A couple of casting tidbits have been revealed for Legendary Pictures’ upcoming cinematic adventure, Pacific Rim 2!

*First up, singer Cailee Spaeny is confirmed for this film. Pacific Rim 2 will be Spaeny’s first major release.

*Next comes Jing Tian, (also coming soon to Kong: Skull Island and The Great Wall.)

Sadly, character details for these two new cast members are not available at time of writing.

Directed by Steven S. DeKnight and produced by Guiliermo Del Toro, Pacific Rim 2 is currently scheduled for release on February 28. 2018!

Some interesting new information about the upcoming series Power Rangers Ninja Steel has been posted online.

Unfortunately, it seems original Ninja Steel Yellow Ranger actor Chantz Simpson has left the series for undisclosed reasons. The role of Yellow Ranger will now be played by actor Nico Greetham!

We welcome Mr. Greetham to the Power Rangers family & we wish Mr. Simpson best of luck to all future endeavors.

After 2014’s extremely successful Black Blood miniseries, the Silver Fanged Makai Knight is returning to the airwaves once again!

A new teaser for the upcoming Garo sidestory known as ZERO: Dragon Blood was released today, giving fans their first look at this new adventure in the world of the Makai Knights. This new adventure will follow on from the world introduced in Black Blood.

Fan-favorite Rei Fujita returns to the role of Zero, supported by fellow Garo alumni Mary Matsuyama as Makai Priestess Rekka. Garo creator Keita Amemiya will take the directors’ chair for this new project, with veteran Garo storyteller Sumiko Umeda serving as writer.

ZERO: Dragon Blood is currently scheduled to begin in 2017!

The first commercial promo for the upcoming new Rider series, Kamen Rider Ex-Aid aired during Toei’s SuperHeroTime! programming block today in Japan.

In addition to some quick action shots of the new heroes & villains, the promo contains a sample of the Ex-Aid theme song- “EXCITE!” performed by Japanese recording artist Daichi Miura.

After an impressive run in Japanese theaters grossing over 5 billion yen, the latest Godzilla movie is finally gearing up for a release in America!

Premium Bandai has put up a brief teaser image for yet another exclusive Ranger Key set!

Labeled Ranger Key Set 2000th Edition, this release is expected to feature the members of the 40th Super Sentai Series, Dobutsu Sentai Zyuohger! This special set has been produced in honor of Super Sentai reaching a remarkable TWO THOUSAND episodes.

Sadly, no further details about this upcoming Ranger Key set are available at time of writing. A full reveal of the 2000th Edition is currently scheduled for September 12, 2016!

Toei’s annual press conference officially announcing the newest Kamen Rider series was held yesterday in Japan, giving us some exiting new details about the people responsible for the 18th Heisei Rider show- Kamen Rider Ex-Aid!

Particular highlights from this press conference include:

*The name Ex-Aid was coined from “Extreme” and “Aid”. The protagonist is referred to as a Doctor × Gamer who fights against the mysterious game viruses known as the Bugstar. As previously known, there will be various video game genres such as Action, RPG, Shooting, and Racing. Each genre will be represented not only by a Kamen Rider but by various effects that will be featured in fight scene!

*Ex-Aid’s human name is Emu Hojo, played by Hiroki Iijima. Emu is a medical student (studying pediatrics) at Seito University Hospital, which appears to be the central location for this series. In his off-hours, Emu is known simply as “M”- a genius-level gamer.

*Next in the cast is Kamen Rider Brave, aka Hiiro Kagami, a physician at Seito University portrayed by Toshiki Seto. He is normally rude & condescending towards Emu but is willing to fight alongside Ex-Aid to stop the Bugstars.

*Rounding out the Riders is Kamen Rider Snipe, real name Taiga Hanaya (portrayed by Ukyo Matsumoto.) This young man USED to be a doctor, until an unrevealed incident caused his medical license to be revoked.

*Our female lead this time around is named Asuna Karino, played by Ruka Matsuda. She is a nurse working for the Ministry of Health, and also has a mysterious secondary identity known as Poppii Pipopapo.

*Kai Shouma plays the early antagonist, Bugstar leader Palad.

*Working behind-the-scenes for most events is a figure named Kuroto Dan, president of the game-designing Genmu Corporation (played by Iwanaga Tetsuya.)

*Kamen Rider Ex-Aid’s theme song, EXCITE! will be performed by famous Japanese recording artist Daichi Miura.

At last we have some up-close scans of the upcoming Kamen Rider Series, Kamen Rider Ex-Aid!

Among other details revealed by early scans, it seems the underlying secondary theme of this new series is medicine.

*Our hero, Kamen Rider Ex-Aid (human name: Houjou Emu is a medical intern, who encounters a mysterious lifeform known as the Bugsters.
*The next warrior, Kamen Rider Brave (whose true name is Kagami Hiiro becomes a Rider to study this new lifeform.
*Rounding out the early group is Kamen Rider Snipe, (aka Hanaya Taiga) a FORMER doctor who loves videogames and seeks a new challenge.

Working behind-the-scenes on the Riders’ new adventures is the mysterious Genmu Corporation, a game-development company which may have connections to the Bugster attacks.

A new round of magazine scans has hit the Internet, offering us some key insights into the future adventures of Dobutsu Sentai Zyuohger!

This month, the Zyuohger team will meet a new ally named Cetus, the Antique Zyuman Grand King. By granting the use of his Great Champion Cube, Cetus will allow Yamato to access an even greater level of power as the Champion of Champions- Zyuoh Whale! This new form comes equipped with the powerful Whale Charge Gun and unlocks a new Mecha- the mighty Dodekai-Oh!

A few shots are dedicated to the upcoming Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger reunion special, proving that the Gokaigers have obtained NEW Ranger Keys- specifically, every team from Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters to Shuriken Sentai Ninninger!

But the biggest surprise is the return of old Super Sentai VILLAINS for this magnificent crossover. The Dethgaliens will use their special technology to resurrect several old foes- including Shinkengers’ Dokoku, Goseigers’ Brajira, Go-Busters’ Enter & Escape, ToQGer’s Zett and Kyoryugers’ Deboth.

More good news for Metal Hero fans!

Toei has announced a high-definition home media release for the legendary Metal Hero, Space Sheriff Gavan!

Two box sets will be released containing the entire 44-episode series. The first announced special feature is an interview with the Gavan crew- specifically, Kenji Ohba (who portrayed the title character), Osamu Kaneda (the series’ action director) and Jun Murakami, stuntman & suit actor for Gavan.

Volume 1 will be released on January 1, 2017 while Volume 2 is tentatively scheduled for release on March 8, 2017. Each volume is priced at 29000 Yen.
