Tamashii Nations Day 2 Reveals: Kamen Rider Build Steals The Show

Posted on October 26, 2018 at 3:32 pm by Den-O under Conventions, Kamen Rider, Other Conventions

“Best Match!”

Tamashii Nations day 2 has gotten off to a pretty wild start for Kamen Rider Build fans! A number of new reveals that were under photo bans have finally been revealed:

S.H. Figuarts:
Kamen Rider Evol Cobra Form
The Hokuto Three Crows (Aoba, Kiba, Akiba)
Kamen Rider Grease (With Crows Dog Tags)
Kamen Rider Build Rabbit/Rabbit Form
Kamen Rider Build Tank/Tank Form
Kamen Rider Build Rabbit/Dragon Form

Rabbit/Dragon, the final form debuting in the final episode of the series, has yet to be seen in a properly clear photo, as it’s still under the photo ban. The Hokuto Three are listed as S.H. Figuarts on their placard, however they do appear to be non-articulated Figuarts Zero’s based on the prototypes shown. They’re definitely quite an interesting release if they make it out to retail eventually.  As is we have no confirmed release info for any of these figures.

As more information and images become available we’ll be sure to update you in the ongoing Tamashii Nations 2018 discussion thread. Just click “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” below to catch up on the discussion. Images for this story come from AmiamiNews, and Tokullector.

S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Grease Gallery

Posted on October 24, 2018 at 11:27 am by Den-O under Kamen Rider

“Robot in Grease!”

Kazumi Sawatari, was a humble farmer once, but the war to save or conquer Japan would pit him against heroic Kamen Riders, evil industrialists, scheming politicians, and even extraterrestrial monsters. Driver in hand, Kazumi sacrificed everything to be a hero and stand up for those he lost, and those he loved. S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Grease recreates the character we know and love, and today we have a full gallery and review of it!

Kamen Rider Grease manages to be yet another really wonderful addition to the Build line-up. It may have a lot to do with just how memorable all of the characters from the series are, but each of their figures feel like such a refresher. Each with it’s own unique charm to it. Grease’s gorgeous gold color scheme and translucent black parts combined with the Sclash Driver & Twin Breaker add up to a pretty much perfect release.

The full gallery is attached to this post, but if you’d like to read the full length review as well, just click “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post. We’ll be back soon with more Build and several Ex-Aid galleries!

Posted on October 20, 2018 at 10:59 am by Den-O under Kamen Rider

Kamen Rider Zi-O: Another W and Den-O, Futaros Imagin, Revealed

Posted on October 20, 2018 at 10:36 am by Den-O under Kamen Rider

Kamen Rider Zi-O’s first big feature film is headed to theaters December 22nd with Heisei Generations Forever. The third, and supposedly final installment in the Generations trilogy. While Zi-O’s TV series has already featured a number of Another Riders and a handful of proper Rider cameos, we now know that Heisei Generations Forever will feature the debut of 3 more such creatures.

According to Cinema Today JP, we now know that Another W, Another Den-O, and a brand new Imagin linked to Another Den-O, Futaros Imagin, will all make their debut in this film. Roughly speaking it would seem the implied meaning of the Futaros’ name is negative or minus, so this character makes sense to be the contract Imagin of Another Den-O (too bad Negataros was already taken!). But time will tell if this character is or is not, another foil for our heroes.  Both Another W & Den-O are sporting some truly wicked designs as previous Another Riders have.

Heisei Generations Forever hits Japanese theaters on December 22nd. Join our ongoing Zi-O News & Rumors discussion by clicking “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post.

Heisei Riders Rising Project Figure Oh Teaser Cover, could it be….?

Posted on October 17, 2018 at 6:28 am by Den-O under Kamen Rider

The next issue of Figure Oh has just been teased with a censored cover. With the cover feature being the next S.H. Figuarts reveal for the Heisei Riders Rising Project.

While we’ve been let down many times before, the timing, secrecy, the unseen 20th Rider Kicks ride watch stage that was teased, the massive build up of anticipation, and frankly what is clearly the moon on the background of this cover, would imply that this could very well be the long awaited Kamen Rider Kiva.

There has been no confirmation of this figure’s identity yet, and this is purely speculation based. Your guess will be as good as ours, but our money is on Kiva. Confirmation one way or the other will be made officially on 10/24, when this cover is finally revealed in full.

Let us know what you think it might be, in the thread linked below. Just click “Discuss in the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post.

S.H. Figuarts Shinkocchou Seihou Kamen Rider Amazon Gallery

Posted on October 13, 2018 at 4:46 pm by Den-O under Kamen Rider, TokuNation, TokuNation Site Updates, TokuNation Spotlights

“A-MA-ZOOOOOONNNNNNNNNN!”

7 years ago, the original S.H. Figuarts Amazon was released, we reviewed it in 2016. Looking back now, that Amazon is an extremely dated figure. Even though for it’s time it was a fantastic addition to any collection, today Bandai spoils us with so much more. Just released this month is the long awaited modern update for Amazon, S.H. Figuarts Shinkocchou Seihou Kamen Rider Amazon!

The Shinkocchou Seihou subline has thus far been excellent, there’s no way to diminish how truly wonderful it’s been. But Amazon really ratchets things up. This is by far my favorite release in the line thus far, and one that really goes the distance to recreating the suit and character to near perfect detail. An excellent looking figure at the very least, Amazon also has a wealth of articulation that the original figuart lacked. While it may lack something in the accessories department, there’s no doubt that this is the definitive figure of Kamen Rider Amazon!

You can enjoy 70+ images of Shinkocchou Seihou Amazon after the jump by clicking “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post. Coming up soon, a fresh batch of galleries from Ex-Aid, Build, Amazons, and W!

SDCC Exclusive Soul Of Chogokin SOC GX-72B Black Megazord Gallery

Posted on October 2, 2018 at 10:40 am by Den-O under Power Rangers, Super Sentai, TokuNation, TokuNation Site Updates, TokuNation Spotlights

“We need Megazord power, NOW!”

SDCC had some powerful exclusives for Power Rangers collector’s this year. Exclusives that are now making the rounds at a number of North American conventions such as Fan Expo Canada and New York Comic Con. Today, we’re taking a look at by far the most spectacular of these exclusives with the SOC Soul of Chogokin GX-72B Black Megazord!

The Black Megazord/Daizyujin is an elaborate repaint of the original SOC release, primarily in black, with a plethora of gorgeous gold trim, green accents, and silver chrome. This color scheme is directly inspired by and meant to compliment the Soul of Chogokin Dragonzord/Dragon Caesar, which is a bit of a different take on the black repaint tradition than we usually get for MMPR or Zyuranger. Each of the Zords functions identically to the first release, but they look so spectacular in these new colors. We’ve included a number of comparison shots with the first release, with some fun mix & match possibilities as well.

Attached are 120 images of this gorgeous set. You can also read up on our full review of SOC Black Megazord in the full gallery thread by clicking “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post. And don’t worry if you’ve missed one of it’s various con releases either, it’s being made available through the Tamashii Web Shop in Japan next year as well.
