Well this looks like something we can all definitely be thankful for this year! Occasionally we share rare & interesting toku auctions we find on ebay but this is on an entirely different level.

The fine folks at Serious Toyz[/URL] have just opened up a special set of auctions aimed at collectors of vintage Japanese die cast toys & robots with a special emphasis on tokusatsu! Running the range of Metal Heroes, Super Sentai, Ultraman, Godzilla, & Kamen Rider this auction consists of a number of rare finds from a personal collection that was greatly cared for with many items having either never been opened or even used.

It isn’t often we see near mint & rare vintage releases like this for sale. So we wanted to share this with the community in the hopes that someone here may finally be able to fill a unique hole in their collection they’ve been after!

Yet another year and another Tamashii Nations fall event have come and gone! As with every year there were more than a few surprises on display, the expected & unexpected, a few disappointments, line changes, and a few notable absences. As is usual the official @t_features twitter account has been tweeting out official images of many of the events’ reveals. This has been one great show this year! However the absence of Super Sentai figuarts & the smaller presence of Metal Heroes & other offbeat toku heroes is noticeable. Tamashii Nations Fall 2015 event is well under way and of of today we’ve already gotten our first round of reveals! There are some surprises, some no brainers, and some WAY out of left field surprises in here. Sentai fans need not get their hopes up though, as no figures have been shown at all. For now though:

It’s that time of year once again for the comic & toy convention season to get under way! And getting the ball rolling on both fronts is the upcoming Lexington Comic & Toy Con, from March 13th-15th! What began in 2012 as a con that garnered over 1000 guests has flourished in the years since to it’s height now, attracting upwards of 20,000 guests from the around the midwest & southeast!

What’s even more impressive is how the guest list for this con has grown from featuring just a few of your favorite Power Rangers actors, to being one of the nations premiere selections of ranger actors! This year the convention staff have pulled out all the stops to offer the BIGGEST selection of Power Rangers, & Indeed Super Sentai actors, possible! Not to mention a few other fantastic bonuses for Ultraman fans! Check out the full guest list as it pertains to the tokusatsu fandom below, as maintained by our very own uchihabro77! 

Aside from this star studded guest list, LexCon is also an opportunity for fans to make real world connections. As I’ve done in years past I will of course be there repping for TokuNation.com & the Talkin Toku Podcast. But many other groups and personalities in the tokusatsu fandom will also be in attendance like trekkieb47 of Ranger Command Power Hour and RiderJetfire of Dans Toku Rants. If you’re going to be in attendance be sure to post in our Lexington Comic & Toy Con 2015 thread. If you’re a fan of the Ultraman manga series which began in 2011, well 2015 seems to be the year for you! After an Ultra-Act X S.H. Figuarts figure of the Manga Ultraman was shown off at several Tamashii Nation events, Viz Media has stepped into to deliver somre more good news!

Just announced via their Twitter account, Viz Media will begin releasing the Ultraman Manga in August! An alternate future based on the events of the original Ultraman TV series, the manga follows Shinjiro son of the original Ultraman’s host Hayate.

The Lexington Comic & Toy Con has been quickly gaining steam the last few years as one of the biggest and best east coast conventions for Power Rangers fans and actors. Well this year the show’s growing once again with a recent announcement of four brand new guests!

Yuta Mochizuki – Geki/Tyranno Ranger from Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger! This is notable as only the second US convention appearance that Yuta has made. The first having only been a few months ago at Power Morphicon!

Rekio Chiba – Mei/Ptera Ranger from Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger! The first EVER appearance by Ms Chiba at a US convention! If you know her at all then you know that Reiko Chiba has been incredibly active on Twitter (@CHIBAREI_DURGA) for a long time and interacts with fans regularly. In fact she had cryptically tweeted about this upcoming appearance a few weeks ago but saved the official reveal for the LCTC facebook page.

Bin Furuya – A veteran of several Toho film productions for many years, a suit actor on the original Ultra Q series and subsequently the suit actor of the Original Ultraman! Mr Furuya is a veteran of the highest order in the Tokusatsu world.

And last but not least, Paul Freeman – Ivan Ooze in the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie! Of course Mr Freeman is an actor with an incredibly lengthy resume of credits, but we know him best for his deliciously crazy portrayal of Ivan ooze.

Following their initial reveal last month, we now have official images of the forthcoming wave of 66 Action Ultraman figures. Like the Kamen Rider waves, these are small poseable candy toy figures that each also come with a piece of soda-flavoured candy. Included in this first wave are the original Ultraman, Ultra Seven, Ultraman Ginga Strium and a Baltan Seijin.

The figures will retail for 380 yen each and be released in January 2015, with preorders likely to be going up in the next few days!

And the avalanche continues! Just revealed is the 2nd of two upcoming Ultra-Act two packs. The Jet Black Ultra Brothers set!

This pack features Ultra-Seven Dark & Ultraman Dark as they appeared  in Ultraman Ginga . This set appears to include the standard accessories of at least Ultra-Act Ultra Seven Renewal and possibly those of Ultraman Renewal as well. On the confirmed side of things this set will be a Tamashii Web Exclusive for October, 7992 yen.

And then there’s yet another rendition of the mighty S.H. Monsterarts Mechagodzilla/Kiryu figure! A brand new High Mobility Type version of this iconic beast, to be released as a Tamashii Web Exclusive in October for 12,960 yen!

Medicom has announced the release of a surprising Real Action Hero figure.

Captain Toshio Muramatsu of the SSSPD from the original Ultraman Series will be getting his own figure in the line.

The figure will be a Premium Medicom Club exclusive figure, retailing for 18,690 yen with a release date slated for March of next year

Now this is certainly a strange and interesting piece. World Box Studios revealed their next entry in the Lakor Baby line and it’s none other then Ultraman.

Even more interesting is that the figure will indeed include a Kaiju to fight…and not just any Kaiju but the King himself: a little baby Godzilla as an accessory/companion piece.

Standing at 150 mm, other accessories included with this figure are: two swappable hands, two ladles, a bracelet, energy effect parts, a building, and an in scale human figure.

Released with the tag line “Take Happiness Home” however, with the release date not officially revealed as of this posting, it is currently unknown when you can take this bundle of happiness home…or for how much.
