S.H. Figuarts Antlar Revealed

Posted on April 17, 2018 at 4:07 pm by ZeoRangerV under Ultraman

Even though the line has since moved on to both Ultraseven and The Return of Ultraman, Tamashii Nations continue to show their love to the original 1966 Ultraman series with the reveal of S.H. Figuarts Antlar! First appearing in episode 06 of the series, this insectoid monster terrorised the ancient civilisation of Baraji. Ultraman was able to put a stop to its rampages, thanks to the Stone of Baraji – an artefact left to them by Ultraman Noa many years ago.

S.H. Figuarts Antlar is a Tamashii web exclusive due for release September, priced at 7560 yen. It will come packaged with a burrow hole effect part that the top half of the figure can be connected to.

Will Antlar be joining your kaiju collection? Check out the images and let us know after the jump!

More YU-DO Lupinranger vs Patranger Images, Poderman Revealed

Posted on April 13, 2018 at 9:26 am by ZeoRangerV under Super Sentai

With the release of the YU-DO Kaitou Sentai Lupinranger vs Keisatsu Sentai Patranger candy toy figures due at the end of this month, the Bandai Candy Toy blog has featured a new post taking a closer looking at the six figures along with their packaging and accessories. It also gives buyers a closer look at what the figures will look like without any of the stickers applied, so if you’re a fan of painting them this is your opportunity to see just how much work it’ll be!

However as with most of the blog’s posts the images end with a sneak peak of what else the line has in store – a YU-DO Poderman! The Gangler mook figure is still very much in the prototype stage but is looking great so far, and a positive sign that the line will continue on into at least a second wave.

Could more Ganglers be on the way too? Check out the full selection of images after the jump and let us know your thoughts!

Ultimate Article Kikaider Official Images

Posted on March 22, 2018 at 2:42 pm by ZeoRangerV under General Tokusatsu News

3, 2, 1! Switch On!

Celebrating creator Shotaro Ishinomori’s 80th anniversary, Premium Bandai have revealed what is perhaps the definitive Kikaider statue – Ultimate Article Kikaider!

Standing roughly 40cm high, this static figure is a highly detailed replica of the suit seen on the original 1972 show – complete with intricate detail on Kikaider’s exposed mechanics as well as perfectly capturing his iconic red and blue colourscheme. The statue also features light-up brain and eyes, as well as alternate arm parts to display Kikaider in signature “Denji End” finishing move pose.

Unfortunately this statue isn’t for the faint of heart, releasing in July for a whopping 27,000 yen. Though a Premium Bandai exclusive release, the figure is also curiously being released exclusively through Amiami – with preorders on both sites opening tomorrow.

Is your wallet deep enough for this to join your tokusatsu collection? Either way, be sure to check out the full image gallery of this incredible figure after the jump!

S.H. Figuarts Pandon Official Images

Posted on March 22, 2018 at 3:36 am by ZeoRangerV under Ultraman

Hailing from Ultraseven‘s 2-part finale “The Greatest Invasion in History” comes the two-headed kaiju Pandon, vanguard of the Alien Ghos! After initially giving a severely weakened Ultraseven trouble in their first battle, the giant was able to slice off the monster’s arm and leg causing it to retreat. When it returned, the Ghos had augmented it into Reconstructed Pandon, which Ultraseven was eventually able to defeat before flying off to return to Nebula M78.

S.H. Figuarts Pandon comes packaged with a replacement mechanical left arm and right leg, alternate decapitated head and Eye Slugger part. The figure is a Tamashii web exclusive release due to arrive in August 2018, priced 8100 yen. Preorders will open tomorrow.

Will Pandon be joining your S.H. Figuarts collection? Check out the full selection of images and let us know after the jump!

Tamashii Akiba Showroom: S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Grease, Cronus, Genm Level Billion

Posted on March 10, 2018 at 4:43 am by ZeoRangerV under Kamen Rider

Tamashii Nations’ Akiba Showroom recently updated it’s displays, and among them is a brand new figure as well as a few returning faces from previous events!

