S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Vulcan Shooting Wolf Gallery

Posted on July 5, 2020 at 5:17 pm by Den-O under Kamen Rider, TokuNation, TokuNation Site Updates, TokuNation Spotlights

“The elevation increases as the bullet is fired.”

For as long as Fuwa Isamu could remember, his past was ruined by the berserk Humagears of Daybreak Town. Holding a grudge against them all because of this, Fuwa dedicated himself to their total destruction as a member of A.I.M.S. However, this was all a plot by president Gai Amatsu of ZAIA, to drive Fuwa to hate Humagears even more as he became a Kamen Rider. But with the knowledge of his true past revealed, and both he and Naki free of ZAIA’s control, Fuwa is ready to continue fighting free of the anger that drove him. Instead Fuwa will help defend Humagears with Aruto Hiden & Izu. He will realize his own dream, to truly be Kamen Rider Vulcan!

S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Vulcan is the second release in the Zero-One subline and so far these releases are shaping up very very nicely. Like Zero-One, Vulcan is an articulation dream, capable of striking poses in natural and appropriately exaggerated fashion. While he doesn’t have the same kind of fun black light gimmick as Aruto, Fuwa makes up for that with a wealth of accessories. Like his waist mounted (and functional!) Shot Riser, the 4 sets of hands, his own Attache Shotgun, and the Attache Calibur for Zero-One! This is an incredibly well rounded release.

We’ve assembled 50+ images for our gallery of S.H Figuarts Kamen Rider Vulcan Shooting Wolf and you can see them all in the full gallery thread linked below. Just click “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post. Next time, we’ll be back with a brand new gallery from the world of the Makai Knights & Garo with Dark Knight Kiba!

Posted on June 22, 2020 at 6:37 pm by Den-O under Kamen Rider, TokuNation, TokuNation Site Updates, TokuNation Spotlights

“The steel blue warrior! Tank Tank!”

In his berserker Hazard Form, Sento Kiryu can gain the upper hand in any fight. To contain this uncontrollable power, Sento develops a new Full Bottle to channel his strength and his consciousness. With the Full Full Rabbit Tank Bottle, two new divergent forms are born! One with all the speed and agility of a rabbit, the crimson speedy jumper Kamen Rider Build Rabbit Rabbit Form! The other, bearing the firepower of it’s own military force and the strength to wield it, the steel blue warrior, Kamen Rider Build Tank Tank Form! Representing his home Seito in the 3-round battle, Build tests his new powers against the dangerous Kamen Rider Rogue….

Joining an ever growing family of riders, villains, and alternate forms, Kamen Rider Build Tank Tank Form will fight for love and peace as the beefy power house of your Build collection. A retool of the fantastic Rabbit Rabbit Form, Tank Tank utilizes what has been an excellent base figuart mold throughout the series, but also adds some extra flavor to the mix with the inclusion of the massive Full Full Match Break Tank Mode parts! S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Zero-One Rising Hopper Gallery

Posted on June 15, 2020 at 9:44 pm by Den-O under Kamen Rider, TokuNation, TokuNation Site Updates, TokuNation Spotlights

“There’s only one thing that can stop you, and that’s me!”

In a world where the life of the average human has been made easier by robotic helpers called Humagears, Hiden Intelligence is at the forefront of technological advancement. But with the passing of their founder, Korenosuke Hiden, the duties & responsibilities of president have passed on to his grandson, Aruto. Authorized to use the Progrise Keys & Zero-One Driver, this young man will fight to build a world where Humans & Humagers can coexist and smile together, as Kamen Rider Zero-One!

The Reiwa Era has begun with the first fantastic release from Kamen Rider Zero-One! I must say that Rising Hopper is an excellent design that’s translated to figure form rather perfectly. Exuding personality and functionality, Zero-One really has knocked it out of the park with it’s first release. While this figure isn’t armed with much aside from additional hands (his weapons comes with Vulcan) it’s undeniable how stylish and realistic this figure looks in person. And of course there’s that added bonus of black light reactive parts to drool over!

We’ve assembled 60+ images of S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Zero-One Rising Hopper for your viewing pleasure. You can view the entire gallery and read through our full review by clicking “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post. Next time we have the formula for another great gallery with Build Tank Tank Form!

Power Rangers Lightning Collection Mighty Morphin Yellow Ranger Gallery

Posted on May 28, 2020 at 9:18 pm by Den-O under Power Rangers, TokuNation, TokuNation Site Updates, TokuNation Spotlights

“We’re the Power Rangers!”

