Hasbro PulseCon revealed a brand new WalMart exclusive line of Power Rangers figures. This new series is called “Retro Morph Power Rangers”, and features retro styling of brand new auto-morphin figures. These are due out in Spring 2021 and Wave 1 consists of the following figures:
Fans will note the absence of a Green, Yellow, and White Ranger … but Hasbro teased that this is simply wave 1. These are available to order at 5pm EST on WalMart.com.

The Ranger Slayer joins the line as a part of Wave 5, along side the MMPR Blue Ranger, Time Force Red, and Trey of Triforia. Only the 2nd Boom! Studios inspired figure in the line, after Lord Drakkon, Ranger Slayer builds on the imperfect releases of the MMPR Pink & Yellow Rangers to give us our first really great female figure in the line. Armed with her own Blade Blaster, the Bow of Darkness, a triple shot arrow & arrow energy effect part, Ranger Slayer really is one of our favorite releases in the line thus far.

It’s Morphin’ Time once again as Hasbro takes a stab at the classic Dino Megazord from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers! Revealed via leaked listing information yesterday, this officially display prototype of the set gives us our first look at it from New York Toy Fair. Our man on the ground TokuChris was kind enough to snap several photos for us as well as share some first impressions.
The Buildable Dino Megazord is roughly the size of Bandai America’s old 2010/Legacy mold Megazord, Hasbro sought to re-reate the classic play pattern of the Megazord for the original series, this release is intended for kids and will be released in 3 parts, each priced at $14.99. The T-Rex with Sword, the Triceratops with Sabertooth Tiger, and Mastodon with Pterodactyl. Hasbro’s official description of the set reads as follows:
The Mighty Morphin Rangers call upon their powerful Zords to lead the Rangers into battle. The BUILDABLE DINO MEGAZORD Assortment includes the TYRANNOSAURUS REX DINO ZORD figure, TRICERATOPS AND SABERTOOTH TIGER DINO ZORD 2-pack figures and MASTODON AND PTERODACTYL DINO ZORD 2-pack figures. Combine all figures to build the DINO MEGAZORD. To protect the Earth, the Tyrannosaurus Rex Dinozord carries the Mighty Morphin Red Ranger into battle, while the Sabertooth Tiger and Triceratops Dinozords carry the Mighty Morphin Blue and Yellow Rangers into battle and the Mastodon and Pterodactyl Dinozords carry the Mighty Morphin Black and Pink Rangers into battle. Kids can imagine the Rangers blasting into battle and joining their teammates to form the Dino Megazord!

Like any teenager, Kimberly Hart used to be concerned with trivial things. The Pink Ranger is the first new Mighty Morphin ranger mold we’ve gotten in the line so far. Previously we’ve seen 3 outings of the male MMPR body type with Dragon Shield parts and recently even the more basic Red Ranger release. So Pink Ranger really is refreshing to see for a change of pace. With some new design choices and articulation cuts, it’s a bit different affair to the boys, in a good way. Armed with the Blade Blaster, Power Bow, and two different arrows, the Pink Ranger is ready to take out the Putties in your collection!

Last night, we were treated to the reveals of the entire second wave of Power Rangers Lightning Collection figures from Hasbro. It’s become tradition with new products revealed by Hasbro at SDCC, that the following day they are often put on display in their booth. Thankfully that means that Lightning Collection Wave 2 is now on display! After the press photos released last night, we now have some really stellar hi-res images of the physical toys themselves.
This is our first real look at Lightning Collection figures for the Beast Morphers Red & Gold Rangers, Mighty Morphin Pink Ranger, and the Lost Galaxy Magna Defender. On top of wave 2 we also have a fantastic look at the upcoming Lightning Collection White Ranger 1:1 Helmet replica! Hasbro has released the first official images from the second wave of their new action figure series, the Power Rangers Lightning Collection!
The second wave of this series will consist of:
*Mighty Morphin Pink Ranger
*Lost Galaxy Magna Defender
*Beast Morphers Gold Ranger
And rounding out the lineup is the Beast Morphers Red Ranger currently on display at Hasbro’s San Diego Comic-Con booth. Each figure comes with a variety of accessories- including alternate unmorphed heads for Red, Pink and Gold.
All Wave 2 Lightning Collection figures are currently scheduled for release in Fall 2019! Pre-orders will be opening on Hasbro Pulse later this evening.

SDCC had some powerful exclusives for Power Rangers collector’s this year. Exclusives that are now making the rounds at a number of North American conventions such as Fan Expo Canada and New York Comic Con. Today, we’re taking a look at by far the most spectacular of these exclusives with the SOC Soul of Chogokin GX-72B Black Megazord!
The Black Megazord/Daizyujin is an elaborate repaint of the original SOC release, primarily in black, with a plethora of gorgeous gold trim, green accents, and silver chrome. This color scheme is directly inspired by and meant to compliment the Soul of Chogokin Dragonzord/Dragon Caesar, which is a bit of a different take on the black repaint tradition than we usually get for MMPR or Zyuranger. Each of the Zords functions identically to the first release, but they look so spectacular in these new colors. We’ve included a number of comparison shots with the first release, with some fun mix & match possibilities as well.
