The first bits of merchandise for the 20th Heisei Era Kamen Rider series are now making their way to store shelves!

Many stores in Japan have now put up official displays of the henshin device used by Kamen Rider Zi-O– now officially known as the Ziku Driver for English text.

“Build Change!”

Kamen Rider Build is swiftly approaching it’s conclusion. After next week’s break we only have 2 episodes left to go. So it’s time to take a look at something that hasn’t made an appearance on the show for quite a while. The S.H. Figuarts Machine Builder is not only Sento’s Rider Machine but also his personal cell phone!

While we’ve certainly seen the Machine Builder capable of assuming both modes in DX toy form, the best way to get both out of this vehicle is in fact, to split them up. The Figuart opts for being a full bike for Kamen Rider Build to ride, while including it’s Build Phone mode as an entirely separate accessory. Which speaking of accessories, this set also includes a number of additional hands as well as Build Rabbit/Tank Form’s signature weapon, the Drill Crusher, in both of it’s modes. There’s a lot to love about this release if you’re looking for the complete setup for Rabbit/Tank.

A new Kamen Rider video game has just been announced!

Kamen Rider: Climax Scramble Zi-O is an action/fighting game featuring multiple Kamen Rider characters. So far, Riders confirmed to be included are Kamen Rider Zi-O, Kamen Rider Gates & Kamen Rider Build.

Climax Scramble will include a STORY MODE for lengthy gameplay & a BATTLE MODE for Rider clashes. Further details regarding gameplay have sadly not been confirmed at time of writing.

Kamen Rider: Climax Scramble Zi-O will be released on the Nintendo Switch video game console! Stay tuned to TokuNation for further details on this exciting Rider Game!

News about the upcoming 20th Heisei Kamen Rider series Kamen Rider Zi-O continues to drip out on a fairly steady pace, and each bit we receive seems even more exciting than the last!

This latest batch of scans focuses first on the Jikku Driver, the henshin device used by both Kamen Riders in this series. The Driver face spins 360 degrees to transform and was apparently developed after years of research though its true origins are not yet revealed in full.

The Jikku Driver is powered by RiderWatches! These coin-shaped devices are said to contain the powers of previous Kamen Riders- and all the Heisei Riders are shown in RiderWatch form!

By inserting the RiderWatch into the JikkuDriver, a Rider gains new Rider Armor with unique abilities!

*Kamen Rider Zi-O’s first RiderArmor form uses the Kamen Rider Build RiderWatch- creating Kamen Rider Zi-O Build Armor!
*Kamen Rider Gates starts off with the Kamen Rider Ghost RiderWatch- granting the power of Kamen Rider Gates Ghost Armor!

In addition to visiting past Kamen Riders, this series will also resurrect VILLAINS from Rider history! Kamen Rider Zi-O is seen facing off against Lord Baron from Kamen Rider Gaim.

For years upon years, the S.H. Figuarts line of figures from Bandai Japan have been considered the ultimate visual form of our favorite spandex-clad superheroes from Japan. Featuring heavy articulation, show-accurate paint and details, as well as a variety of weapons and accessories, you really cannot beat a S.H. Figuart in terms of feeling you have a “complete” figure. Then something called “Rider Kick Figures“, or RKF, emerged recently.

Bandai Japan would like to appeal to those who cannot always afford a solid $50 for a figure.

Releasing in September is the brand new action figure line “Rider Kick Figures” which literally, and I quote, has the catchphrase “It’s cheap and it moves!”. Consider our interests piqued. The first figure to release will be Kamen Rider Build in his Rabbit/Tank form. Following his release will be Kamen Rider Cross-Z and Kamen Rider Grease (shown in pictures attached to the article), and announced or teased figures include Kamen Rider Zi-O, Kamen Rider Ex-Aid, Kamen Rider Evolt, and Kamen Rider Build Dragon/Rabbit form.

For those of you who want to collect figures but cannot afford the price of S.H. Figuarts, or are simply annoyed at the constant influx of Premium Bandai releases, the Rider Kick Figures may be for you. Check out all the in-hand images by clicking the title of the story.

