Toku Toy Box is back with yet another vintage gallery for your viewing pleasure! Today we take a look back at a classic entry in the Metal Heroes franchise circa 1997-1998 with B-Robo Kabutack! And the toy of it’s titular hero, the Superchange Kabutack DX Set!

An often overlooked series, B-Robo Kabutack was the spiritual successor to the long forgotten Toei Fushigi Comedy series. A franchise marked by fun loving almost child like robots and their human allies. Examples being shows like Batten Robomaru, Morimori Bokkun, & Robot 8-Chan. Kabutack sat itself apart with some fantastic production values, a plot that borrows more than a little bit from Dragonball, and an absolutely fantastic gimmick for it’s toyline; Superchange! This DX Superchange set includes the fully transformable Kabutack as well as his 2 armors Drillut & Zabut, each sporting 3 different combinations with Kabutack!

Some new images from the Dobutsu Sentai Jyuuouger merchandise catalog have surfaced online!

For starters, we have our first look at this years’ transformation device- the Jyuuou Changer! This Changer appears to be a cube that can be converted into a cellphone.

Next, we get to see this teams’ main weapon- the Jyuuou Buster! This is a gun with attachment options for Jyuuou Cubes (exact effects unknown at time of writing).

Last but certainly not least, we have a clear image of the team logo! This artwork combines the various animal spirits for a very distinctive visual style.

It’s finally here! The season finale of Power Rangers Dino Charge has arrived! And the season ends with a bang – literally! But we’re not going to give away too many spoilers here on the front page. So what’s this episode all about?

For starters – Sledge has the Purple Energem! And it’s going to take all seven of the Power Rangers to stop him! But just when our heroes are planning their attack strategy, they end up attacked and the unthinkable happens – Sledge gets his hands on a second Energem! Will the Power Rangers recover the stolen Energems? Will they finally be able to stop Sledge once and for all? And will that Purple Energem ever end up bonding to someone?

All of those questions are answered in this, the season finale of Power Rangers Dino Charge! After some toy teases and speculation we finally have our first look at Kamen  Rider Ghosts’ 3rd rider, Kamen Rider Necrom!

Revealed in only a tiny portion of a magazine cover, Necrom is mostly obscured by Ghost Tokon Boost. Though his identity is currently unknown, one cant help but see some minute similarities between Necrom’s design and that of the Superior Ganma.  The popular speculation is on the mysterious Alan being Necrom, but it’s anyones guess right now! In any case we should know fairly soon just who this rider is.

The Thundering Brave, S.H. Figuarts Kyoryu Gold has arrived for Toku Toy Box with a brand new 2.0 gallery! Rounding out our trip down memory lane with Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger it’s fitting that we end that trip with Kyoryu Gold.

Though he may have been the final Kyoryuger released, Kyoryu Gold is by far the best. Benefiting from a slightly bulkier build than the the previous five, Kyoryu Gold has by far the most heroic proportions. On top of this the figure also features a wonderful gold paint finish, and a decent load out of accessories. The massive Zandar Thunder sword, several sets of hands, a #6 Zyudenchi, the pre-attached Gaburichanger, and the most important accessory of all; the Fang Shot! Which is the final piece needed to create the Kentrospiker! 

With the apparent death of Super Sentai S.H. Figuarts we likely won’t ever get the rest of the Kyoryugers, but if that’s the case? Then S.H. Figuarts Kyoryu Gold is an appropriate finisher to the line. After a merchandise listing popped up earlier this week, we now have the first image of Kamen Rider Ghost’s next upgrade- the DX Eyecon Driver G!

This new Driver resembles a large golden Eyecon, lined with the symbols of all Heroic Damashiis. According to recent rumors, the Eyecon Driver G will unlock Kamen Rider Ghosts’ most powerful form to date- Grateful Damashii! This form will let Ghost channel the abilities of all Damashiis without changing Eyecons. Sadly, the Grateful Damashii does not make a full appearance in this scan- only a shadow is seen.

The DX Eyecon Driver G is scheduled for release in March 2016!

After the initial teasing of Riderman, Bandai of Japan’s finally revealed the rest of his wave mates in the next instalment of the Shodo Kamen Rider VS series.

Along with the aforementioned Riderman, Shodo Kamen Rider VS Part 2 will contain:

  • Old Kamen Rider 2 in his original TV color scheme
  • Rider 1 Sakurajima Version
  • Riderman
  • Shocker Monster Zanjioh(From episode 66 of the original show)
  • Shocker Combatman.

Shodo Kamen Rider VS Part 2 will be released in April 2016

Toho has released the first teaser trailer for their new Godzilla movie!

A poster has also been released, giving us our first look at the Godzilla design for this feature and confirming the films’ official title- Godzilla: Resurgence!

Written & directed by Hideaki Anno, Godzilla: Resurgence is scheduled for release in theaters on July 29, 2016!

Brave In!

It’s been a long time coming but TokuNation is continuing it’s series of gallery do-overs or as we like to call them, Gallery 2.0! Earlier this year we posted 2 such galleries, S.H. Figuarts Kyoryu Red and S.H. Figuarts Kyoryu Blue & Kyoryu Green. Now this segment returns for Toku Toy Box with a 2.0 Gallery of S.H. Figuarts Kyoryu Black & Kyoryu Pink!

Kyoryu Black & Pink may have been out for a while now but that doesn’t diminish their excellence. Kyoryu Black of course shares the same excellent male Kyoryuger mold we’ve we’ve come to expect & Kyoryu Pink is an all body type! As with their Blue/Green predecessors this set comes with an array of accessories for themselves and also for the team. Their respective personal weapons the Parasagun & Drice Lance as well as Armed On Arms to compliment them, Gaburevolvers & Zyudenchi, Gaburicaliburs and an array of hands, and of course the Shield Lan Slasher parts needed to build the Kentrospiker!

The first Blu-Ray release for Kamen Rider Ghost has been listed on Amazon.jp and an interesting special feature is mentioned this time!

A mini-drama side-story featuring Alan, the scarf-clad Ganma observer, will be included on these Blu-Rays. No story details have been revealed at time of writing but the feature may explore Alan’s history with Kamen Rider Specter or the early days of the Ganma.

Alan Gaiden (title subject to change) and the Kamen Rider Ghost Blu-Rays are scheduled for release on April 13, 2016!
