S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider ZX & Helldiver Gallery – Toku Toy Box Entry

Posted on December 1, 2017 at 8:10 pm by Den-O under Contests and Giveaways, Kamen Rider, TokuNation, TokuNation Spotlights

**This gallery qualifies you for an entry in our Toku Toy Box giveaway! Check out the official rules to see how!

The first new gallery tied into our very recently announced Toku Toy Box 2017 giveaway is here! Dating back to 1982 TV Special “Birth of the 10th! Kamen Riders All Together!!” is the very first Showa movie rider, Kamen Rider ZX. Largely forgotten for many years, ZX’s  appearances have been somewhat sporadic and brief since his inception. He has however enjoyed cult popularity in the Kamen Rider Spirits manga for some time. ZX actor Shun Sagata even managed to finally reprise his role as the character in 2014’s Heisei Rider VS Showa Rider: Kamen Rider Taisen!

This special double sized gallery not only takes a look at S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider ZX, released just over 4 years ago now, but also his Rider Machine S.H. FIguarts Helldiver! Which itself was only released this past month. That’s quite a bit of time separating a rider and ride, so we figured it was best to double up and give you a comprehensive look at both!

We’ve attached the full 80 image gallery to this post, but you can also read an extensive review of both ZX & the Helldiver by clicking “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post. We’ll be posting another brand new Toku Toy Box gallery this weekend as well.

Toku Toy Box 2017 Announcement!

Posted on December 1, 2017 at 6:09 pm by Den-O under Contests and Giveaways, General Tokusatsu News, Kamen Rider, Power Rangers, Super Sentai, TokuNation, TokuNation Site Updates, TokuNation Spotlights, Ultraman

Once again we’ve come upon the time of year we love most – time for the members and staff of TokuNation.com to celebrate their respective holidays with their friends and loved ones. But it’s also time for TokuNation to celebrate itself. Our little community has hit another milestone this year, our 6 year anniversary!! January 4th 2018, will officially mark 6 years since TokuNation first went public as part of the network of TFW2005.COM, ToyArk.com, and HissTank.com through both network owner Tony_Bacala and TokuChris.

For 6 years now we’ve posted news, rumors, toy galleries, videos, and even dabbled in podcasts for a bit (never forget Talkin Toku!). As times have changed we have tried to change with them, delivering you content in different ways, updating our photography to take better galleries, and expanded in to new areas (check out our official YouTube channel, full launch coming in 2018!). But there’s one thing that we don’t want to change – our annual Toku Toy Box giveaway!

Like years past TokuNation is hosting an annual holiday giveaway open to ALL registered users! You’ll recall that in years’ past giveaways, users could post in a selection of galleries within the contest period to automatically be entered into the drawing for 1 of 4 prize packs. This year however we’ve opened things up. Not only will we be posting a number of eligible galleries throughout the month of December, but every gallery we’ve posted in 2017 also makes you eligible! If you’ve already posted in the 1 of the 40 galleries we’ve produced this year, then you’re already entered. If not, you already have 40 chances with more on the way this month! To show our appreciation to you, the community, we’ve assembled 4 incredible prize packs spanning Power Rangers, Super Sentai, Kamen Rider, Ultraman, and more!

Throughout the month of December we will be revealing all the prize packs on the TokuNation YouTube Channel. On Christmas Eve we will reveal the “Grand Prize” of each of the 4 prize package categories. As always, there will be late additions as we accumulate things or find incredible deals on various items throughout the Holiday season. A quick special thanks to the individuals who donated (a) item(s) for this year’s Toku Toy Box:

Click “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post to be taken to the OFFICIAL RULES for of Toku Toy Box 2017! Remember – we’re keeping the prizes an absolute top secret for now so keep an eye on our frontpage and be sure to subscribe to the official TokuNation YouTube Channel. Trust us, you are going to LOVE what we have in store for you this year! For now though, thank you. Thanks to all of you who continue to call this place your home for news, discussion, images, sales, friendships, artwork, videos, podcasts, and everything else in between. Happy Holidays from all of us, and best of luck in our giveaway! It’s our gift to you this, and every, holiday season!