First up is the first appearance of S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Grease, who like his fellow Sclash Driver user Cross-X charge utilises translucent plastic parts on the face and chest. There is no release date information for the Kamen Rider Build character as of yet, however at the time of writing it is being reported as a Tamashii web exclusive.

Next up are two more figures from Kamen Rider Ex-Aid – Kamen Rider Cronus and Kamen Rider Genm God Maximum Gamer Level 1000000000. These figures have been seen at previous Tamashii events, and although Genm is a repaint of the (currently unreleased) Kamen Rider Ex-Aid Maximum Gamer Level 99 figure it’s reappearance here has been well-timed with the release of the Kamen Rider Ex-Aid: Another Ending V-Cinema trilogy in which it debuts. Again, neither of these figures currently have release dates but Cronus is being reported as a web exclusive.

Check out the full-sized images after the jump and we’ll bring you more information on these figures as it comes!

S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Cross-Z Charge Revealed

Posted on February 21, 2018 at 1:54 pm by ZeoRangerV under Kamen Rider

Also among the latest batch of Figure Oh magazine scans is the newly revealed S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Cross-Z Charge! While there still isn’t 100% confirmation whether this figure will be a general retail release or a Tamashii web exclusive, the absence of the webshop logo on the scans seems to point towards it being a retail release.

What do know however is that Ryuga Banjou’s second form will be released in July 2018, for the price of 5940 yen. The scans also confirm that it will include the Twin Breaker weapon.

Check out the full-sized scan after the jump and let us know whether you’re planning to pick this figure up! We’ll bring you more information as it comes.

Wonderfest 2018 – More Evolution Toys HAF Reveals

Posted on February 18, 2018 at 6:09 am by ZeoRangerV under Conventions, General Tokusatsu News

In addition to the previously reported Denkou Choujin Gridman figures revealed at Wonderfest 2018, Evolution Toys also brought along a number of other classic tokusatsu heroes as part of their Hero Action Figure series line.

First up for release in May is Fake Janborg A (also known as Imitation Jumborg Ace), who appeared in episode 29 of the 1973 Tsuburaya Series Jumborg Ace. Following on from that in June will be Janborg 9 (aka Jumborg 9), the second fighting robo to appear in the series.

Next up in July comes Spectreman (star of the 1971 series from P Productions), followed by Silver Kamen Giant (from 1971 series Silver Kamen) and Mirrorman (star of the 1971 series by Tsuburaya) in August. Fans may recognise an updated version of Mirrorman as part of Mirror Knight, a member of Ultraman Zero’s Ultimate Force Zero in the film Ultraman Zero: The Revenge of Belial. Meanwhile Silver Kamen also received something of a renaissance last year, appearing alongside fellow classic tokusatsu hero Red Baron in the movie Brave Storm.

Rounding off Evolution Toy’s display was an unpainted prototype of Triplefighter, another series from Tsuburaya that first aired in 1972. Triplefighter is set to be released in September.

Each of these figures will retail for 8,800 yen each. Check out the full selection of images after the jump and join in on our Wonderfest 2018 discussion thread!

Posted on February 15, 2018 at 2:48 pm by ZeoRangerV under Godzilla

2016’s Shin Godzilla brought the King of Monsters back in glorious fashion, and now Bandai Tamashii Nations have revealed a brand new variant of the film’s Godzilla design in figure form! S.H. MonsterArts Shin Godzilla 4th Form Freeze Ver. is based upon the monster’s “defeat” at the end of the movie, where Godzilla is successfully frozen by Japan’s plan to inject gallons of coagulant into its mouth.

Though a primarily a repaint of the original Shin Godzilla, Freeze Ver features a brand new, highly detailed tail piece including the humanoid Godzilla creatures emerging from it in the film’s final scenes. The figure is Tamashii web exclusive release and includes no additional accessories, retailing for 14,040 yen and releasing in July 2018.
