After a long hiatus, Let’s Watch Wednesdays Power Rangers In Space Returns

Posted on February 18, 2015 at 9:23 pm by Den-O under Power Rangers, TokuNation, TokuNation Spotlights

Our apologies for the interrupted viewing schedule folks. As Kickback let you know recently my wife and I welcomed a little addition into our family! For that reason we had to take a break with our regular Let’s Watch Wednesdays segment last week. However we are back and ready to get psychotic!

A Psycho Ranger has fallen. What kind of fall out will that leave for Power Rangers In Space on Let’s Watch Wednesdays? Let’s See!Dark Specter’s in trouble, another force is draining all his powers. I wonder if Astronema knows anything about that?

And with Psycho Pink down the rangers have the advantage. Defeat a Psycho with an opposite color! But how many Psycho’s are there really? There should only be 4 left, but who calls himself Psycho Silver? Another Psycho Ranger will transform into a monster and be defeated, but which one this week? To catch the Power Rangers off guard the remaining Psychos will have to get creative. But how far can human disguises go?

The previously seen Black & Gold Megazord was just revealed this past weekend at New York Toy Fair so we knew what to expect there, and thanks to Raz’s descriptions of the Dino Charge Multi-Packs we have some insight into those as well. Likewise it’s fairly obvious that the Megaforce Dragon Sword & Samurai Mega Blade appear to be some sort of special reissues of these toys from their individual lines.

However today brings confirmation on what exactly the Legacy Mighty Morphin Vehicle sets are. They have indeed been confirmed to be reissues of the Zord Vehicle Rangers from the Mighty Morphin 2010 relaunch toy line. Based on the actual images Raz himself has seen and what these previous releases looked like we can now confirm the Legacy Vehicles will indeed be rehashes of these items. No confirmation on paint, or plastic vs diecast differences of any kind yet.

Stay tuned as more information becomes available!

Juukou B-Fighter S.H. Figuarts Blue Beet Gallery

Posted on February 16, 2015 at 9:35 pm by Den-O under General Tokusatsu News, Metal Heroes

Juukou!

We’re back! Did you miss us? After our New York Toy Fair coverage we thought it was time to give the citizens of TokuNation a treat. Today we’re taking a look at a brand new Tamashii Web Exclusive release familiar to both Western & Japanese tokusatsu fans alike. S.H. Figuarts Blue Beet from Juukou B-Fighter! And 90’s Saban Era fans will undoubtedly recognize this figure as the Blue Stinger Beetleborg from Big Bad Beetleborgs!

Blue Beet is one of the more intricately detailed Figuarts you’ll own for sure. An incredible representation of an elaborate suit, Blue beet really captures the presence of his on screen counterpart. Some articulation issues not withstanding, this figure nails the look. Not to mention a bevy of really well done accessories too. Blue Beet comes with the standard side arm of the B-Fighters the Input Magnum,  3 sets of extra hands, as well as his signature Stinger Blade. Of course it also includes parts necessary to transform it into the Stinger Drill too!

Honestly S.H. Figuarts Blue Beet is a fantastic figure. While I’m not impressed with the articulation given to him it’s certainly one of the better looking figuarts I own. I’m even more excited for the upcoming G-Stag, Reddle, & Black Beet than I was before. If you want to be as well then I suggest checking out our complete 80 image gallery of Blue Beet by clicking “Discuss on the TokuNation forums” at the bottom of this post!

Kamen Rider 4 Revealed!

Posted on February 13, 2015 at 6:10 pm by Den-O under Kamen Rider

In a surprise turn of events Toei has just officially revealed the existence of yet another previously unknown Kamen Rider! The appropriately named Kamen Rider 4 (Yongo) takes a few cues from another recent addition, Kamen Rider 3, but is a primarily pilot themed rider wearing a military inspired suit. He even pilots a plane called the Sky Cyclone!

This character will be exclusive to a 3-part special video offered on the Japanese Dvideo service on March 28th. According to the description Kamen Rider 4 is created by Shocker in some sort of alternate timeline while Kamen Riders Drive, Zeronos, & Faiz fight to correct history! It seems as though the events of this 3-part special would be related to Super Hero Taisen GP based on the inclusion of these riders as well.

S.H. Figuarts Hakaider Squad Teased

Posted on February 13, 2015 at 10:52 am by Den-O under General Tokusatsu News

1972’s classic tokusatsu franchise Kikaider has been getting a lot of love lately, and it looks like it’s potentially getting 3 more doses of it soon! With S.H. Figuarts Kikaider 01 & Gil Hakaider about to be released is it’s no surprise that Bandai has chosen today to tease the release of the S.H. Figuarts Hakaider Squad!

The Hakaider Squad from Kikaider 01 is composed of 3 similar Hakaider model cyborgs, each with a different color designation; Red Blue & Silver. Created from the remains of other DARK scientists these 3 in addition to Gil Hakaider formed the Squad. In the 01 TV series each had their own unique monster form, as well as the ability to combine into one gigantic cyborg known as Gattaider.

With possibly 3 more Hakaider’s coming from Bandai (a 3-pack perhaps?) we wonder what next era in the Kikaider franchise Bandai will spotlight. We’ll keep you informed as more updates become available!
