Let’s Watch Wednesdays Week 16 Kamen Rider Den-O 43-45

Posted on September 30, 2014 at 8:25 pm by Den-O under Kamen Rider, TokuNation, TokuNation Spotlights

Let’s Watch Wednesdays returns from a couple weeks on hiatus back to Kamen Rider Den-O! Zeronos has returned, but that may be all the good news our heroes will have for now.

Yuuto Sakurai, the older one, disappeared some time ago. That fateful day by the lake, the circumstances of it are known only to Ryutaro. If Yuuto Sakurai no longer exists in the memories of others, how can we be sure Ryutaro actually knows what happened? Kai counted on erasing Yuuto from time to connect his future to the present, but he didn’t count on Ryutaro’s memories. And if the two times don’t connect, Momotaros & the others will disappear along with their time, forever. Now that contested moment in time will be revisited by all parties involved. But who actually knows the truth?

Den-O Trivia #16
Back to actors! If you didn’t pick up on it yet, you may have seen Kamen Rider Zeronos’ actor before. Yuichi Nakamura, is the man we’ve come to know and love as the younger Yuuto. However don’t confuse him with the actor of the same name who voiced Beet J Stag from Go-Busters.  This is the Zeronos Yuichi Nakamura.

In any case Nakamura once had another role on an older rider series, Kamen Rider Hibiki! 2 years before he became Yuuto/Zeronos he played Kyosuke Kiriya, who would briefly transform into the at the time unnamed Kamen Rider Kyoki! His role as Kyoki may not have been as long as Zeronos but it’s always fun to see which characters toku actors have played previously.

Nanoblock To Release Wizard, Rider 2, Fourze, and V3

Posted on September 30, 2014 at 7:16 pm by Kiryu under Kamen Rider

Once again almost falling out of the radar is October’s batch of Nanoblock Kamen Riders with Wizard Flame Style, Fourze Base States, Kamen Rider 2 and to round out the Showa rider trio: Kamen Rider V3!

Fourze Base states will include all of the nessicary bricks to build him with his Rocket and Drill Modules for his Limit Break pose, meanwhile Wizard will include parts for his WizSwordGun and Connect spell poses.

Much like Kamen Rider 1, Rider 2 and V3 will both include the nessicary parts to build their respective bikes: New Cyclone and Hurricane though will cost slightly more than Wizard and Fourze. V3 can also be built in either his signature pose or doing his Rider Kick.

Wizard and Fourze both retail for 1500 yen, while V3 and Rider 2 cost 2000 yen.

Kamen Rider Gaim Celebration – Day Four – Kamen Rider Sigurd and Marika

Posted on September 28, 2014 at 9:45 pm by Chris under Kamen Rider, TokuNation, TokuNation Spotlights

The end of Kamen Rider Gaim has come – and at TokuNation.com we’ve chosen to celebrate this very popular series with a send off spanning nine total days looking at every single Rider from the show and movie! Stay tuned because at any time we can announce a contest on our twitter account (@TokuNation)!

And the journey of new episodes for Kamen Rider Gaim has come to an end. The finale aired yesterday afternoon for residents in the Western Hemisphere, as it was airing early Sunday morning in the Eastern Hemisphere. And now that subtitles for the episodes are available, we Kamen Rider Gaim fans will have to settle for waiting until the summer movie is released, encoded, subtitled, and subsequently released. We have some awesome S.H. Figuarts and Arms Change figures coming out to tide us over till then, so expect those in the near future!

Today we’re going to look at cherries and peaches as we dive in to the history of Kamen Rider Sigurd and Kamen Rider Marika (or Malika depending on the translation you want to go with). One started as a shady wanna-be drug dealer, the other as an overzealous assistant to Professor Ryouma, and both shared the same fate in the end (but you’ll have to keep reading for that!).

So go ahead and click “Read More” to get your energy cherry and energy peach on! And don’t forget our previous celebration articles – Day One – Movie Riders, Day Two – The Nut Bros., and Day Three – Kamen Rider Duke! Enjoy the celebration! As always … SPOILERS AHEAD!!!!

Fake Donguri and Darkness Lockseed set review

Posted on September 28, 2014 at 1:42 pm by KamenRiderOOO under Kamen Rider

“BAKAMON! Haji o shiri nasai! NEVER GIVE UP!!!” Even though the series is over, Gaim continues to produce its merchandise through Premium Bandai. The latest release from this past weekend, is the Premium Bandai Gashapon Lockseed Donguri (Oren Voice Version) and Darkness Lockseed set.

The Donguri (Oren Voice Version) Lockseed, otherwise known to some as the Fake Donguri Lockseed, made its debut in Episode 17, bringing some comedy relief to a serious situation in that episode. Created by Oren Pierre Alfonzo, otherwise known as Kamen Rider Bravo, the Lockseed was used by his protégé, Hideyasu Jonouchi, otherwise known as Kamen Rider Gridon.

The Darkness Lockseed set consists of the Dark Orange and Dark Lemon Energy Lockseeds. These two Lockseeds make their debut in Gaim’s Summer movie, “Great Soccer Battle! Golden Fruits Cup!” used by the brainwashed Kouta Kazuraba, aka the titular Kamen Rider Gaim, to transform into the evil Gaim-Yami.

Note that this set is a Gashapon style set, meaning they lack the LED and springloaded action that DX Lockseeds do, and that they need to have their back button repeatedly hit to make the sounds. Though this set was released this past weekend, another batch of it was up for preorder up until September 17th, with an expected release date for that batch being November 2014.
