Kenelephant Eiji Tsuburaya & Ultraman 1/12 Statue Release Info

Posted on October 14, 2017 at 12:18 pm by Kiryu under Ultraman

Kenelephant Brands just unveiled a unique statue for fans of Ultraman. Cast in polystone, this 1/12 Ultraman statue is referencing an old photo of Eiji Tsuburaya himself on set during the production of the original Ultraman. For those of you that own August Ragone’s book: Eiji Tsuburaya: Master of Monsters you’ll instantly recognize this piece as the cover for said book.

But, this awesome piece comes with a catch: the Kenelephant Eiji Tsuburaya & Ultraman 1/12 Statue will set you back about 32,400 yen. It’ll be released in February 2018 but it seems like only 300 or so of these will be made.

S.H. Figuarts Ultraman Type A Suit Revealed

Posted on April 21, 2017 at 2:14 am by ZeoRangerV under Ultraman

Bandai Tamashii Nations continue their line of show-accurate Ultraman S.H. Figuarts figures with the announcement of the Ultraman Type A Suit! This figure is based on the character’s appearance in the first 13 episodes of the original series, sporting a slightly leaner build, more muted red accents and an alternate show-accurate head. Currently the figure’s only known accessory is a Specium Ray effect part, likely along with a number of alternate hands.

Ultraman Type A suit will be released in September, for the price of 5940 yen.

S.H. Figuarts Ultraman 50th Anniversary Edition Gallery

Posted on November 14, 2016 at 8:36 pm by Den-O under TokuNation, TokuNation Spotlights, Ultraman

For the first time ever the original giant hero makes his appearance in the S.H. Figuarts line! After years of steady Ultra-Act releases that line has now been retired with it’s characters having been folded into S.H. Figuarts beginning with this release, S.H. Figuarts Ultraman 50th Anniversary Edition!

Celebrating 50 years of the Ultraman franchise, which began in earnest in 1966, this new release seeks to improve upon past flaws and open a new chapter for Ultraman figures. And does it live up to it’s expectations? Well that depends on your point of view. This figure seeks to replicate almost perfectly the design of the Ultraman suit. It’s nature as a poseable toy sort of comes second. But it’s undeniably a well made figure that should include more than enough accessories to make up for any issues you might take with it’s design. Such as the famous Baltan Ship, or the Tamashii Action Option Building sets.

We’ve attached a small selection of images to this post, but you can see over 50 images in the full thread. Just click “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post to see our full S.H. Figuarts Ultraman 50th Anniversary Edition gallery! We’ll be back

Ultra Noodle Series Revealed

Posted on June 9, 2016 at 12:34 am by Kiryu under Ultraman

Bandai had a rather unusual reveal for us at the Tokyo Toy Show with a line of various Ultraman characters that transform into containers of cup ramen.

At the moment, we don’t know when this bizarre toy line will be released but at the very least we know they’ll cost a rather affordable 850 yen a piece.

At the same time, Bandai’s youtube channel posted a teaser for the Ultra Noodle Series which you can view in the box below:

S.H. Figuarts Ultraman & Alien Baltan Release Info

Posted on February 22, 2016 at 8:11 am by ZeoRangerV under Ultraman

With Ultraman set to celebrate his 50th birthday in July (along with the birthday of his creator Eiji Tsuburaya), many collectors speculated that this month would see the release of the S.H. Figuarts Ultraman figure previously revealed at last year’s Tamashii Nations event. And thanks to the latest set of magazine scans, we can now confirm this to be the case!

S.H. Figuarts Ultraman will be a mass release figure, retailing for 5200 yen. His accessories include a selection of effect parts, including of course his signature Specium Ray attack. In addition to this two scaled “Option Act Building Sets” will be released that month, retailing at 2700 yen each and coming in standard and damaged variants. However if both of these things take your fancy, a special Ultraman 50th Anniversary set is also being released, costing 8000 yen and including Ultraman, a special colour version of the building set AND a scaled Alien Baltan spacecraft.

As for Baltan itself? That’ll be joining the line the following month in August, retailing for 5940 yen. No word on the previously revealed Zetton figure yet, but expect that to join shortly afterward.

Stay tuned for more information on these figures in the coming week!

City Shrouded in Darkness puts players in the role of a civilian trying to survive a Kaiju battle that erupted in the middle of a city. Various franchises will be featured in this unique game, with Ultraman already being confirmed and Godzilla currently rumoured(though unconfirmed at the time of this writing) via the Gormaru Island Facebook page, the same face book page also posted a teaser which can be viewed by making the jump here.

No release date or plans for localization for the game’s been announced just quite yet, though it’s been confirmed for PS Vita and PS4 consoles exclusively.
