S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Lazer Hunter Biker Gamer Level 5 Official Images & Info

Posted on May 17, 2017 at 7:47 pm by Den-O under Kamen Rider

“Fifth Gear!”

Kiriya Kujou finally makes his proper debut in the S.H. Figuarts line. Previously relegated to his upcoming Level 2 bike form, we now have our very first humanoid Lazer. Official images & release info have just dropped for S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Lazer Hunter Biker Gamer Level 5!

Lazer Level 5 is a strange release since his proper rider form, Level 3, has never even been teased before. But one hopes this release would help make that one happen as well. In any case Lazer Level 5 is set for release as a Tamashii Web Exclusive for October, and retails for 6264 yen. As for accessories Kiriya runs pretty lite including jut 4 sets of additional hands and no other items.

Be sure to contact your preferred middleman or service to arrange an order for this figure in the near future.

God Speed Love Special: S.H. Figuarts Kamen Riders Hercus, Ketaros, & Caucasus Gallery

Posted on May 17, 2017 at 12:40 pm by Den-O under Kamen Rider, TokuNation, TokuNation Site Updates, TokuNation Spotlights

“Cast Off.”

It’s been a while since we’ve taken a look at any older releases, but with Shinkocchou Seihou in full swing for Kamen Rider Kabuto, we thought it was time for a return. The next pair of releases due out in that line are the Hopper Bros, but perhaps it’s only a matter of time before the entire original line is redone in this premium style? In anticipation of that we’re going to knock out 3 classic releases today with this special triple gallery from Kabuto’s theatrical film God Speed Love. Today we look at the 3 riders of a future that never came to pass with S.H. Figuarts Kamen Riders Hercus, Ketaros, & Caucasus!

Hercus, Ketaros, & Caucasus are all in fact re[aints & remolds to varying degrees of the original Kamen Rider Kabuto mold. Long before Seihou ever made it obsolete, that mold got a lot of mileage. And these 3 movie exclusive riders may just be the best use of it. While each is undoubtedly pretty close to Kabuto’s standard design, they each offer a unique take on the beetle theme with suit colors we didn’t really see in the series proper. The real question though is, with the chance of Seihou’s to replace these in the next couple years, are they worth your time and money? Let’s find out!

We’ve put together a full 80 images of this trio of riders in our gallery & review thread linked below. Just click “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post to see them all. We’ll be back soon with a brand new gallery from Kamen Rider Drive!

S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Drive Type Special Teased

Posted on May 11, 2017 at 5:28 pm by Den-O under Kamen Rider

Kamen Rider Drive is certainly no stranger to the S.H. Figuarts toyline. Surprising once again, yet another new possible release could continue it’s unprecedented streak. Recently Kamen Rider Dark Drive was confirmed for release, so it’s only fitting that now we have our first look at the other rider exclusive to the Surprise Future movie.

S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Drive Type Special was a no brainer to see after Dark Drive. Given how a majority of the parts are identical between the two it’s no surprise that this figure could see release soon. Kamen Rider Drive continues to outdo itself with repaints and remolds after all. While we don’t have any proper releases details for the figure yet, it’s inclusion at the Akiba Showroom would suggest that they are just around the corner. We’ll update you as more details become available.

S.I.C. Heart Roidmude & S.H. Figuarts ZX Helldiver Official Images & Info

Posted on May 10, 2017 at 7:52 pm by Den-O under Kamen Rider

A pair of new Tamashi Web Exclusive releases have just gone live on the Tamashii Web Shop!

From Kamen Rider Drive we have S.I.C. Heart Roidmude. A companion piece tot he recently released S.I.C. Drive and the upcoming Mashin Chaser. This version of Heart is more directly inspired by Takayuki Takeya’s original design for the character, as  indicated by the heart ventrical wings on his back. Heart will be released in October as a Tamashii Web Exclusive for 8856 yen.

Next up is an odd one. The S.H. Figuarts Helldiver is a companion piece for Kamen Rider ZX. A figuart released way back in 2013, numerous ZX’s had serious QC issues, not limited to but including poor paint applications, loose part fits, etc. It’s surprising to see his bike released nearly 4 years later, and unlike other recent Showa releases, there is currently no two-pack with a slightly altered ZX offered. For now, the Helldiver will also be released in October, for 5400 yen as a Tamashii Web Exclusive.

Get with your preferred middleman or service to secure orders for these releases soon!

S.H. Figuarts Super Mashin Chaser Gallery

Posted on April 30, 2017 at 5:17 pm by Den-O under Kamen Rider, TokuNation, TokuNation Site Updates, TokuNation Spotlights

“Tune Rhino. Super Break Up!”

Kamen Rider Drive has been enjoying quite the second life in the form of various movie appearances & special V-Cinema releases. And luckily so have his allies. Chase had his own in the form of the Kamen Rider Drive Saga: Kamen Rider Chaser film. This direct to video film also featured a brand new form for Chaser, an upgrade of his Roidmude reaper form, which we’re focusing on for today’s gallery. S.H. Figuarts Super Mashin Chaser!

Super Mashin Chaser is actually the 3rd outing so far of the Chaser mold. Following up from Mashin Chaser & Super Dead Heat Drive. But that hasn’t diminished how impressive it is each time eather. This mold still rocks some gorgeous asymmetry, only this time in impressive gold! There’s not much new to say about how the figure is designed, but it does have a striking color scheme. And while it’s lite on accessories outside the new Break Gunner Super Viral Core Loaded Version, it’s still compatible with the previously released Tune/Busou Chaser accessory set! So there’s plenty of play value in this gorgeous figure.

