Toy Tuesdays: DX Kyoryuger & Den-Liner Resshas Gallery

Posted on June 24, 2014 at 2:25 am by Den-O under Super Sentai, TokuNation, TokuNation Spotlights

Time for a double dose of legendary train hero power-ups from Ressha Sentai ToQger! And it’s also time for TokuNation to test drive it’s newest segment, Toy Tuesdays! Each week on Tuesdays (most of them anyway) we plan to bring you a new toy gallery. This week it just so happens to be a pair of new figures but we’re going to be digging into a back log of rare & vintage toys as well as this segment progresses. So stay tuned!

The recently released DX Kyoryuger & Den-Liner Resshas are featured in the Heisei Rider Vs. Show Raider: Kamen Rider Taisen Featuring Super Sentai film. But each are of course based on heroes of the past! One from Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger, the other from the first train themed hero series, Kamen Rider Den-O! Each is based on the central mecha of their respective series albeit in a miniaturized form. Combining Kyorguer Ressha with ToQ Oh results in ToQ Oh Kyoryuzin but when you add Den-Liner to the mix you get ToQ Oh Kyoryuzin featuring Den-Liner!

Check out our 40 image gallery for this pair of new Resshas after the jump by clicking “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post.

Power Rangers Legacy Toy Info: Ivan Ooze, Movie Rangers, Tigerzord, Saba!

Posted on June 23, 2014 at 4:10 pm by Den-O under Power Rangers

Last week came the revelation that the Power Rangers Legacy toyline is far from over.  It was thanks to @razzle1337 on twitter that we learned of the existence of these upcoming items. Now we’ve got a little more clarity for what these upcoming items will be like. Updated info from Raz via TRU’s computer system indicates:

Legacy Movie 5” Figure – $16.99
– Assortment# 97020
– Toys R Us Item Number# 207678
– 6 Figure UPC’s found
– Figures from MMPR Movie
– Replicate original packaging
– Includes 1 battle gear item
– Assortment includes Ivan Ooze

Legacy Saba – $99.99
– Assortment# 97165
– Toys R Us Item Number# 206345
– Highly detailed replica
– Show accurate speaking
– Tiger animatronics
– Die cast
– Lights and sound

White Tigerzord – $79.99
– Assortment# 97205
– Toys R Us Item Number# 207708
– Die cast
– Zordbuilder compatible
– Morphs with MMPR Dragonzord

These juicy tidbits reveal that not only will we be getting at least 5  Power Ranger from the original theatrical film but also Ivan Ooze! Though it’s curious that Ivan would be in the assortment but there would be only 6 UPC’s total, 1 ranger may be left out in the initial assortments then.

Legacy Saba will feature diecast as well as animatronic features for his mouth ensuring total accuracy.  And this new batch of info brings confirmation that the Legacy Tigerzord will feature the zordbuilder system. Love it or hate it the system appears to be here to stay. The information provided even specifically alludes to the Tigerzord’s ability to combine or “Morph” with the Dragonzord!

S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Baron Banana Arms Gallery

Posted on June 18, 2014 at 9:44 pm by Den-O under Kamen Rider

Come on, Banana Arms!

The second release from Kamen Rider Gaim in the S.H. Figuarts line is here! S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Baron Banana Arms!

As a follow up/simultaneous release with S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Gaim, Baron is the perfect compliment to the orange samurai. As with Gaim there’s no Arms Change ability here, but there are gorgeous paint apps and a wealth of accessories to help mitigate that. Kamen Rider Baron includes a variety of extra hands, a closed Banana Lock Seed, as well as both forms of his trademark weapon the Banaspear! The founder of Team Baron has never looked better! Even on the DX Lock Vehicle Rose Attacker Kaitou looks the part of a warrior seeking power.

Please check out our full 50+ image gallery after the jump by clicking “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post. And in just over a week or so we’ll be back with a gallery of S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Zangetsu!

S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Gaim Orange Arms & Bonus Stage Gallery

Posted on June 13, 2014 at 11:25 pm by Den-O under Kamen Rider

Lock on!

After months of vinyls, Arms Action, & Arms Change figures Kamen Rider Gaim has finally made it’s way to the collector line releases from Bandai of Japan. Recently released is the long awaited S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Gaim!

This gorgeous figure represents Gaim’s basic form using his Orange Arms. And although the S.H. Figuarts line doesn’t allow for the Arms Change gimmick seen in the mass retail line, this is an absolutely drop dead gorgeous high end release that seriously makes up for that loss of gimmick. Gaim as a stand alone figure is brilliant, but he also includes his trademark Musou Saber, the orange themed Daidaimaru, 4 extra sets of hands, and a closed Orange Lock Seed. This guy seriously comes packed with it all!

To top off this gallery we’ve also included images of the Bonus first run display base set include with S.H. Figuarts Gaim & Baron pre-orders. This gorgeous set piece accents what are already magnificent figures. If you missed out on it I highly recommend finding it before prices go up.

Please check out our full 80 image gallery of S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Gaim after the jump. We’ll be coming back later this weekend with the second gallery in our series of SHF Gaim releases, this time with the Knight of Spear, S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Baron!

Arms Change AC12 Kamen Rider Duke Gallery

Posted on June 6, 2014 at 1:21 am by Den-O under Kamen Rider

Fight Power! Fight Power! Fight Fight Fight Fight F-F-F-F-Fight!

And who better to bring the fight than everyone’s favorite evil, world conquering, backstabbing, brain switching, mad scientist extraordinaire!? Today’s gallery is of AC12 Arms Change Kamen Rider Duke!

