S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Kuuga Ultimate Form (Original Release) Gallery

Posted on August 21, 2016 at 12:57 am by Den-O under Kamen Rider

Chou Henshin!

My how time flies, it was only yesterday that S.H. Figuarts was starting to make it’s presence known in the era of Kamen Rider the First/Next & Decade. But the line has evolved in incredible ways since then, so it’s not often we take a step back with it. This month sees the release of Bandai’s latest  premium style renewal with  S.H. Figuarts Shinkocchou Seihou Kamen Rider Kuuga Ultimate Form. But before we get our hands on it, we wanted to turn back the clock with this figure from 2010, the original release of S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Kuuga Ultimate Form!

A dated figure by today’s standards, the original Kuuga Ultimate Form was actually pretty great. A solid sculpt with intricate paint apps, the then standard diecast feet, Toss in an abnormally decent accessory count, and that made this figuart one of the better releases for it’s day.  But how does it hold up today? We’ve included 60 images of S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Kuuga Ultimate Form in the full gallery thread as well as a lengthy reviews detailing the ins & outs of this aging mold.

Consider this gallery prep work for our upcoming look at S.H. Figuarts Shinkocchou Seihou Kamen Rider Kuuga Ultimate Form. Just based on official images alone it looks to be one of the most impressive figuarts releases this year. We’ll have the full gallery ready for you in a couple weeks!

Power Morphicon 5 – Movie Legacy Figures

Posted on August 20, 2016 at 2:00 pm by Chris under Power Morphicon, Power Rangers

If there was one disappointment from this year’s Power Morphicon, it would have been the severe lack of anything new movie related being revealed to the hordes of diehard Power Rangers fans. But we’ll go in to detail on the wins and losses at this year’s show later – for now we did manage to get some very nice up close and personal shots of the upcoming Movie Legacy figures.

These figures are all 6.5″ in scale, the same scale as the newer Legacy figures that you’re finding in stores everywhere. Fun fact! The Movie Red Ranger figure is not the same as first photographed at San Diego Comic Con – in fact it was swapped out with a more updated figure after the first or second day of San Diego Comic Con! You should be able to tell based on the fact that it appears to have more paint than the other figures and the detailing looks a little more crisp.

Check out nearly 30 images from Power Morphicon 5 – Movie Legacy Figures!

Power Morphicon 5 – Soul of Chogokin DaiZyuJin

Posted on August 18, 2016 at 9:16 pm by Chris under Power Morphicon, Power Rangers, Super Sentai

While there was plenty of new and exciting things to see at this year’s Power Morphicon, easily the most surprising and most exciting was the reveal of the upcoming Soul of Chogokin DaiZyuJin from Tamashii Nations. Featuring diecast metal and an incredible amount of detail, there was no details given about the new item from the Soul of Chogokin line. Adam from Tamashii Nations was on hand and the only details he would give us, or anyone, was that the best thing to relate this item to was the previously released Soul of Chogokin Voltron figure.

Teased in the text is “Battle mode has been initiated for NYCC 2016” … promising a more in-depth look at this amazing set of figures at this year’s New York Comic Con. And dare we say it … the first look at a combined mode? I mean, it’s not like we can see the Megazord’s head in a couple of the images we took … or can you?

Check out the entire gallery of the Soul of Chogokin DaiZyuJin by clicking the title of the story!
