S.H. Figuarts Kabuto Extender Release Details

Posted on November 20, 2015 at 11:22 am by Den-O under Kamen Rider

Recently on display at the Tamashii Nations 2015 fall event, we now have confirmed release details for the S.H. Figuarts Kabuto Extender!

A follow up release for last years’ Shinkochu Seihou Kamen Rider Kabuto, the Kabuto Extender is looking sharp. The original Kamen Rider Kabuto figuart was on the market for a number of years without a bike so it’s nice to see the redo finally getting his ride. No accessories are confirmed at the time of this writing but its like the Kabuto Extender will include at least a wheel base, it will obviously be non-transforming as well.

S.H. Figuarts Kabuto Extender will be released in April 2016 for 5184 yen.

Power Rangers Legacy MMPR Movie Red, Blue, & Pink Power Morphers Revealed

Posted on November 12, 2015 at 9:21 pm by Den-O under Power Rangers

Once again Bandai America is revisiting the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Movie with 3 new Legacy Morphers! Following up from the previously released Movie White Ranger Morpher we’re being treated to the Red, Blue, & Pink Movie Morphers as well!

Our awesome site sponsor BigBadToyStore just made the big reveal by posting pre-orders for this new round of Morphers. First up we have the individual Legacy Red Movie Morpher which is set for a June 2016 release and retails for $54.99. You can pre-order it HERE. The Red Morpher currently looks to include the Tyrannosaurus Coin and a placeholder image of the “tribal” MMPR coin is also attached. Though more than likely we should expect to see the Movie Ape Ninjazord coin included with this one.

Next up we have a unique listing that contains the Red Blue & Pink Movie Morphers in a 3-pack! This set is also scheduled for June 2016 and retails for $179.99. You can pre-order it HERE. Like the Red Morpher the Blue & Pink ones contain their respective Power Coins (Triceratops & Pterodactyl). Again there’s a tribal coin listed but we should be seeing the Wolf & Crane Ninjazords instead.

Be sure to check out BigBadToyStore for all the latest and greatest toku (and beyond) pre-orders!

Chou Mashin Chaser Revealed for Kamen RIder Chaser V-Cinema!

Posted on November 10, 2015 at 11:22 pm by Den-O under Kamen Rider

Even though the Kamen Rider Drive Saga: Kamen Rider Chaser V-Cinema won’t be out until April of next year, we already have a sneak peak at a brand new form debuting in it! Exclusive to the movie is Chou Mashin Chaser! A golden Ultimate Evolution style upgrade for Mashin Chaser accessed via the Rhino Super Viral Core.

This movie’s timeline supposedly puts it somehwere between Surprise Future and episode 41 of the series. So it’s anyone’s guess as to how Chase obtains this new Viral Core and if he shares the experience of this form with any members of the Special Investigations Unit. For now we know that the Angel Roidmude will grant Chase humans emotions and that he’ll encounter the previously thought destroyed Roidmude 051 once again, and we’ll also be getting a surprise cameo by none other than Kamen Rider Accel!

Kamen Rider Drive Saga: Kamen Rider Chaser will be released on DVD & Blu-Ray in April 2016!

Premium Bandai Ranger Key EX Metal Heroes Edition Revealed!

Posted on November 5, 2015 at 6:46 pm by Den-O under Metal Heroes

Premium Bandai has been on a Ranger Key kick this year with announcements of sets like the Sentai Lost Legend & ToQger Rainbow keys. Today brings yet another awesome reveal with the introduction of the Ranger Key EX Metal Heroes Edition Set!

This incredible new set will contain the primary Metal Hero of every series fromg Uchuu Keiji Gavan up through Blue Swat! A premium set of Metal Hero key previously released in conjunction with Super Hero Taisen Z contains the other lead heroes absent from this set. The following are included:

-Gavan
-Sharivan
-Shaider
-Juspion
-Spielban
-Metalder
-Fire
-Solbraver
-Swat Sho
-Gavan Type G

Curiosuly that’s yet another set of Metal Hero keys where Toei has conveniently forgotten the final 2 series of the franchise. B-Robo Kabutack, which shared a crossover with both B-Fightes. And the follow-up to Kabutack, Tetsuwan Tantei Robotack. Perhaps those keys will be released eventually. For now the EX Metal Hero Key set will retail for 13,500 yen and be released in February!

Kagaku Sentai Dynaman BTS Video Featuring Machineman & Sharivan Released!

Posted on November 5, 2015 at 11:55 am by Den-O under General Tokusatsu News, Metal Heroes, Super Sentai

You may recall that in 2013 some incredible behind the scenes footage of Gosei Sentai Dairanger made it’s way online via former Power Rangers stunt coordinator Jeff Pruit. This type of video is quite rare & often not shared with the general public. However one such behind the scenes video has been released today. Posted by youtube user kbigstone is an incredibly rare look behind the scenes of Kagaku Sentai Dynaman!

But that’s not all! This video was of course shot on the Toei studio lot, so multiple series were being filmed at the time. And while there’s no proper video of these other series the below video includes some rare stills from two other Toei productions. Seiun Kamen Machineman & Uchuu Keiji Sharivan! Specifically of the Machine Dolphin & Motosharian set props!

Dynaman, Machineman, & Sharivan just barely overlapped their filming schedules to make it possible to see them all on set at the same time. It’s a truly incredible video to watch. We rarely if ever see such behind the scenes prep as this. Please enjoy this video courtesy of youtube user kbigstone!

S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider 3 Gallery

Posted on November 2, 2015 at 10:28 pm by Den-O under Kamen Rider

 Who’s That Guy?

Why he’s the titular antagonist turned hero of Super Hero Tasien GP, and today we take a look at him in figure form as S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider 3! Rider 3 as a character originated in the 1972 Manga Kamen Rider 3 vs. General Black but his existence was largely forgotten for 40+ years until Taisen GP where the character was tweaked to create the modern version.

And wow is that a modernized suit! In essence Rider 3 looks to have the basic Showa Shin Rider 1/2 design as a base but with a pseudo-S.I.C. aesthetic draped over it. Producing a unique design that hearkens back to the days of the Kamen Rider The First & The Next films. Rider 3 manages to look angular and modern but has all the hallmarks of his Showa brethren allowing him to fit seamlessly into any Showa or Heisei display. With the inclusion of a couple just perfect effect parts you have a nice and tidy package of a figure that’s sure to please.

We’ve assembled over 50 images of S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider 3, though only a handful are attached to this post. To see the entire gallery and read up on our in depth review of the figure, click “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post.