When 5 teenagers with attitude were chosen to defend the Earth, each of them was given access to a universe of power. Transported to the Command Center, and introduced to the quirky robot Alpha 5 & the inter-dimensional being Zordon of Eltar, these young heroes were bestowed with the strength of the ancient dinosaurs. Fearless and agile, Trini Kwan was honored with the powers of the mighty Saber-Toothed Tiger Dino Zord! Power Daggers in hand, Trini joined her teammates as they battled the likes of Goldar, Scorpina, and the evil sorceress Rita Repulsa!

Hasbro continues checking off the list of the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers with another Lightning Collection release! The Mighty Morphin Yellow Ranger joins a slew of her teammates in various forms rounding out Wave 4 of the series as well. Joining the likes of Zeo Ranger III Blue, the Cyber Villain Blaze, & the SPD Red Ranger. So how does Trini Kwan stack up to the rest of the original team? Well she includes the now standard unmasked head, doubles up on effect parts, has both her Power Daggers, and a Blade Blaster! Read on, to our full thread for an in-depth review of this figure.

Click “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post to view the full 50+ image gallery and read through our full review. Now that Wave 4 is out of the way and we’re still on the hunt for Wave 5, we’re taking a turn back into Kamen Rider with a run of galleries from Build, Zi-O, & Zero-One!

“Black Hole! Black Hole! Black Hole!”

Evol’s strongest form finally arrives  with an S.H. Figuarts release! Originally teased quite some time ago, Evol Black Hole will be a perfect compliment to the recently released Evol Phase 1.2.3 set, which we reviewed back in March. Now that this alien menace will finally be complete thanks to the powers of the Evol Trigger, you can add him to your collection for 7700 yen in November 2020. Power Rangers Lightning Collection Zeo Ranger III Blue Gallery

Posted on May 19, 2020 at 2:34 pm by Den-O under Power Rangers, TokuNation, TokuNation Site Updates, TokuNation Spotlights

“Zeo Ranger Three – Blue!”

Rocky DeSantos was a Power Ranger. And not just any ranger, but the Mighty Morphin Red Ranger! Inheriting a legacy of power from Jason Lee Scott, Rocky helped defend Angel Grove and the world from the likes of Lord Zedd & Rita Repulsa. But as the Machine Empire descended toward Earth, the Command Center lay in ruins. And the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, were destroyed. But unknown to our heroes, Alpha 5 & Zordon have spent years preparing for this time. A day when the Power Rangers as we know them, are gone forever, and a new fighting force must take their place. The Power Rangers Zeo! Imbued with the energy of the Blue Zeo Crystal, Rocky once again heeds the call to defend Earth, but this time as Zeo Ranger III, BLUE!

The Blue Zeo Ranger is the 2nd Power Rangers Zeo entry in Hasbro’s Lightning Collection lineup, soon to be following by a second outing of the Gold Ranger as Trey of Triforia. Rocky utilizes the same base mold as the Gold Ranger save for some accent changes. A solidly built figure, the Blue Ranger release also includes the Zeo Laser Pistol, the Zeo Power Pod Sword, an effect part for it, 2 extra hands, and an unmasked Rocky head. All in all a pretty great release, though it does have a few design caveats to dive into.

You can read our complete review and view the entire gallery of 40 images of the Lightning Collection Blue Zeo Ranger after the jump by clicking “Discuss on the TokuNaiton Forums” at the bottom of this post. We’ll be back shortly with a Mighty Morphin gallery of the Lightning Collection Yellow Ranger as well!

Ganbareiwa!! Robocon 2020 Film, Trademark Information

Posted on May 18, 2020 at 1:47 pm by Den-O under General Tokusatsu News, Metal Heroes

Back on April 1st, the tokusatsu world was pretty stunned by the announcement that Toei was reviving a character that hadn’t been seen in nearly 20 years. Robocon! The star of two previous TV series Ganabare!! Robocon & Moero!! Robocon, is returning for a brand new film adventure titled Ganbareiwa!! Robocon.

Met with some healthy skepticism that the project could actually be real, it was confirmed fully only a few days later. But today, further information of what to expect from this project has come courtesy of an official trademark from April 21st for the film (via @Trademark_bot), which includes its use in branding for a variety of merchandise including toys, dolls, & games etc.

There’s absolutely no question that this film be released on July 31st, and now we know it’s bringing along with it a resurgence of Robocon merchandise. Let the speculation of just what this odd entry in the Robocon franchise could be about, begin! Could this be another generational meeting of the various Robocon? Or a true reboot entirely? Time will tell, and we’ll be sure to tell you as more information surfaces.
