With San Diego Comic Con 2015 right around the corner, tons of information is beginning to flow regarding all the various exclusives and future toy announcements. This one totally slipped under the radar – unless you’re a fan of The Loyal Subjects and their vinyl figures that they’ve been pumping out! This here is our first look at an upcoming ToyTokyo.com exclusive – a translucent Mighty Morphin Green Ranger vinyl figure from The Loyal Subjects!

Whether this is an exclusive at San Diego Comic Con 2015 with Toy Tokyo or an online exclusive is unknown to us at this exact moment – but the figure sure does look awesome in translucent green! Also pictured are the first in-package shots of the upcoming San Diego Comic Con 2015 exclusives from The Loyal Subjects – including the translucent Mighty Morphin Red Ranger, translucent Mighty Morphin Blue Ranger, and the metallic version of the Mighty Morphin Pink Ranger vs Rita Repulsa set!

Long speculated since Bandai’s initial SDCC teaser and confirmed today is the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Legacy Gold & Black Saba! This Saba is a black & gold repaint of the original retail release in the same vein as 2014’s SDCC Dragon Dagger.

For sale exclusively at the Bandai of America booth SDCC Saba retails for $175. Will you be adding this new piece to your morphenominal collection? The next San Diego Comic Con 2015 exclusive from Bandai America has been revealed on their Instagram account. And for all of you (including us!) who were theorizing about Ranger Keys of some sort – we’re eating humble pie because the official reveal is none other than Mighty Morphin Power Rangers themed Dino Chargers for use with your Dino Charge Morpher from the Power Rangers Dino Charge toy line.

The Dino Chargers are gold in color and feature the faces of all the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers as well as colored emblems representing their Dino Zord. This item is limited to 700 pieces and will retail for $30. Teased mere days ago in Bandai of America’s offerings for San Diego Comic-Con 2015, one of the mystery items has been officially unveiled!

For sale exclusively at the Bandai of America booth for SDCC 2015 is the White Ranger Tokyo Vinyl Figure! This figure will retail for the reasonable price of $25. With only 2 items yet to be officially revealed yet and the convention itself less than 1 month away we should see the rest of the reveals in the very near future!

For now file this one under the maybe category.

Bandai of America revealed a cryptic teaser for their San Diego Comic-Con 2015 exclusives just last week. And while we have a good idea what those 4 items are (1 of them confirmed to be non-toku) we may have a new item in the mix. An ebay listing has just been discovered for what appears to be a Loyal Subjects Mighty Morphin Red Ranger vinyl cast in translucent red plastic. While we haven’t heard about this figure being available at SDCC yet, it could be a similar case to the translucent Ranger Keys that were passed out at the show last year where select attendees received them.

For now feel free to speculate on the claim that this is an SDCC 2015 figure. As a Loyal Subjects item it wouldn’t be part of BOA’s pre-show reveals so right now we have no way to confirm it’s validity. As SDCC approaches (July 9th-12th) news will begin to trickle out about the upcoming exclusives, as it does we’ll be there to share all the information with you! Did you know that San Diego Comic Con 2015 is barely a month away? We’re headed there once again for the third year in a row to give you the most in-depth coverage of everything at the show including interviews with Bandai of America and Saban Brands and other manufacturers of your favorite Power Rangers toys!

Today on Instagram, Bandai of America teased out four blacked out images stating that they will begin revealing the exclusives for this year’s SDCC later this week. But thanks to site contributor and Ranger Nation member @trekkieb47, we’ve been able to deduce exactly the four exclusive items that are coming from Bandai of America!

Now – we can’t say they’re confirmed, or at least, we can’t confirm the details. But we have a pretty good idea. They are as follows:

  • A Legacy Saba Sword repaint (most likely gold like every other Legacy item they’ve done)
  • A set of Ranger Keys (box is similar to last year’s set and the logo appears to be that of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers The Movie, making them Movie Ranger Keys?)
  • Another Tokyo Vinyl Pop figure, most likely the White Mighty Morphin Power Ranger (the last two years saw Mighty Morphin Red & Green)
  • A Doraemon figure (to which the Internet said “…a what?!”)

This marks the third year in a row where the Mighty Morphin Green Ranger and/or White Ranger has more or less dominated the exclusives, causing the fans to groan out once more, “STOP FOCUSING ON ONE CHARACTER FROM ONE SERIES OVER 20 YEARS AGO!”

The Realm Cast has reported that Thai company Chaiyo has formed a new company called Ultraman USA Inc. They will be bringing over Ultraman series on blu-ray stateside, in addition to high end collectibles. For those of you who like dubbed releases, you’re in luck. Dubbing is planned in addition to subtitles.

The blu-ray releases include the following:

– Blu Ray release: One of the first orders they plan to execute is the blu ray release of Ultra Q, Ultraman, UltraSeven, Return of Ultraman, Ultraman Ace and Ultraman Taro along with Jamborg Ace. This will be the first time any of these shows have seen proper blu ray release stateside, in addition to a proper release of Return, Ace, Taro and Jamborg in the US. The plan is to add an English dialog track with the releases for those who have a difficult time with subtitles.

In addition, 2 new movies were announced:

Ultraman VS Gomora in Japan Olympic 2020

Jamborg Ace VS Ninja Panda

“Modern Hollywood special effects” are planned for use in lieu of an actor in a suit.

It’s that time of year once again for the comic & toy convention season to get under way! And getting the ball rolling on both fronts is the upcoming Lexington Comic & Toy Con, from March 13th-15th! What began in 2012 as a con that garnered over 1000 guests has flourished in the years since to it’s height now, attracting upwards of 20,000 guests from the around the midwest & southeast!

What’s even more impressive is how the guest list for this con has grown from featuring just a few of your favorite Power Rangers actors, to being one of the nations premiere selections of ranger actors! This year the convention staff have pulled out all the stops to offer the BIGGEST selection of Power Rangers, & Indeed Super Sentai actors, possible! Not to mention a few other fantastic bonuses for Ultraman fans! Check out the full guest list as it pertains to the tokusatsu fandom below, as maintained by our very own uchihabro77! 

Aside from this star studded guest list, LexCon is also an opportunity for fans to make real world connections. As I’ve done in years past I will of course be there repping for TokuNation.com & the Talkin Toku Podcast. But many other groups and personalities in the tokusatsu fandom will also be in attendance like trekkieb47 of Ranger Command Power Hour and RiderJetfire of Dans Toku Rants. If you’re going to be in attendance be sure to post in our Lexington Comic & Toy Con 2015 thread. Announced on the LexCon facebook page comes word that Yuta Mochizuki known for his role as Tyranno Ranger in Kyoryu Sentai Zyurager has sadly had to cancel his LexCon appearance for this year. Mr Mochizuki has become severely ill and unfortunately can’t make the trip to the states for now.

The silver lining to this sad situation though is that another Zyuranger actor will be taking his place. None other than Aohisa Takayasu AKA Mammoth Ranger! We certainly send our best wishes to Mr. Mochizuki and hope for a swift recovery, in the interim though be sure to head to the Lexington Comic & Toy Con from March 13th-15th to meet Mr. Takayasu!
