposefully avoided using it or they’d risk losing control entirely. Eventually mastered, this form was a force to be reckoned. And now, after nearly a decade stuck with the original figuarts release, Bandai has recreated this powerhouse form in S.H. Figuarts Shinkocchou Seihou Kamen Rider W Fang Joker!

Fang Joker is yet another excellent release for the Kamen Rider W line. Another reuse of the excellent Seihou body type first introduced with W Cyclone Joker, Fang Joker is also another brilliant addition to your collection. Adding a little more ferocity to the base W body, Fang Joker also includes a plethora of hands as well as all 3 versions of the Saber he’s equipped with (Arm, Shoulder, & Maximum). If you’ve had any experience with Seihou releases for this series already, you know you’re in for a treat with this one.

We’ve attached the full 60 image gallery to this post, but you can also read our full review of S.H. Figuarts Shinkocchou Seihou Kamen Rider W Fang Joker! by clicking “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post. We’ll see you again soon with another brand new gallery!

S.H. Figuarts Shinkocchou Seihou Kamen Rider Kabuto Hyper Form Gallery

Posted on May 14, 2018 at 4:25 pm by Den-O under Kamen Rider, TokuNation, TokuNation Site Updates, TokuNation Spotlights

“I already have the future in my hand.”

Transformed by the Hyper Zecter, armed with the Perfect Zecter, Souji Tendou walks the path of heaven once more in our gallery of S.H. Figuarts Shinkocchou Seihou Kamen Rider Kabuto Hyper Form!

Kabuto Hyper Form is just the latest in a long succession of Figuarts releases from Kamen Rider Kabuto that date back to the earliest days of the line. With Shinkocchou Seihou releases for this series in full swing it was only a matter of time before Kabuto’s most powerful form debuted. A detailed recreation of the Hyper Form suit, gimmicks and all, this figuart succeeds in being better in every aspect than the ancient original release. Featuring a Hyper Clock Up mode, some much improved wings of light, as well as a fully functional Perfect Zecter, it really can’t get better than this.

You can view our full gallery of 100 images and read through our review of Kabuto Hyper Form by clicking “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post. Next time, we return to Kamen Rider W with the berserker form Shinkocchou Seihou Fang Joker!

Power Rangers Zeo: Legacy Zeonizer Gallery

Posted on May 10, 2018 at 3:07 pm by Den-O under Power Rangers, TokuNation, TokuNation Site Updates, TokuNation Spotlights

“It’s Morphin’ Time!”

It’s been a while since we’ve tackled a Legacy release from Bandai, and with their time with the Power Rangers license coming to end, we thought it appropriate to take a look at one of their last high end releases. Making it’s way out to retail currently at Toys R Us (as they go our of business themselves) is the Legacy Zeonizer!

It’s  unfortunate that this collector’s piece is heralding the end of the line, and a retailer, but we wanted to take a look at it while we could. The Legacy Zeonizer is the latest in Bandai’s line of high end prop replicas, and frankly it may be their best effort. A wonderful recreation of the morpher used in Power Rangers Zeo, this collector’s piece features a number of built in light & sound gimmicks including unique Morphin’ call outs and specific colors for each ranger. Of course the icing on the cake is it’s best feature, the ability to play the entire Power Rangers Zeo Opening Theme!

You can check out our full 40 image gallery of the Legacy Zeonizer as well as a full review and breakdown of it’s features by clicking “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post. We’ll be back next time with a gallery from Kamen Rider Kabuto!

Robot Spirits 7-11 Japan Exclusive Gipsy Avenger Clear Blueprint Version Gallery

Posted on May 6, 2018 at 4:38 pm by Den-O under General Tokusatsu News, TokuNation, TokuNation Site Updates, TokuNation Spotlights

“Born Ready. War Ready.”

Last month we took you on a tour of all things Pacific Rim Uprising with a complete look at the line of Robot Spirits figures produced for the film from Tamashii Nations. 6 solid releases, each with it’s own strengths and weaknesses. Gipsy Avenger, Obsidian Fury, Titan Redeemer & Bracer Phoenix, and Guardian Bravo & Saber Athena. Now, we get to add an extra step on that journey with a look a this recent 7-11 Japan Exclusive release, Robot Spirits Gipsy Avenger Clear Blueprint Version!

Blueprint Gipsy Avenger takes a mold we’re very familiar with at this point, an excellent one at that, and recasts the entire thing in gorgeous translucent blue with ice blue accents. Physically the figure functions entirely the same way, but it’s astounding how different and good it can look in these new colors. Equipped with the same Gravity Sling and Chain Sword as the original release, Blueprint Gipsy is a fantastic exclusive that may not be for everyone, but if you love this franchise, it’s a must own.

We’ve put together just over 60 images of this beauty for your viewing pleasure. You can check out out the full gallery and review after the jump by clicking “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post. Coming up soon we check out new releases from Kamen Rider Kabuto & Kamen Rider W!

Choujuu Sentai Liveman: Super Minipla Live Robo Gallery

Posted on May 2, 2018 at 3:45 pm by Den-O under Super Sentai, TokuNation, TokuNation Site Updates, TokuNation Spotlights

“Gattai! Live Dimension!”

Since Super Minipla began in mid-2016, it’s blossomed into quite the heavy hitting toyline. Setting itself apart from Bandai’s normal Minipla toyline, Super manages to recreate giant robots (of the live action and animated varieties) in fantastic form. In many cases these new models are incredible cost-effective alternatives to long gone and expensive DX toys. So far that’s been illustrated best by today’s subject, Super Minipla Live Robo!

Choujuu Sentai Liveman was the 2nd sentai announced for this line after Zyuranger, and if collector reaction is any indicator then Bandai needs to focus on more pre-zyu series. Super Minipla Live Robo is one excellent set. Thanks to the new and innovative design methods used for this line over standard Minipla, we get 3 fully functional vehicles in Sky Land & Aqua Machines. We also get an intricate transformation with minimal parts removal that results in a functional highly poseable robot armed with it’s trademark Super Beast Sword & Live Shield. Even if model kits aren’t your thing, this set definitely will be.

We’ve assembled a MASSIVE 150+ image gallery of Live Robo as well as a full 5 part review. Each post in the gallery thread focuses on another piece of the set culminating in Live Robo at the end. Catch the whole thing by clicking “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post. We’ll be back soon with another brand new gallery from Pacific Rim Uprising!