Kamen Rider Duke Lemon Energy Arms is the 2nd of only two Energy Riders released at retail which seems odd considering his lack of appearances. However what isn’t odd is just how nice this guy is. As with all Arms Change figures Duke is of course from the main budget toyline, but he’s solidly made, well painted and is just tons of fun. Duke’s Lemon Energy Arms at first glance was thought to be a Mango Arms remold. However that isn’t the case! Read on to to see the differences between the two in our main gallery thread where we also have images of every Arms Change Duke has!

AND as a special bonus we’ve included a Baron Lemon Energy Arms conversion mini-tutorial! Though it’s as simple as removing the right screws and swapping some parts we wanted to make sure everyone had the opportunity to recreate this unique power for Kamen Rider Baron in toy form! Click “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post to be taken to over 70 images of this figure!

S.H. Figuarts Tricera Ranger Gallery

Posted on June 3, 2014 at 2:40 am by Den-O under Power Rangers, Super Sentai

One of the most anticipated S.H. Figuarts of the year has just been released! S.H. Figuarts Tricera Ranger is of course from the classic series Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger. Or if you’re picking up the US release then he’s the original Blue Ranger from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers! Either way this is one fantastic figure to add to your collection!

On his own Tricera Ranger is an absolutely gorgeous figure. In this photographers opinion he’s the best of the Zyurangers released thus far. This figure nails the look of his onscreen counterpart near perfectly. As you can see from the images in this and our previous Zyuranger/MMPR galleries, Tricera/Blue Ranger is perfectly suited to vehicles released in both the MMPR & Zyuranger toylines,  just like his team mates Dan/Billy will look right at home on any of them.

Tricera Ranger includes not only the standard accessories of extra hands, a Ranger Stick, and Ranger Slinger. But he also comes with his signature Tricera Lances as well as their combined form. AND he includes the newly molded Sabre Daggers & Ptera Arrow necessary to form the Howling Cannon! Of course for our Power Rangers fans out there that means you just got 2 steps closer to forming the Power Blaster! These accessories, as well as those included with S.H. Figuarts Mammoth Ranger gets us most of the way there, but the appropriate Mammoth Breaker will be included with the upcoming S.H. Figuarts Tiger Ranger.

If you’re on the fence about this figure, don’t be. S.H. Figuarts Tricera Ranger/Mighty Morphin Blue Ranger will not disappoint. Click “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post to see over 60 images of this wonderful figure!

S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Shin Gallery

Posted on June 1, 2014 at 9:23 pm by Den-O under Kamen Rider

It’s time for TokuNation to take a dark turn down memory lane, all the way back to 1992. That was the year the film Shin Kamen Rider: Prologue was released. This film was the very definition of a grim gritty reboot for the beloved Kamen Rider franchise. As “Prologue” implies, this film was originally meant to set up a new rider TV series. Despite the films incredible practical & special effects, it’s dark re-imagining of the rider concept put off too many old school fans while simultaneously frightening new young fans of the time.

Until now Shin has been mostly relegated to making special appearances in Kamen Rider team-up films such as All-Riders VS Dai Shocker, Let’s Go Kamen Riders, or the Heisei VS Showa Taisen. But now Bandai & Tamashii Nations has shown the most monstrous of riders some serious love. Soon to be released is a Super Imaginative Chogokin figure of Shin. But that’s not all, recently released via the Tamashii Web Shop is S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Shin! And he’s the subject of today’s gallery as well!

S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Shin is the best representation of this rider’s grotesque form that’s ever been released. Though he’s lite in the accessories department, frankly Shin shouldn’t have any. He has no bike in his rider form, and unlike more modern riders Shin carries no weapons, and has never been shown to use any special powered up attacks. Instead relying on brute strength to fight other Cyborg Soldiers like himself. Click “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post to see the full gallery of this fantastic figure!

Power Rangers Legendary 5 Inch RPM Red Ranger Gallery

Posted on June 1, 2014 at 2:31 pm by Chris under Power Rangers

The wave 4 assortment of the Power Rangers Super Megaforce 5 inch action figures has been released (online at least) and it’s one of our first chances to pick up some of the Legendary Red Rangers from past seasons. With special thanks to our friend Fury Diamond of RangerCrew.com we are able to bring you some great galleries of all the figures in this case assortment. First up? The Red Ranger from the fan-favorite series Power Rangers RPM!

For someone who is personally a huge fan of the S.H. Figuarts line of figures (if you don’t know what those are, check out our galleries section and browse through numerous entries) I can say I was pleasantly surprised at how simple, yet fun and detailed, this figure actually is. While there’s some minor issues that will always bug me (the way the figure is molded where the back is curved while standing straight up causing posing issues), I actually cannot recommend this figure enough. While the weapons aren’t necessarily painted (the Street Saber has a silver painted blade, but the Nitro Blaster is simply red plastic) the detail in them is pretty slick for a 5 inch action figure.

The Legendary RPM Red Ranger comes with his Nitro Blaster and his Street Saber accessories, features a decent amount of posability and articulation, and isn’t going to cost you upwards of $40 like S.H. Figuarts do. If you’re a fan of either Power Rangers RPM or the Super Sentai version Go-Onger, this figure is, in my honest opinion, a must purchase (until a higher grade collectible figure is released which there are no plans for right now).

Please click here to see 30+ pictures of the RPM Red Ranger! Stay tuned throughout the next couple weeks as we continue to release galleries of all the figures from this case assortment. Check your local stores and favorite online retailers to see if and when these figures come in stock! GET IN GEAR!
