Let’s Watch Wednesdays Week 16 Kamen Rider Den-O 43-45

Posted on September 30, 2014 at 8:25 pm by Den-O under Kamen Rider, TokuNation, TokuNation Spotlights

Let’s Watch Wednesdays returns from a couple weeks on hiatus back to Kamen Rider Den-O! Zeronos has returned, but that may be all the good news our heroes will have for now.

Yuuto Sakurai, the older one, disappeared some time ago. That fateful day by the lake, the circumstances of it are known only to Ryutaro. If Yuuto Sakurai no longer exists in the memories of others, how can we be sure Ryutaro actually knows what happened? Kai counted on erasing Yuuto from time to connect his future to the present, but he didn’t count on Ryutaro’s memories. And if the two times don’t connect, Momotaros & the others will disappear along with their time, forever. Now that contested moment in time will be revisited by all parties involved. But who actually knows the truth?

Den-O Trivia #16
Back to actors! If you didn’t pick up on it yet, you may have seen Kamen Rider Zeronos’ actor before. Yuichi Nakamura, is the man we’ve come to know and love as the younger Yuuto. However don’t confuse him with the actor of the same name who voiced Beet J Stag from Go-Busters.  This is the Zeronos Yuichi Nakamura.

In any case Nakamura once had another role on an older rider series, Kamen Rider Hibiki! 2 years before he became Yuuto/Zeronos he played Kyosuke Kiriya, who would briefly transform into the at the time unnamed Kamen Rider Kyoki! His role as Kyoki may not have been as long as Zeronos but it’s always fun to see which characters toku actors have played previously.

S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Gridon Donguri Arms Gallery

Posted on September 26, 2014 at 3:09 pm by Den-O under Kamen Rider

Never give up!

Continuing 9 days of celebration for Kamen Rider Gaim and it’s finale, TokuNation proudly presents another long awaited gallery! Today we’re taking a look at S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Gridon (Donguri Arms)! Kamen Rider Gridon is of course Hideyasu Jonouchi, the one time leader of Team Invitto, and half of the dynamic duo we’ve taken to calling the Nut Bros!

S.H. Figuarts Gridon  is another impressive addition to the Gaim line of S.H. Figuarts. Sporting his standard Donguri Arms and brandishing his trademark Donkachi hammer, Gridon is ready to bravely (sort of) save the day! This figure may be a bit sparse on accessories but it’s full of personality and exquisite details. Gridon is another winner in my book, check out our full review & 60 image gallery after the jump to see if he’s a winner in yours.

Our Gaim Celebration continues tomorrow with a look back at Kamen Rider Duke!

S.H. Figuarts Black Beet Official Images

Posted on September 24, 2014 at 11:42 pm by Den-O under Metal Heroes

With magazine scans out of the way for the month official images have begun to circulate for all the recently revealed figures. Today the Tamashii Web Shop has updated with official images and pricing for S.H. Figuarts Black Beet from Juuko B-Fighter!

Black Beet, or as western fans would  know him Shadowborg/General Venjix, will be released as Tamashii Web Exclusive in March 2015 for 5184 yen. It appears as though there will be no western market distribution for the B-Fighter figuarts. So if you have some sentimental love for these designs because of Big Bad Beetleborgs, you may want to get with a Tamashii Web Middleman to secure orders for Black Beet and the previously revealed Blue Beet.

Complete Selection Modification Decadriver Release Details

Posted on September 23, 2014 at 11:24 pm by Den-O under Kamen Rider

Revealed last week, we’ve finally gotten confirmed release information for the Complete Selection Modification Decadriver! However some of this information may hurt collector’s wallets. On one hand the Decadriver itself will retail for 12,960 yen, scheduled for release in February 2015.

However, despite initial speculation, it appears the Rider Cards are sold separately.  That’s right, Also being released in February 2015 for 7,560 yen is what appears  to be a “complete” set of Rider Cards. It would seem these cards will be similar to previous premium card archive sets released for other rider shows. The price suggests this will be an extensive collection of cards, possibly including ALL of Decades’ cards used throughout his various show &  film appearances.

