The original trio of the Talkin Toku Podcast are back together for the first time in a month! Join Kickback (Chris, @rankal), Den-O (Jordan, @DenO_Tokunation), and Sentai Tamashii (Tom, @SoulInkChu)) in their latest adventure of discussing all things tokusatsu! The last time the group was together was before events like NJCC and LexCon, and now that they’re together, they spend some time remembering the conventions. Listen to Tom’s story of how he missed purchasing a holy grail for his collection by a matter of minutes! Find out what Steve Cardenas (Rocky, Mighty Morphin Red Power Ranger #2, Zeo Blue Power Ranger) did to troll Jordan at LexCon!

Gears shift as the crew then discusses the recent developments on Kamen Rider Gaim. What was everyone’s most “OMG” moment when watching the show? What are their thoughts on DJ Sagura? The trainbow is tasted once more as Tom and Jordan discuss the Shadow Line extensively with Ressha Sentai ToQGer and Jordan makes a bold prediction for just who ToQ #6 will end up being! Finally, Chris gushes over the episode “Spirit of the Tiger” from Power Rangers Super Megaforce. But, as with anything Power Rangers related, someone ends up hogging the spotlight as the crew discusses, for the last time in a public format, the entire debacle that was Morphin Madness Round 3.

For those who were caught up heavily in Morphin Madness, this is your chance to get the scoop behind the controversial Twitter campaign with the hash tag #NoMoreTommy from the creator of that movement himself – Jordan. The latest round of ToQGer toy scans is now online!

For starters we now have the first look at Toq6’s main Resshas, a pair of orange vehicles known as the Build Resshas. Their (unrevealed) combined form is known as “Build DaiOh!”

We also get to see the movie-exclusive remold of ToQOh, called “Safari GaOh!”

In addition we see four new Legacy Resshas from previous Super Sentai teams: Gokaiger, Goseiger, Shinkenger and Go-Onger Resshas!

Last but certainly not least we get a quick look at a new weapon for the ToQGers- the “DaiKaiten Cannon,” which fires multiple Resshas by rotating new tracks into attack form. The Daikaiten Cannon will be sold with a special golden repaint of the Red Ressha.

Definitely a lot of good things coming down the tracks from ToQGer!

Here’s a blast out of the past brought to you by our photo guru conundrum! It only seems fitting that with the Mighty Morphin White Power Ranger in the final round of Morphin Madness that we feature this…interesting…figure from the days of Gosei Sentai Dairanger. Behold, the Yutaka Kiba Ranger Role Play set!

For those asking, “What the F is Yutaka?” … Yutaka was a branch of Bandai of Japan formed from the remnants of Shinsei Manufacturing created in 1990 and closed down back in 2003. Their primary focus was cost-affordable role play items for the Super Sentai and Kamen Rider series in Japan. This gallery is of Kiba Ranger from Gosei Sentai Dairanger, or better known to the rest of the world as the Mighty Morphin White Power Ranger.

While not the most eloquent looking figure with very limited articulation (it still might rival ToQOh though…), the sculpting on Byakkoshinken (aka Saba) looks very impressive. Cho Mahou Henshin!

It’s time for the original Legendary Rangers to make a move in this weeks extra sized installment of Let’s watch Wednesdays featuring Mahou Sentai Magiranger! This week we’re watching 4 episodes, 28-31, because next week it’s movie time once again!

The devil’s glacier, Evil Ice, will freeze the world for Infershia! A secret Houka wasn’t meant to know, and her memory will be wiped! And to stop the ice, the Magirangers will seek the help of the saint who gave their mother power, Snowgel! With Snowgel’s blessing their legend will finally be born. A new power has come, Legend Mode! And with the power of Legend Mode an even greater giant than Magi King will awaken, Magi Legend! But what cost will this new power place on our 5 heroes?

Though the two newest releases from Ressha Sentai ToQger have only just hit the market (Car Carrier Ressha & Tank Ressha) the third piece of puzzle is about to fall in place! Pre-orders recently went live at site sponsor BigBadToyStore for the DX Diesel Ressha & DX Diesel Oh 3-Ressha set. And today Bandai of japan released official images of the complete DX Diesel Oh set!

As you know by now, this weeks regular Super Hero Time programming is being replaced by a very special crossover. This hour long special is Kamen Rider Gaim VS Ressha Sentai ToQger! 

Serving as a prelude to the Heisei VS Showa Featuring Super Sentai film, this special will mark only the second time ever that a currently running Rider & Sentai will share a storyline. The first being Kamen Rider Decade & Samurai Sentai Shinkenger. This special is labelled as Episode SP for both series and chronologically should take place between Gaim episodes 26 & 27 and ToQger 6 & 7.

The episode itself airs shortly in Japan and subs will of course be up later in the week from our favorite groups. For now click “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post to be taken to our stickied discussion thread/poll for this special in the News and Rumors section.

Toei has opened an official page for the annual tokusatsu summer movie double bill!

Details are sparse at the moment but the Gaim/ToQGer Roadshow is scheduled for July 19 meaning films should be in theaters by the end of July. This is a step up from previous years (usually the Super Sentai & Kamen Rider films have been released in mid to late August).

While Gaim undoubtedly takes center stage in this round of magazine scans, ToQGer does have one impressive reveal-

This is our first glimpse at their second Mecha, DiseslOh! Formed through a combination of Car Carrier, Tank & Diesel Resshas, the DieselOh is widely believed to be the personal Mecha of ToQ6. Only time will tell for sure; the Diesel Ressha should be introduced in the series shortly before its DX toy release at the end of April.