We’ve assembled a full 80 images of this figure for your viewing pleasure. Just click “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” to see the full gallery & review. We’ll see you soon with a couple of new throwback galleries from Kamen Rider’s W & Kabuto!

S.I.C. Kamen Rider Drive Type Speed Gallery

Posted on April 26, 2017 at 6:19 pm by Den-O under Kamen Rider, TokuNation, TokuNation Site Updates, TokuNation Spotlights

“Nice Drive!”

We’re back in the exciting world of Kamen Rider Drive with a brand new gallery of the series first foray into the S.I.C. toyline!

S.I.C. Kamen Rider Drive Type Speed is the shows first entry in this line, soon to be followed by Mashin Chaser and the recently confirmed Heart Roidmude. While I don’t typically pick up S.I.C.’s I could not resist seeing Takeyuki Takeya’s take on this Rider. After all, the famed designer created all of the Roidmudes that Drive and his allies faced in the series. This monstrous rendition of Drive is an impressive piece of design from this prolific creator. And as with most S.I.C.’s it’s positively loaded down with accessories! Such as the Handle Sword, Door Gun, The Max Flare Tire, and plenty of Shift Cars. This is a really all inclusive release that sets the bar pretty high for where this line goes from here.

We’ve attached a selection of images to this post, but you can view over 70 images of S.I.C. Kamen Rider Drive after the jump. Just click “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post.

LVUR PB01 Full Action Kamen Rider Ex-Aid Level 1 Gallery

Posted on April 23, 2017 at 12:54 pm by Den-O under Kamen Rider, TokuNation, TokuNation Site Updates, TokuNation Spotlights

“Let’s Game, Super Game, Ultra Game, what’s your name?!”

We’re back at long last with another gallery from Kamen Rider Ex-Aid! It’s been a while since we took a hard look at the initial release from Ex-Aid’s toyline, LVUR01 Ex-Aid, and Bandai has gone back to the drawing board to try and offer fans a better alternative to that figure. Have they managed to do so? Find out in our review of Premium Bandai’s release of Full Action Kamen Rider Ex-Aid Level 1!

Full Action Ex-Aid obviously has much more articulation than Bandai’s first outing, as the name would imply. This stumpy little fella manages to pull off poses that plenty of retail gimmick figures can’t. However at full retail, this figure also tops out near $60 USD before shipping. Ex-Aid Level 1 has tons of personality, but quite the lack of accessories as well. Only including the Gashacon Breaker Hammer Mode. Despite the improvements made, it does have it’s drawbacks as well. More of which you can read about in our full review below.

We’ve attached a selection to this post but you can view 50+ images of Full Action Ex-Aid Level 1 by clicking “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post. Later this week we return to the world of Kamen Rider Drive with a brand new gallery!

S.H. Figuarts Gatack Extender Gallery

Posted on April 20, 2017 at 5:14 pm by Den-O under Kamen Rider

Stag Beetle

It’s been a while, but we took a look at S.H. Figuarts Shinkocchou Seihou Kamen Rider Gatack back in December. And after so many years waiting for a good renewal of Gatack, Bandai only made us wait a couple months to get his ride! Today we’ve got a quick gallery & review of the S.H. Figuarts Gatack Extender!

The Gatack Extender, like it’s predecessor the Kabuto Extender, doesn’t actually transform from Masked Form to EX. After Bandai really knocked things like Dragranzer & Auto-Vaijin out of the park I wish they’d tried a bit more with these. But as is the Gatack Extender Masked Form we have here is still a great looking rider machine. One that pairs very well with Kamen Rider Gatack himself. While it may not have all the bells and whistles of many bikes, it does a more than serviceable job as a display piece.

You can view the entire 30+ images of this release after the jump by clicking “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post. And we’ll be back in a couple of days with a brand new gallery from Kamen Rider Ex-Aid!

S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Amazon Alpha (Amazon JP Edition) Gallery

Posted on April 16, 2017 at 1:39 pm by Den-O under Kamen Rider, TokuNation, TokuNation Site Updates, TokuNation Spotlights

“AMAZON.”

We have officially entered the Armor Zone people! This marks our 3rd full gallery from the fantastic Amazon Japan series Kamen Rider Amazons. This week saw confirmation of yet another figure from the show with the Mole Amazon, and Season 2 is well under way with an exciting 2nd episode. So at long last we’re going to take a look at the other sometimes heroic but often savage rider from season 1 with S.H. Figuarts Kamen Amazon Alpha (Amazon JP Edition)!

Amazon Alpha (Jin Takayama) was definitely not what you’d call a traditional hero. By the end of season 1 he resembled more of a villain than anything thanks to his obsession with the Amazons. But that doesn’t detract from his magnificent design, or this figures. This release of Alpha, like the Omega we recently looked at, was an Amazon JP release that included some bonus flame effect parts. But even without those, Alpha is a fearsome figure that brings the character’s savage personality to life in your collection.

We’ve attached a number of images to this post, but you can view 70+ images in our full gallery by clicking “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post. We’ll be switching gears after this and going back to another personal favorite series of mine, with a gallery from Kamen Rider Drive!
