Studios have announced a brand new Power Rangers Kickstarter for the 30th Anniversary of the worldwide iconic franchise.  As a sequel Kickstarter to their original, previous Kickstarter, this campaign features a real once in a lifetime opportunity to complete your Power Rangers comic book collections.

The main offerings are:

  • Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #1 with special gateway foldable cover featuring classic Goñi Montes helmet covers of the original six Power Rangers

Two new entries have been revealed for the ever-expanding arsenal of the 47th Super Sentai series Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger!

The newest releases for the series will consist of-

*God Sasori a black and gold scorpion that can form a claw-weapon for King-Ohger.
*God Batta a grasshopper that grants King-Ohger powerful armor

Together with the previously revealed God Kabuto, these 3 ShoGods form the almighty combo Mecha: Legend King-Ohger!

Both DX God Sasori & DX God Batta are scheduled for release in April 2023.

Sasori is priced at 3850 Yen while Batta will cost 2750 Yen.
Alternatively, a special set containing all 3 Gods- Kabuto, Batta, Sasori- will be available for 10450 Yen.

A full trailer has finally been released for the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers 30th anniversary special- Once & Always!

This new special adventure features several Power Rangers veterans returning to battle a revitalized Rita Repulsa.

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always will be released Wednesday, April 19 2023 ONLY on Netflix

Bandai Japan has announced another item in to the lineup from the Complete Style Gigantic (CSG) line – and Kamen Rider Kuuga fans rejoice!  The Pegasus Bowgun will see a CSG release with more details (and orders) coming soon.  This item will be available via Premium Bandai Japan.  We do not have any details or information on whether or not this will see a USA release.

Hasbro has announced release information for two more entries in the fan-favorite Lightning Collection line!

The new figures in question are-


*Lost Galaxy Yellow Ranger
*SPD Yellow Ranger

Both figures are listed by Hasbro as GameStop exclusives with limited quantities also available on the Hasbro Pulse store.

Lost Galaxy Yellow & SPD Yellow are currently scheduled for release in June 2023, with a price of $24.99 USD!

This past weekend saw the conclusion to the Super Sentai series Avataro Sentai DonBrothers.  While we bid farewell to our heroes from the last year, Bandai has continued the new tradition of offering an adult-targeted collectibles in their Memorial Edition toy line.

Available for pre-order now is the Memorial DonBlaster – an adult-sized version of the DX DonBlaster.  The size is roughly 125% larger than the original release, features background music from the show and dialogue from the characters.  It will come with the core 5 Avataro Gears as well as Momo’s Robotaro Gear.  For early pre-orders, a KingOhger Gear is included.

Toei has announced a new Super Sentai crossover special, featuring the Avataro Sentai Donbrothers facing off against the Kikai Sentai Zenkaiger!

Taking place one year after the finale of Donbrothers, the special begins when Zenkaiser appears to attack Don Momotaro.

The conflict between these two activates the DonZenkai Blade & Victory SuperGear which unlocks new power forms for both-
Golden Zenkaiser and DonZenkai Momotaro.

Donbrothers VS Zenkaiger will receive a theatrical release on May 3 2023 with a home media release scheduled for September 2023.

We have our first look at the first auxiliary mecha for the upcoming Ohsama Sentai KingOhger series.

DX Snail Gatling is a snail that becomes a galling gun while DX Rolling Hammer is a wrecking ball made from a pillbug.

Look for these items to release later this spring/early summer. No official release has been shared yet.

As the tokusatsu community continues to grow and evolve, we want to celebrate the fans who make up that community.  Specifically, we want to highlight and celebrate a number of Black content creators in the tokusatsu community.

Brokusatsu is a content creator on both YouTube as well as social media with impressive a full catalogue of high-quality photos of our favorite tokusatsu characters from Kamen Rider, Super Sentai, and Power Rangers.  On YouTube, Brokusatsu does “Brokucast”, a podcast-styled series where he shares his thoughts on the news in the tokusatsu communities, as well as product reviews.

We’ve uploaded a few photos from Brokusatsu‘s gallery that he selected here in this story.  But you have to see the full gallery because there are some really amazing shots.