Tamashii Nations 2017 – First Look at SH Figuarts Kamen Rider Cronus

Posted on December 1, 2017 at 5:01 am by Chris under Conventions, Kamen Rider, Other Conventions

The last big reveal of the day comes from the beloved Kamen Rider Ex-Aid series. Shown off on display is none other than the final boss himself – Kamen Rider Cronus! Displayed with a Gamer Driver (aka Gamer Driver version), Kamen Rider Cronus looks absolutely glorious.

Rumor from @_Erasu on Twitter, from a trusted source, is that the Kamen Rider Cronus will come with both the Gamer Driver and Bugster-type versions of belts. Stay tuned for more information and, hopefully, better pictures! Picture courtesy of @YongouOYander on Twitter.’

UPDATE! New image with Bugster belt courtesy @EDxie3 on Twitter.

Tamashii Nations 2017 – First Look at Shinkocchou Seihou Kamen Rider Wizard

Posted on December 1, 2017 at 4:43 am by Chris under Conventions, Kamen Rider, Other Conventions

The Shinkocchou Seihou series of S.H. Figuarts has the design process starting with the bone structure of the character and building up, providing more realization without limiting articulation. At the Tamashii Nations 2017 event currently happening in Japan, images have leaked of the Shinkocchou Seihou version of Kamen Rider Wizard!

Currently, two images are linked to this article courtesy of @YongouOYander on Twitter. Check out the new version of Kamen Rider Wizard by clicking the title of the story. No further details on this figure are available at this time – it is simply on display.

Tamashii Nations 2017: Soul of Chogokin Dragon Caesar Officially Unveiled!

Posted on November 30, 2017 at 10:27 am by Den-O under Conventions, Other Conventions, Power Rangers, Super Sentai

“Appear, Guardian Beast Dragon Caesar!”

As though Burai himself commanded the great beast to appear, we have finally been treated to the official unveiling of the Soul Of Chogokin Dragon Caesar (MMPR Dragonzord) at Tamashii Nations 2017!

This gorgeous companion piece to SOC Daizyujin/Megazord was teased some months ago with initial design sketches having been released by Bandai Japan. Now, as Tamashii Nations 2017 continues to surprise us with new reveals, the SOC Dragon Caesar figure is on full display. We don’t currently have any confirmed information about it’s release date, format, or pricing. As soon as any of that information comes to light, we’ll be sure to share it with you. These images came courtesy of Amiami.

Tamashi Nations 2017 Reveals: S.I.C Lord Baron, S.H.Figuarts Cross Z And MORE!

Posted on November 30, 2017 at 1:03 am by Kiryu under Kamen Rider, Ultraman

The much anticipated and teased about Tamashii Nations 2017 is finally here, and we’re kicking things into high gear with a plethora of new reveals for Ultraman and Kamen Rider.

First off, on the Shinchokou Seihou front, two of Kamen Rider W’s forms were shown: Heat Metal, and Luna Trigger. For Showa Rider fanatics, there’s the announcement of Kamen Rider 2, New Cyclone, and a Shinchokou Seihou Kamen Rider Amazon to round things off.

In addition to that, we have our first look at the next S.H.Figuarts Kamen Rider Build releases: Machine Builder and Kamen Rider Cross Z! For Ultraman collectors, we have a trio of Ultraman Geed-related S.H.Figuarts with Ultraman Geed Royal Megamaster, Zero Beyond, Belial Atrocious, and Imit-Ultraman.

We have new S.I.C too with the next batch of Kamen Rider Gaim S.I.Cs on display: Lord Baron, Baron Lemon Energy Arms, Kamen Rider Marika, and Ryugen Yomotsu Heguri Arms are present. Finally, Tamashii Lab’s next product was revealed to be a replica of Anhk as a floating arm.

Tamashii Nations will be an ongoing event, so there’ll be more announcements over the course of the weekend. So stay tuned, we’ll continue to provide more info as it’s made avalaible.

