Power Rangers: The Ultimate Visual History release info

Not so long ago it was announced that Power Rangers would be receiving an “ultimate visual history” treatment in book form, with fans even being called upon to submit anything they considered worthy of inclusion.

Now Amazon have updated their listing for 192-page hardcover Power Rangers: The Ultimate Visual History book, which will be released on November 7th 2017 with an RRP of $50. Also included in the listing is a look at the book’s cover, as well as some sample pages covering over two decades’ worth of Power Ranger history.

Power Rangers Dino Force Brave DX Brave Tyranno King Video Review

As we edge ever closer to the release of Power Rangers Dino Force Brave in South Korea the first Youtube review of its unique mecha has surfaced! 쿠라 KOORA brings us a look at the DX Brave Tyranno King toy (which will be renamed Kyoryuzin Brave in Japan). The mecha is a remould of the previously released DX Kyoryuzin, sporting a new colourscheme alongside new weapons for all three components. The video review also features a look at the toy’s electronics, which may be changed for the Japanese release.

Power Rangers Dino Force Brave will be released in South Korea on 1st April, with the Japanese equivalent Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger Brave following on 14th April!

S.H. Figuarts June Releases – Shinkocchou Seihou Kamen Rider Accel, King Joe

After months of no news fans have been speculating who the next Rider to join the S.H. Figuarts Shinkocchou Seihou line will be, and now the June 2017 Tamashii Nations pickup has confirmed that honour will go to Kamen Rider Accel! The no-nonsense police superintendent from Kamen Rider W will be a mass release for June, with pricing details and full accessory count to follow.

Not mentioned in the pickup but also joining Accel that month is S.H. Figuarts King Joe from Ultraseven! The robot creation of the Alien Pedan is featured on Tamashii Nations’ special Ultraman page, and will be priced 7560 yen.

Loyal Subjects Announce Wave 2 MMPR: The Movie Figures

The Loyal Subjects‘ website has just announced a new range of vinyl figures coming as a Walmart exclusive very soon, and among them is a brand new wave of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie figures! This wave includes the Red, Blue and Yellow Rangers along with their respective Dino Zords, together with the following chase variants:

Sabertooth Tiger Zord (Black and Gold Edition) – 1/48
T-Rex Zord (Black and Gold Edition) – 1/96
Triceratops (Black and Gold Edition) (Club 28)
2 random Prototypes

April 2017 Figuarts Annoucements – Alien Metron, Individual Ex-Aid releases

The latest batch of toy magazine scans have just hit the web and from them we can get a good look at what collectors can look forward to as mass release figures in April 2017. Fans who were put off by the Kamen Rider Ex-Aid Mighty Action X Beginning Set due for release in March can rest easy knowing that Kamen Riders Ex-Aid, Brave and Snipe will all receive individual releases that month! It seems each will include the same unique accessories as they do in the 3-pack, with Ex-Aid and Brave both retailing for 4860 yen and Snipe for a slightly higher 5400 yen.

On the Ultra Series side of things the S.H. Figuarts line continues its dive into the world of Ultraseven with the release of Alien Metron! Fresh from his recent appearance in Ultraman Orb, Metron will be priced 5940 yen and his accessories are currently unknown!

Tamashii Nations 2016: S.H. MonsterArts MechaGodzilla Poster Ver.

The reveals just keep on coming at this year’s Tamashii Nations event! Shown off by the hosts themselves via their @T_Features Twitter page, newly revealed is S.H. MonsterArts MechaGodzilla Poster Ver. This reinterpretation of the Heisei era MechaGodzilla is based on poster artwork for the film Godzilla vs MechaGodzilla II, sporting an alternate body as well as a brand new wing-pack. Also attached to this news post is the poster image for comparison.

An interesting diversion for the S.H. MonsterArts line! Stay tuned to Tokunation for more info on this figure as it comes.

Kraken Releasing Licenses Original GARO Series

This past weekend at Atlanta’s Monsterama convention, Section 23’s Kraken Releasing announced that they will be releasing the original 2005 GARO tokusatsu series in the West in 2017. While the specifics of this release are currently unconfirmed, Kraken also revealed that they are also making plans to release subsequent entries in the franchise as well.

This is pretty fantastic news for tokusatsu fans in the West, as yet another franchise finally makes its way across the pond officially. Will you be adding this release to your collection? Sound off after the jump!

S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider J & JungRaider revealed

With the latest figure magazine scans come some brand new S.H. Figuarts reveals for January 2017, and among them is a Rider fans have been anticipating for a long time. The last of the Showa era Riders, Kamen Rider J will finally be released as a Tamashii Web Exclusive that month, priced 5940 yen. Previously seen at a convention not too long ago, his accessories will include an alternate hand displaying his signature “J” pose, as well as his talking grasshopper friend Berry.

On the mass release side of things, the Kamen Rider Amazons line continues with the release of Kamen Rider Amazon Omega’s bike – the Jungraider! The bike will be priced 5184 yen, and it is currently unknown whether it will include any additional accessories.

Summer Wonderfest 2016 – Manga Ultraman Figures

Now that the Ultraman manga is in full swing on both sides of the pond it’s no surprise that the series is proving popular with figure manufacturers. At this year’s Summer Wonderfest a number of different companies had figures on display, including Sentinel, ThreeZero and of course Bandai Tamashii Nations.

Among the figures seen at the event were:

  • A ThreeZero Ultraman prototype, with masked and unmasked head options
  • Sentinel’s 12′ HERO’s Meister Ultraman (Previously released)
  • 12′ HERO’s Meister Ultraman Special Ver., with a metallic finish and unmasked head

Summer Wonderfest 2016 – Medicom RAH Kamen Rider Amazon Alpha

The S.H. Figuarts version of Kamen Rider Amazon Alpha will be going up for preorder very soon, but for those who want something a little more high end for the Kamen Rider Amazons star Medicom have you covered. Revealed at this year’s Summer Wondefest, the Medicom Real Action Heroes Kamen Rider Amazon Alpha looks to be every bit as detailed as previous entries in the line.

Pricing and release date are yet to be revealed, so stay tuned to Tokunation as more information is announced!
