Toei has opened an official website announcing a new GODZILLA anime project!

This new feature will be written by Gentaro Urobuchi, who most fans will probably recognize as the mind behind Kamen Rider Gaim! The animation will be handled by Polygon Pictures, the studio responsible for Knights of Sidonia and Transformers Prime. Sadly, no major story details have been revealed at this time.

Currently, the Godzilla anime is scheduled for a release in 2017! Stay tuned to TokuNation for further details.

And now the crown jewel of tonight’s reveals! After a long long wait S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Drive Type Tridoron has finally been confirmed for release through the Tamashii Web Shop, in TWO varieties!

Up first we have sort a standard release version of this figure. S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Drive Type Tridoron is set for release in January 2016 for 5940 yen. This version of the release includes Type Tridoron, 2 sets of hands, the alternate “Krim mode” head, a Trailer Gun, and the Type Speed & Type Tridoron Shift Cars.

What’s really interesting is this second sort of deluxe release for the figure. S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Drive Type Tridoron Tire Blending Set. This set includes all of the above listed accessories but ALSO includes a massive array of additional parts and weapons to replciate Drive’s Tire Blending ability in this form; Attack 123 Combo Tire, People Saver Combo Tire, Construction Site Combo Tire, Justice Cage weapon, 10 Ton Weight Weapon, Rumble Smasher weapon, and the Cure Quicker Accessory. This hefty set will also release in January 2016 for 8100 yen.

Updating our article from earlier today, the Tamashii Web Shop has just released official images and release info for the upcoming S.I.C. Kamen Rider Ryugen Budou Arms!

The 3rd S.I.C. entry from Kamen Rider Gaim, Ryugen Budou Arms will be released February 2017 as a Tamashii Web Exclusive for 8856 yen. Included with Ryugen will be 5 additional hands, an display pedestal for the armor mode of the figure, his Budou Ryuho handgun, and 3 Lockseeds! Updating our article from earlier today, the Tamashii Web Shop has just released official images and release info for the upcoming S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Deep Specter!

Deep Specter was just on revealed at the Tamashii Nations Akihabara showroom last week so confirmation of his release is great news indeed. Deep Specter will be released in February 2017 as a Tamashii Web Exclusive for 6264 yen. He includes 3 sets of hands, a replacement hood, and his Deep Thrasher weapon.

Absent from San Diego Comic Con 2016 but teased for Power Morphicon 5, Bandai America delivered – the first wave of Power Rangers Ninja Steel product was revealed this past weekend! On display were the following items:

  • 5″ Figures (Red, White, Pink, Blue, Yellow Ninja Steel Rangers)
  • Ninja Steel Megazord (combined and individual zords)
  • Ninja Steel sword (name not yet revealed)
  • Ninja Steel blaster (name not yet revealed)
  • Ninja Star Morpher

Bandai America also answered a few questions about this upcoming product. Jokingly, they stated the slits in the skirts for the 5″ female Rangers was done because they were tired of not being able to pose them in more than one pose at all the conventions (in reality, they heard the feedback from fans and made the change for this toy line). These figures are a new production run of the Bandai Japan Ninninger figures, and the females are brand new molds. The sword accessory is also larger than the Bandai Japan one. The ninja stars that you see are rough mock-ups, the actual final versions did not ship in time for them to be displayed with the product. They will be a soft foam like plastic because kids will want to throw them, but they will be fun and of course, very collectible.

Finally after months of waiting Bandai has at long last confirmed the release of one highly anticipated Rider figuart and two more releases fans have eagerly awaited. Confirmed via an image on the Tamashii Web Shop front page today are releases of the following:

S.H. Figuarts Type Tridoron Tire Mix-Up Set
S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Deep Specter
S.I.C. Kamen Rider Ryugen Budou Arms

Type Tridoron’s release follows a lengthy and uncertain wait that made many fans anxious. Additionally it has been confirmed that Type Tridoron Tire Mix-Up Set will be sold temperately. We just saw images of Deep Specter at the Akihabara Bandai display last week. And S.I.C. Ryugen has been seen previously only at Tamashii events so it’s a welcome surprise to see his release as well.

All 4 of these figures are slated to be released as Tamashii Web Exclusives. We’ll update you as soon as pricing, release dates, and official images become available for each of these figures!

The Power Rangers Dino Supercharge toy line is slowly coming to a close but that didn’t stop Bandai America from showing off what’s left at this year’s Power Morphicon 5! We went through the booth taking pictures of some items that you already have, as well as the new items that you don’t! As we continue to look at all the news and events from Power Morphicon 5, easily the biggest reveal (toy-wise) was that of the Legacy Power Sword. That’s right – Bandai America has figured out a way to package a 1:1 scale sword in a box and to have a retailer sell it as such. And that is AWESOME! A little bit of sad news for those who have been waiting for the release of the first trade paperback of the new BOOM! Studios Mighty Morphin Power Rangers series – it has been delayed for a week, now releasing in comic book stores on September 14th and book stores on September 20th. No reason for the delay has been given.

The BOOM! Studios Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Volume 1 TPB collects issues #0 through #4 of the popular comic book series Mighty Morphin Power Rangers and is labeled as “Green Ranger Year One”. Included are images of each cover of the book as well as the Adventures of Bulk and Skull.