As we approach the premiere of Kamen Rider Zi-O in September, we’re continuing to see more and more images of the toyline for the upcoming show. Today brings us a look at this year’s main “gimmick” line with the first wave of RKF (Rider Kicks Figures). 

RKF looks to be a general action figure line rather than one truly driven by a gimmick as in years past. The line is composed of characters from across the Heisei Era and will also be featuring power up armors for Kamen Rider’s Zi-O & Gates. The first wave of releases is dominated by Kamen RIder Build characters including; Build (Rabbit/Tank), Cross-Z, Grease, Evol (Cobra), and the Be The One film exclusive form Cross-Z Build (Rabbit/Dragon).

Cross-Z is listed with a 2160 yen price point and October release date, while Evol & Cross-Z Build each bare a 2700 yen price point with November release dates. The first wave of 6 RKF figures are all up for pre-order at HLJ currently. These pre-orders include Ex-Aid Level 2 who isn’t shown in these initial scans. We’ll be sure to keep you informed as more information about this toyline becomes available.

Tamashii Nations 2018 is just around the corner, and thanks to the official @t_features twitter we have confirmation of the two tokusatsu exclusives for the show.

First up is a repaint of the well received Shinkocchou Seihou Kamen Rider 1 S.H. Figuart in Sakurajima colors. Since Tamashii seems to be working backwards from the “Shin Rider 1” design, how long until we get Hongo in his original colors? Rider 1 will retail for 6480 yen.

“Oh no!” The Black Hazard arrives continuing the pattern of black repaint event exclusives with S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Build Rabbit/Tank Hazard Form! With Hazard confirmed at last, could we see Rabbit/Rabbit or Tank/Tank as well as Genius on the horizon? Here’s hoping. Hazard Form will retail for 6480 yen as well.

Both exclusives will be available at Tamashii Nations 2018, October 26th-28th.

It’s that time of year again folks! Kamen Rider Build is sadly drawing to a close, and as we say our farewells a new hero rises to take his place: Kamen Rider Zi-O who was revealed earlier in the week.

Not long after the reveal, our first toy catalog scans are beginning to surface online thanks to Twitter user @Tokullector and translations from @SpecialForm12

A few things worth noting from the translations:

  • Kamen Rider Zi-O’s belt is called the Jikku Driver
  • The second Rider shown previously is called Kamen Rider Gates
  • The form changes are called ArmorTime, both Gates and Zi-O uses RideWatches to activate these forms.
  • Kamen Rider Zi-O has ArmorTimes based on Build and Ex-Aid while Gates will use forms based on Ghost and Drive.
  • Zi-O’s default sidearm is called the JikanGrade and will have both a sword and gun mode.

Do note that what we are seeing are scans for the Gashapon toys, we’ll be seeing scans for the DX stuff in the next few days. In the meantime, stay tuned to Tokunation and we’ll provide you more updates as they become available.

Toei has released a pair of trailers for this summers’ Super Sentai & Kamen Rider double-billed theatrical release!

First up, in LupinRanger VS PatRanger En Film– LupinRed and Patren 1 must set aside their differences to work together after the remaining Rangers are captured by the Ganglers. Along the way, they will encounter legendary detective Herlock Sholmes and unlock a brand-new VS Vehicle– the Jackpot Striker!

Next, the adventure continues in Kamen Rider Build: Be The One! Surprisingly, this film takes place AFTER the events of Builds’ series- the Rider War has ended & the country is united under a new government. Unfortunately, this government triggers a BUILD ANNIHILATION PLAN and the once-venerated hero becomes a target of every citizen in the country. Aiding in this Annihilation Plan is a powerful new Rider- Kamen Rider Blood!

Both films are currently scheduled for release on August 4 2018!

A new round of magazine scans has come online, at last revealing the ultimate forms of Kamen Rider Build!

*Thanks to the power of the Genius FullBottle Sento will henshin into Kamen Rider Build Genius Form! Genius will give Sento access to the powers of all 60 FullBottles at once.

*Not to be outdone, Ryuga will gain control of the Dragon EvolBottle to unlock another configuration- Kamen Rider Great Cross-Z! This appears to be a combination of the original Cross-Z suit with pieces of Kamen Rider Evol.
