S.H. Figuarts Winspector Ryoma, Walter, & Bichael at Tamashii Summer Collection

Posted on May 29, 2015 at 10:29 am by Den-O under Metal Heroes

Mayday, mayday, SOS!

Continuing what has become a hot streak of Metal Hero related products from Bandai recently is a trio that’s sure to excite many fans! Revealed today at the Tamashii Nations Summer Collection show is the trio of heroes from Tokkei Winspector! S.H. Figuarts Ryoma, Walter, & Bichael look absolutely magnificent. With this trio Bandai continues to narrow the gap of Metal Heroes they’ve yet to release!

In a bit of awesome coincidence something else related to this trio happened this week you may not have been aware of. A new fansub group, Weeaboo Shogun has arrived on the scene with a magnificent show that has never been subbed before, Tokkei Winspector! They’ve already released the first 2 episodes off the series with links to download on their blog, I very much encourage you to check them out.

This is probably one of the more amazing coincidences that could have happened, and for me personally it’s a double whammy of a dream come true.

Classic Tokusatsu Series Headed to Netflix Brazil!

Posted on May 25, 2015 at 10:09 pm by Den-O under Kamen Rider, Metal Heroes, Super Sentai

In an odd bit of news it appears that a selection of classic Japanese tokusatsu will be headed to Netflix! In Brazil.

According to Jbox[/URL] the following shows will made available with at least subs and possible portugese dubs on Brazillian Netflix courtesy of the Sato Company!

Dengeki Sentai Changeman
Choushinsei Flashman
Kamen Rider Black
National Kid
Kidou Keiji Jiban
Sekai Ninja Sen Jiraiya
Kyojuu Tokusou Juspion

Japanese-Brazilian entrepreneur Nelson Sato, who imported such things as the Cybercop franchise to Brazil in the 1990’s, orchestrated this deal with Toei after his company released the above series on DVD previously (aside from Kamen Rider Black). An exact date for when these shows will be added to instant streaming on Netflix Brazil hasn’t been announced yet but another press release is incoming from Sato Company regarding these series and several others!

S.H. Figuarts Rider 3 Revealed!

Posted on May 21, 2015 at 12:16 am by Den-O under Kamen Rider

A bit shockingly yet another new magazine scan has just revealed the existence of S.H. Figuarts Rider 3!

Rider 3 (or Sango) was recently featured in the Superhero Taisen GP team-up film as an antagonist to this years current rider, Kamen Rider Drive. Based on an easily overloked and short manga by Shotaro Ishinimori not only has Rider 3 cemented his place in the on screen media of the rider franchise, but now he’s also ensured his place in the toyline!

S.H. Figuarts Rider 3 will be an October retail release for 5184 yen!

S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Drive Type Speed & 1st Run Bonus Gallery

Posted on May 20, 2015 at 12:12 am by Den-O under Kamen Rider

Tokunation is in Top Gear today! We’re proud to finally be able to share a full gallery and review of S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Drive Type Speed! As well as the included 1st Run Bonus Max Flare Set!

Kamen Rider Drive Type Speed is our titular heroes basic form, but the figure itself is far from that. While it may appear to have a lite accessory count, only 2 pairs of hands, this figure more than makes up for that with it’s versatility and interchangeability. Not only can the tires be removed to replicate the Tire Koukan gimmick, but so can the read outs on the Drive Driver, the flipped Shift Cars in the brace, and even the Shift Cars on Drive’s holster! The level of thought and engineering that’s gone into this figure is astounding, and the included 1st run Max Flare bonuses more than makes up for any lack of accessories. This figure is hands down worth your purchase.

We have a full gallery, totally over 100 images, after the jump as well as an in depth review detailing the wonderful aspects of S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Drive Type Speed. Just click “discuss on the TokuNation forums” at the bottom of this post to be taken to the complete thread. If you don’t get the point from our review then let me state it simply here, all you need is Drive.

Power Rangers Turbo Quick Draw Action Blue Senturion Gallery

Posted on May 17, 2015 at 1:55 am by Den-O under Power Rangers

Did you notice what today is? It may not seem immediately significant but today is actually the 18th anniversary of the 1st appearance of the Blue Senturion in Power Rangers Turbo! Appearing in the episode “The Millennium Message” at first the Blue Senturion was adversarial to the rangers but went on to fill the role of an extra hero for the team. It’s an oddball anniversary but with the Turbo theatrical movie having celebrated it’s 18th earlier this year, we’ve decided to present a special gallery of the Quick Draw Action Blue Senturion figure to coincide!

The Quick Draw Action Blue Senturion is actually a pretty cool figure. Not only does it feature an interesting gimmick or two in the form of a Quick Draw hand and signal changing, and along with a decent number of accessories for it’s era, it’s one of a very very small number of figures even produced for the Blue Senturion or in fact his Japanese originator Signalman! Neither of these characters has ever really gotten their proper due in collectible figure form but the 6″ Quick Draw figure can fit the bill for either of them!

We’ve assembled a full 40 image gallery of this figure for your viewing after the jump. Trust me, Blue Senturion will be right at home with your 6″ figure collection. While he may have some bulk to him, there’s still a bit of charm there for both Power Rangers and Sentai collectors alike!

Drive Types Tridoron, Next, Special, & Super Dead Heat Teaser

Posted on May 12, 2015 at 12:09 pm by Den-O under Kamen Rider

As more details emerge about Kamen Rider Drive’s final form we inch closer to a full reveal. And today we have our clearest look yet at Kamen Rider Drive Type Tridoron! This is the first time we’ve seen the actual design of the helmet, and I must say it looks very very good. Taking on the characteristics of the Tridoron itself, this form brings Drive’s upgrades and color schemes full circle.

This images is a also bit of a double whammy for news though. Not only does it give us a clear look at Type Tridoron but we also have our first look at the upcoming Shift Next Special Shift Car! A 2-in-1 car, the yellow side allows for Drive Type Special while the black side gives access to Drive Type Next. Type Next would seem to be the form we’ve seen behind the scenes shots of. Both forms are set to appear in this summers’ Kamen Rider Drive Surprise Future movie.

Lastly this scan also confirms an unexpected upgrade, using a device called the Tridoron Key it appears that Kamen Rider Mach will be able to access Super/Chou Dead Heat! This silhouette bears a strong resemblance to Mashin Chaser so time will tell if it’s actually for Mach, or possibly for Kamen Rider Chaser.
