Tamashii features 2016: S.H. Figuarts Takeshi Hongo & Kamen Rider Black Luminous Ver.

Posted on May 20, 2016 at 10:14 pm by Den-O under Conventions, Kamen Rider, Other Conventions

A new pair of items has just gone on display at Tamashii Features 2016! Kind of an odd couple, neither of these figures currently has any confirmed release details at all, but they’re so cool we had to share them.

First up is S.H. Figuarts Takeshi Hongo! Representing actor Hiroshi Fujioka as he appeared in 1971’s original Kamen Rider series, this figure would potentially be the first ever figuart released of a tokusatsu hero in their civilian form. Could this be a new trend further down the line? Next up is a unique possible re-release of an old favorite. S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Black Luminous Ver. A reuse of the incredibly popular Black Renewal figure but with the added feature of LED compound eyes! A Tamashii “Stage Act Wireless” set is also apparently included with this figure.

Again neither of these reveals are confirmed for release but they were simply too incredible not to share. All image of Hongo & Black come courtesy of Dengeki Hobby Web.

S.H.MonsterArts Godzilla Feat. EVA-01 Edition Revealed

Posted on May 19, 2016 at 10:19 pm by Den-O under Godzilla

Yet another dual tribute to Hideaki Anno’s upcoming Shin Godzilla/Godzilla Resurgence and his prolific anime series Neon Genesis Evangelion has just been revealed!

Releasing in January 2017 is S.H.MonsterArts Godzilla Feat. EVA-01! Similar in nature to the recently revealed Mecha Godzilla Eva 01 Version vinyl, this figure is a cross promotion for the upcoming theatrical release of Shin Godzilla. This particular release is based on the Godzilla 1994 monsterart which is pretty cool considering the following year is when Evangelion premiered. This version of Godzilla is done up in iconic Eva Unit 01 color scheme which oddly gives him the appearance of wearing a green bikini. (Try unseeing that!)

S.H.MonsterArts Godzilla Feat. EVA-01 will be released as a Tamashii Web Exclusive for 9936 yen.

The Order Movie Teaser Released – Crowdfunding Details Revealed

Posted on May 18, 2016 at 1:53 pm by Chris under Power Rangers

After weeks of teasing and brief behind-the-scenes clips, The Order Movie finally released its teaser trailer early this morning. Included with it is the Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign asking for $250,000 over the next 2 months to help create this movie though the campaign page states the movie will be made no matter what – fan funding only assists in upping the quality of the finished product.

The Order, from what can be pieced together from Facebook posts from actors and what is revealed on the campaign page, is a top secret group of enforcers (who take down the really bad bad guys) who end up turning on their own – but who is in the right and who is in the wrong? The Order Movie was created by Karan Ashley and David Fielding.

Fans can help make The Order Movie even better through donations. Of important note is the inclusion of the Official Power Morphicon convention organizer, Scott Zilner, as part of the production staff as set and prop designer. One of the perks (at the $400 donation level) is an evening out with the actors during this year’s Power Morphicon. A similar perk is available for the RangerStop Convention as well. The band Eyeshine, whose lead singer is Johnny Yong Bosch, is providing the soundtrack.

For the teaser and all the details – click here and check out the Indiegogo campaign page.

Important note – TokuNation.com does not officially endorse any crowdfunded projects due to alleged continued misconduct with crowdfunding in the past (MMPR Film, The Independent Power Rangers Movie). Fans donate at their own risk. This story was posted at our own discretion and not at the request of anyone involved in the production of this movie. We wish all those involved all the best and look forward to the release of the movie.