More details will be released by Bandai for both the Deacdriver & Rider Cards set  October 24th.

Super Legends Titanium Ranger Gallery

Posted on September 21, 2014 at 9:36 pm by Den-O under Power Rangers

TokuNation is continuing a Titanium Powered week of galleries with another winner, Super Legends Titanium Ranger!

Following up on our 5″ Super Megaforce Titanium gallery we wanted to take a look at the first “super” figure of this character. Super Legends was a brief albeit very popular line of roughly 6″ scale rangers (and 1 villain) inserted into case assortments of Power Rangers Jungle Fury & RPM figures. Unfortunately the line ended prematurely when the Power Rangers franchise was cancelled with RPM, but of the figures released Titanium Ranger is one of the best. It fact it’s one of the best figures ever released of the character. Super Legends Titanium Ranger is a must own if you’re a fan of the character at all.

Check out 40 images of this great figure as well as a full review by clicking “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post. And be sure to stay tuned this week as we bring you images of the long awaited Power Morphicon Ranger Key Set featuring Titanium Ranger & Jungle Fury Wolf Ranger!

Super Megaforce 5″ Lightspeed Rescue Titanium Ranger Gallery

Posted on September 20, 2014 at 3:15 am by Den-O under Power Rangers

It’s time for another round of Titanium Power at TokuNation! In honor of the Titanium Ranger’s inclusion in the finale of Power Rangers Super Megaforce we’ve got 3 galleries coming up for your viewing pleasure. And the first one is today’s featuring the Super Megaforce 5″ Titanium Ranger from Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue!

Having only just made it to retail in the final Super Megaforce 5″ assortments, this figure has been spotted mostly at Walgreen’s. And I was lucky enough to stumble across one. As a massive fan of the Titanium Ranger I had to own this guy to display with all my other Titanium figures. If you have the chance, and can find this guy for retail price, then definitely pick him up to compliment your 5″ ranger collection. You can always use another 6th ranger. And we don’t exactly get figure of good old Ryan Mitchell very often.

We’ll also be bringing you another pair of galleries later in the week for the Power Morphicon Ranger Key set as well as the Super Legends Titanium Ranger! Stay tuned for these upcoming galleries and for now click “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post to see over 30 images of this unique addition to the line as well as a full review!

Let’s Watch Wednesdays Week 15 Kamen Rider Den-O 40-42

Posted on September 18, 2014 at 4:07 am by Den-O under Kamen Rider, TokuNation, TokuNation Spotlights

“Take Care of Deneb.”

Let’s Watch Wednesdays returns to Kamen Rider Den-O but with the loss of one of our heroes. In case you haven’t noticed we’re rocking a Thursday Edition this week. Techincal difficulties on my end being to blame. But we’ll be back to normal next week.

Yuuto paid the ultimate price when his past self was erased from time. Or so it would seem. The Zeronos cards aren’t all bad after all. While the memories of a person disappear, they are protected from the ravages of time. But with no more green cards left, Yuuto must now resort to the red cards and an even greater price must be paid as well. The memories Yuuto’s made in the present will now cease to be. His past no longer exists, and now neither does his present, nor would it seem does his future. But one thing is certain, Zeronos Zero Form is a power to be reckoned with!

Den-O Trivia #15
It’s time to see if you were paying attention again! This week the show changed up something most people skip right past, the opening! That’s right, the usual rendition of Climax Jump you’re used to was replaced this week by Climax Jump Den-Liner Form. A rendition of the song sung by our lovable Imagin! Episode 40 is the first instance where the opening theme changes and the first where clips from the episode you’re about to watch are inserted into the montage.

Of course this isn’t the only alternate version of Climax Jump out there. In fact when Climax Jump was released as a Single there were 5 versions of the song just on that disc. But there are multiple other versions of the song each tied to a particular form of Den-O as well as several more official remixes of it. I actually know of at least 12 more versions of the song out there, bringing the total close to 20, all of which I have of course.