S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Lazer Hunter Bike Gamer Level 5 Gallery

Posted on November 24, 2017 at 7:13 pm by Den-O under Kamen Rider, Network News and Updates, TokuNation, TokuNation Spotlights

“5th Gear!”

You’ve seen our previous galleries of the Drago Knight Hunter Z derived Level 5 forms for Kamen Riders Ex-Aid, Brave & Snipe. But now it’s time for Kiriya Kujou to shift into 5th Gear with his own form based on this Gashat! S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Lazer Hunter Bike Gamer Level 5!

Lazer Level 5 is an interesting release because frankly it’s one that many fans have settled for. At the time of it’s announcement, it was the only one of Lazer’s three humanoid rider forms to have been solicited for release. And while it shares elements with his more heavily favored Level 3 form, it’s just not the one that many collectors wanted. Now we know that Lazer Turbo Level 0 is on the way as well, Level 3 seems even more likely to happen in the future. So does this figure merit a spot in your collection? At least ti go with the rest of a 4-player co-op display? Check out our full review to decide for yourself.

We’ve attached the full 70 image gallery to this post, but you can also read the entire review by clicking “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post. We’ll be back next time with a double sized gallery featuring two releases separated by nearly 4 years. It’s been too long since we’ve revisited the Showa Era!

S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Den-O Sword Form Gallery

Posted on November 12, 2017 at 11:41 am by Den-O under Kamen Rider, TokuNation, TokuNation Site Updates, TokuNation Spotlights

“Ore, Sanjou!”

Rumors are circulating that in the next few weeks, at Tamashii Nations 2017, we could see a Shinkocchou Seihou release for Kamen Rider Den-O. The original Sword Form figuart itself was released over 5 years ago as well. With Tamashii Nations making headway through the backlog of Heisei Riders receiving this treatment Den-O very likely could be next. In light of these rumors we’ve decided to take a look back at my namesake with a brand new and up to date gallery of S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Den-O Sword Form!

Den-O Sword Form may be a bit of an older release, but you know what it still has a lot of charm despite the faults we can recognize today. Serving as the first nice 1/12 scale collector figure for Den-O, it set the bar for the numerous releases that would follow it. Den-O was packed out with accessories as well including two forms for the Dengasher, a set of Full Charge effect parts, a Rider Pass, multiple sets of hands and even a set of swap out hip holsters. Mold flaws aside, Den-O Sword Form was a great release for it’s time. But if we indeed are looking at the prospect of a Shinkocchou Seihou release in the near future, I welcome it.

We’ve assembled a full 120 image gallery of S.H. Figuarts Den-O Sword Form. The entire gallery is attached to this post but you can also read through an extensive review of the figure by clicking “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post. We’ll check back in a couple weeks with news from Tamashii Nations 2017, wheter there’s a Seihou Den-O or not.

Posted on November 7, 2017 at 12:38 pm by Den-O under Kamen Rider

“Now, count up your sins.”

In the city of Fuuto, legendary heroes called Kamen Riders protect the citizens from monstrous villains. The first of their kind set the bar very high for what it meant to be a hero, a detective, a mentor, and a man. Defending his city Soukichi Narumi created a legacy of heroism for the next generation to follow as Kamen Rider Skull. Now after years of waiting Bandai has finally given this legendary detective the renewal treatment he deserves with S.H. Figuarts Shinkocchou Seihou Kamen Rider Skull!

Seihou Skull is the 4th release we’ve gotten for this series so far (W, Accel, Hardboilder) and it really is a fantastic one. Utilizing the incredible Seihou W body, this release gives us everything we could want and more for Skull. Multiple display options allow you to turn this figure into 1 of 3 versions of the character; Skull Crystal, Skull, & Impostor Skull. A functioning Lost Driver with Skull Memory as well as an interactive Skull Magnum, numerous hands, two fedoras, two scarves, even a dummy W Driver & Case to re-create Begins Night! Seihou Skull is an all inclusive release sure to please any fan of Kamen Rider W.

This massive 100 image gallery is attached to this post, but you can also read our extensive review of this new release by clicking “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post.
