A plethora of new behind-the-scenes images from the filming of Lionsgate’s Power Rangers reboot movie have surfaced online!

These action shots give us our BEST look yet at the new Red Ranger suit– and proves that these ARE physical costumes, not purely digital effects as some fans have speculated.

In addition, the Red Ranger is seen fighting two stuntmen in greenscreen suits- meaning some of the enemy forces (likely the iconic Putty Patrol) WILL be computer-generated effects.

After months of teasing and speculation, we finally have an official logo for the 24th season of Power Rangers!

Zircon is the reigning champion of the most popular intergalactic game show in the universe, and monsters battle to prove who is the mightiest warrior. Zircon is determined to become invincible by controlling the mythical Spirit Crystal, which contains six supernatural Ninja Power Throwing Stars. The only thing standing in his way is a new team of heroic teenage Power Rangers who possess the Spirit Crystal.

In case you missed the earlier announcement, another round of guest updates has occurred for the upcoming Official Power Morphicon convention – including one guest making his first true convention appearance! That’s right – for the first time ever, Justin Nimmo, who played Zhane the Silver Ranger in Power Rangers In Space, will be attending Power Morphicon! Check out the guest updates below!

Bandai has just updated it’s Ultraman 50th Anniversary page with a full set of official images for S.H. Figuarts Zetton!

This figure was just revealed in last weeks’ Tamashii Pick Up so there’s nothing new we haven’t seen before. But it’s nice to get a full look at this upcoming release. Zetton appears to at least include an effect part for interacting with S.H. Figuarts Ultraman, though not much else. We’ll update you if that changes.

S.H. Figuarts Zetton will be released in October as a retail release for 6480 yen.

under Godzilla

The S.H.Monster Arts line dives into yet another era of Godzilla, this one based on his Godzilla VS Biollante appearance.

S.H.Monster Arts Godzilla 1989 commands a very high price point with a suggested MSRB of 19,980 yen.

But what separates this King of Monsters from previous releases are a few built in features activated via a set of switches built into the figure’s neck: according to the product page the first function activates an LED gimmick which lights up the spines and mouth to replicate the iconic Atomic Roar attack, the second function seems to be a sound feature which plays BGMs straight from the movie.

S.H.Monster Arts Godzilla 1989 appears to be a standard release, and will drop sometime in October 2016. 

under Kamen Rider

While Tamashii Features might be dying down, the latest scans of Figureoh magazine have teased Series 4 of Kamen Rider Converge.

While there’s no release info as of yet, we know from preliminary sketches that Series 4 will include: Kamen Rider Blade, Joker Undead, Another Agito, and finally Hibiki.

A recent Instagram from the new Black Ranger, Ludi Lin has revealed another actor in Lionsgate’s reboot project: veteran performer Garry Chalk!

Chalk is perhaps best known to fans as the voice of Optimus Primal from Beast Wars: Transformers. His resume also includes on-camera appearances in 2009’s Watchmen and 2014’s Godzilla.

Based on the uniform seen in the photo above, Chalk appears to be a member of the Angel Grove police department in this new film. However, details are unconfirmed at time of writing.

Revealed during today’s marathon stream of Gosei Sentai Dairanger on ShoutFactoryTV, Shout! Factory’s next Super Sentai DVD release is none other than Chouriki Sentai Ohranger!

Chouriki Sentai Ohranger The Complete Series is set for release this November and pricing is of course going to be very similar to what we’ve seen from the last 3 Super Sentai sets from Shout. Zyuranger, Dairanger, Kakuranger, & now Ohranger all available with full official subtitles. Is there anything better?

Are you excited by the chance to own yet another complete Super Sentai series officially subtitled? If this sells well will we get Gekisou Sentai Carranger? We certainly hope so! Let the wonderful folks at Shout! Factory know how excited you are!

This Super Sentai series is where the beloved Mighty Morphin White Ranger originated from, as well as the Thunder Megazord and Tigerzord!

The Dairanger marathon starts at 9am PST at ShoutFactoryTV.com! The marathon is hosted by tokusatsu expert August Ragone! Last time there was a marathon (Zyuranger), we got the announcement of Ninja Sentai Kakuranger being subtitled. Does that mean we’ll get Ohranger (Zeo) announced this marathon? Announced recently is Erin Cahill – best known for her role as Jen, the Pink Time Force Power Ranger, in Power Rangers Time Force! She joins a guest list of Power Rangers actors that already includes Alison MacInnis (Pink Ranger, Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue) and Yoshi Sudarso (Blue Ranger, Power Rangers Dino Charge).
