Our Power Rangers Monday segment continues! Last week, we shared with you our Top 5 things that were not adapted from Super Sentai and got a lot of great responses. It’s always fun to take a look at the “what if”, as many fans who aren’t dedicated followers of Super Sentai had no idea about Gosei Green or the entire scenario revolving around Shinken Brown. Thanks for your feedback and for enjoying the article!

For this week’s topic, we put up a poll asking you to pick which topic we discussed today – and while the vote was close, the one that edged the others was the Top 5 Must Own Power Rangers Toys! This one was a little more challenging to write up because so many of the toys have Super Sentai counter-parts, leaving us to almost have to focus exclusively on the action figures as opposed to the Megazords. However, we did come up with a list that we feel is pretty awesome.

Before you read in to it – we didn’t include anything from the Legacy collection or from the S.H. Figuarts toy lines. Why? Because everyone knows that you MUST own those items. They are simply masterpiece quality figures and Megazords that every Power Rangers fan should own. That, honestly, left some slim pickings – we didn’t want to focus on the “rare” as we can do that in a future update (we’re looking at you Gold Lost Galaxy Megazord!). The Official Power Morphicon is doing all they can to make your Power Morphicon a Lightspeed Rescue! Announced today, the first original American-created Power Ranger, Rhett Fisher who played Ryan the Titanium Ranger for Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue, will be attending the convention on Friday, August 22nd. The text does state “at this time”, meaning there’s a possibility that he could appear for more than just the first day. Get on social media and show the man some love! He’s not the only one announced today though. Here’s the official run-down:

  • Rhett Fisher (Titanium Ranger, Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue)
  • Robert Hughes (Producer on VR Troopers/Masked Rider/Big Bad Beetleborgs/Beetleborgs Metallix, Mystic Knights of Tir Na Nog, Director on Mighty Morphin Power Rangers/VR Troopers/Mystic Knights of Tir Na Nog)

The original trio of the Talkin Toku Podcast are back together for the first time in a month! Join Kickback (Chris, @rankal), Den-O (Jordan, @DenO_Tokunation), and Sentai Tamashii (Tom, @SoulInkChu)) in their latest adventure of discussing all things tokusatsu! The last time the group was together was before events like NJCC and LexCon, and now that they’re together, they spend some time remembering the conventions. Listen to Tom’s story of how he missed purchasing a holy grail for his collection by a matter of minutes! Find out what Steve Cardenas (Rocky, Mighty Morphin Red Power Ranger #2, Zeo Blue Power Ranger) did to troll Jordan at LexCon!

Gears shift as the crew then discusses the recent developments on Kamen Rider Gaim. What was everyone’s most “OMG” moment when watching the show? What are their thoughts on DJ Sagura? The trainbow is tasted once more as Tom and Jordan discuss the Shadow Line extensively with Ressha Sentai ToQGer and Jordan makes a bold prediction for just who ToQ #6 will end up being! Finally, Chris gushes over the episode “Spirit of the Tiger” from Power Rangers Super Megaforce. But, as with anything Power Rangers related, someone ends up hogging the spotlight as the crew discusses, for the last time in a public format, the entire debacle that was Morphin Madness Round 3.

For those who were caught up heavily in Morphin Madness, this is your chance to get the scoop behind the controversial Twitter campaign with the hash tag #NoMoreTommy from the creator of that movement himself – Jordan. It’s been a long and arduous fight from start to finish, but Saban Brands and Bandai of America’s Morphin Madness has come to an end! Despite a few hurdles along the way, the final 5 rangers as voted on by the fans have been revealed. The 5 winning rangers, who will be made into a limited edition Ranger Key Set for 5 lucky individuals to receive are:

  • Power Rangers Turbo Phantom Ranger
  • Mighty Morphin Power Rangers White Ranger
  • Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Red Ranger
  • Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue Titanium Ranger
  • Power Rangers Time Force Pink Ranger

Congratulations to these 5 Legendary Rangers and the actors who played each of them for making it to the final round! Bandai has yet to announce the 5 winning fans who will receive the limited Morphin Madness Ranger Key Set along with the 24K Gold Plated Legendary Morpher, but keep checking their website for updates!

Time for one last Titanium Powered gallery from TokuNation!

One last reminder, everyone’s favorite Power Rangers are fighting it out in Saban’s Morphin Madness competition! And the one and only Titanium Ranger is still going strong in the final round!  If he wins, he along with 4 other winning rangers will become part of a special edition Ranger Key Set! Before you take a look at this gallery in honor of Titanium Ranger, be sure to head over to Morphin Madness and cast a vote for him!

Today we take a look at something truly unique, much like Titanium Ranger himself. It’s the Titanium Crawler! This deluxe zord type vehicle is from the Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue toyline, though it has no in show counterpart. It’s based around the same design as the Lightspeed Red Mobile Armor but with it’s own crawler vehicle mode. Designed by PLEX this vehicle was considered heavily for an actual appearance in show. But due to the budget of Lightspeed being strained by the other original already introduced (Trans-Armor Cycle, Mobile Armor, Titanium Ranger, etc) it’s appearance was thrown out,  it exists only in toy form.

History’s greatest Power Rangers continue to fight it out in round 3 of Morphin Madness![/URL] The ultimate tournament to decide which 5 Legendary Rangers will be made into a limited edition Ranger Key set by Bandai of America! But the message of Morphin Madness, what it’s really all about, appears to have been lost thanks to some unfortunate poking from two sides of the fandom.

At the end of the day this competition is for fun. It’s ultimate goal however is still the production of 5 Ranger Keys. As we know BOA will only be producing about 70 keys out of 100+ rangers they have to work with. This competition will allow fans to pick 5 rangers to be made into a special limited edition Ranger Key set. Keys that simply wouldn’t exist without fan support in an event like this. The competition has been fierce and heated, but fans have stuck with it to vote for their favorite rangers and the ones they find most in need of the Ranger Key treatment. Today TokuNation would like to take a moment to honor 5 of Round 3’s rangers in a little segment we’re calling Power Playback!

Power Playback is a community viewing event that consists of 1 episode each, from 5 different classic Power Rangers seasons! Designed to give people a chance to experience some of these rangers for the first time or relive them all over again, Power Playback also gets your foot in the door on 5 classic Power Rangers series; Zeo, Mystic Force, Turbo, Lightspeed Rescue, & In Space! Each of these episodes is the 1st appearance of a Legendary Power Ranger featured in the current round of Morphin Madness!

Today we want to take a look at something just as unique and original as Titanium Ranger himself, and that’s his personal weapon; the Titanium Laser! This deluxe scale weapon is a child sized version of the one used by Ryan Mitchell in Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue. And it actually replicates both the Laser (blaster)  & Resuce (axe) modes pretty darn accurately.
