Video Demo of DX Kamen Rider Taisen Lock Seeds!

Posted on April 10, 2014 at 10:35 am by Kiryu under Kamen Rider

With the Showa VS Heisei movie currently in theaters in Japan, it’s the perfect time to take a look at the tie in toy: The DX Kamen Rider Taisen Lock Seed set!

Both Seeds are more or less the same; they’re capable of cycling through the names of each Rider series. The showa set goes from Ichigo to J before repeating the cycle while the Heisei set one from Kuuga to Gaim.

k2eizo of youtube provides the video of the set, you can watch it below:

Shoutouts to board member PkmnMstr for giving us the heads up!

Kamen Rider Gaim Arms Change Kurokage with Tulip Hopper Video Review

Posted on April 9, 2014 at 12:33 am by Chris under Kamen Rider

We love us any and all Kamen Rider Gaim merchandise here at TokuNation.com. One of our favorite lines to collect has also been one of the hardest to grab at retail – the Arms Change series of figures and accessories from Bandai Japan. Our friend and site contributor baltmatrix FINALLY got his hands on a figure set he had been looking forward to for some time now – the Arms Change 09 Kurokage with Tulip Hopper set – and was kind enough to do a video review of the figure. What’s the worst part about this figure? Is the extra dough for the Tulip Hopper worth it? If you’re on the fence on whether or not you want to pay the secondary market price for this figure, check out baltmatrix‘s review below and then make your decision!

The images in this video are courtesy our very own Den-O. If you’re not a subscriber to baltmatrix and his video channel then you should probably fix that by becoming a subscriber! Simply click here and subscribe so you never miss a beat on any of his video reviews. For all you Transformers fans out there, we’re getting close to the release of the Age of Extinction toy line. Why throw $40 at a figure that used to cost you $25 without first checking baltmatrix‘s video reviews? We’ve linked this news story to the gallery that Den-O did of the Arms Change Kurokage figure – go ahead and comment on it and the video review!

Talkin Toku Podcast Episode 007 – Tin Can Madness – Released

Posted on April 8, 2014 at 11:00 am by Chris under Kamen Rider, Power Rangers, Super Sentai, TokuNation, TokuNation Site Updates

The original trio of the Talkin Toku Podcast are back together for the first time in a month! Join Kickback (Chris, @rankal), Den-O (Jordan, @DenO_Tokunation), and Sentai Tamashii (Tom, @SoulInkChu)) in their latest adventure of discussing all things tokusatsu! The last time the group was together was before events like NJCC and LexCon, and now that they’re together, they spend some time remembering the conventions. Listen to Tom’s story of how he missed purchasing a holy grail for his collection by a matter of minutes! Find out what Steve Cardenas (Rocky, Mighty Morphin Red Power Ranger #2, Zeo Blue Power Ranger) did to troll Jordan at LexCon!

Gears shift as the crew then discusses the recent developments on Kamen Rider Gaim. What was everyone’s most “OMG” moment when watching the show? What are their thoughts on DJ Sagura? The trainbow is tasted once more as Tom and Jordan discuss the Shadow Line extensively with Ressha Sentai ToQGer and Jordan makes a bold prediction for just who ToQ #6 will end up being! Finally, Chris gushes over the episode “Spirit of the Tiger” from Power Rangers Super Megaforce. But, as with anything Power Rangers related, someone ends up hogging the spotlight as the crew discusses, for the last time in a public format, the entire debacle that was Morphin Madness Round 3.

For those who were caught up heavily in Morphin Madness, this is your chance to get the scoop behind the controversial Twitter campaign with the hash tag #NoMoreTommy from the creator of that movement himself – Jordan. What was the real purpose behind it? Was there any spite attached to it, and if so, why? Jordan reveals all this episode. Check out the episode details below and take a listen for yourself!

IMPORTANT NOTE: Unfortunately, we had some technical difficulties with the audio on this podcast. The problem has been identified and will be corrected going forward, but sadly the original source for the audio is lost forever, meaning the only way you can hear this episode is through the current quality. After spending a few days trying to fix the audio from the source material, the decision was made by all three hosts to release the episode because, honestly, we thought it was a pretty damn good episode. We do apologize for the lackluster quality of the audio and hope you will still give the episode a listen. Again, future episodes will not have this problem.

We also get a close glimpse at some of Hibiki’s included accessories- the Ongekibou Rekka drumsticks, the Tuning Fork used to henshin and at least one Disc Animal.

BattleRide War 2 Update: Kachidoki Arms and More Returning Actors

Posted on April 2, 2014 at 7:23 pm by Kiryu under Kamen Rider

The latest scans are out for Kamen Rider Battle Ride War 2! In this latest update, the scans confirm that Kamen Rider Gaim’s latest form: Kachidoki Arms will in fact be playable.  The glowing aura that surrounds him suggests that Kachidoki could be Gaim’s special form that can only be used when a meter is filled completely.

In addition, we have three more actors that will be returning to reprise their characters in voice form: Musashi AKA Kamen Rider Caucasus from God Speed Love,  Hiroyuki Watanabe AKA , Kamen Rider Gaoh from the Ore Tanjou! film, and finally Takanoir Jinnai or  Kamen Rider Sorcerer: From Wizard in Magic Land.

While this doesn’t exactly confirm it, the addition of Gaoh suggests that Den-O’s Wing Form should be playable.
Kamen Rider Battle Ride War 2 will be available for both PS3 and WiiU consoles.

Kamen Rider Gaim VS Ressha Sentai ToQGer Episode SP

Posted on March 29, 2014 at 5:49 pm by Den-O under Kamen Rider, Super Sentai

As you know by now, this weeks regular Super Hero Time programming is being replaced by a very special crossover. This hour long special is Kamen Rider Gaim VS Ressha Sentai ToQger!

Serving as a prelude to the Heisei VS Showa Featuring Super Sentai film, this special will mark only the second time ever that a currently running Rider & Sentai will share a storyline. The first being Kamen Rider Decade & Samurai Sentai Shinkenger. This special is labelled as Episode SP for both series and chronologically should take place between Gaim episodes 26 & 27 and ToQger 6 & 7.

The episode itself airs shortly in Japan and subs will of course be up later in the week from our favorite groups. For now click “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post to be taken to our stickied discussion thread/poll for this special in the News and Rumors section.

Kamen Rider Baron Lemon Energy Arms, Gaim Jinba Peach Arms Revealed!

Posted on March 28, 2014 at 7:41 am by Paladin under Kamen Rider

After some early teasers we now have full images of Kamen Rider Baron’s new form, Lemon Energy Arms!

If these scans are accurate, Baron will be the second Rider to swap his Sengoku Driver for a Genesis model to take advantage of the Energy LockSeeds and the Sonic Arrow weapon. The exact circumstances of Baron’s new powers are not yet revealed.

In addition, we also get a close look at Gaim’s third Jinba form- Peach Arms! Since Jinba Cherry granted Gaim the ability of super-speed, Peach may have a special new ability of its own.

Keep watching Kamen Rider Gaim & stay tuned to TokuNation as we keep you up to date on this fresh and inventive new series!
