under Super Sentai

We are growing ever closer to the official reveal of the 45th Super Sentai series Kikai Sentai Zenkaiger and a plethora of new information about this new series has just been released online!

Thanks to LinkedToku on social media we have learned the following details-

Zenkaigers’ story begins with a pair of scientists that discovered parallel worlds & could concentrate the powers of these worlds into small devices called Gears. In the process they discovered a world of mechanical lifeforms known as Kikanoids– normally a peaceful people but now their world has been conquered by the Evil Dynasty Tojitendo that seeks to eliminate all other worlds.

The scientists’ son, a young man named Kaito (described as an adventurous friendly man with no sense of personal space) takes up the power of the Gears with another device- the GearTlinger to transform into a new Super Sentai hero- ZenKaiser!

Four of the Kikanoids are able to join Kaito-

*Zyuran– the senior member of the team, who thinks he is calm and relaxed but is in practice a stubborn old man. With the power of the Gears he takes on the combat form ZenkaiZyuran!
*Gaon– a peaceful airhead with a love of cooking, who becomes ZenkaiGaon for fights.
*Vroom– the educated team member with a love for schooling; his battle form is ZenkaiVroom.
*Magine– a shy otaku obsessed with the occult who can transform into ZenkaiMagine when needed.

The Zenkaigers will be aided in their missions by Secchan– a strange talking mechanical bird created by Kaito’s parents.

In addition to changing between humanoid-robo and Zenkaiger forms, the Kikanoids are also able to transform into Mechas! The artwork gives us some ideas of the combinations- a type of SYMMETRICAL DOCKING where one Zenkai Robo forms half the combination.

Kikai Sentai Zenkaiger is currently scheduled for release March 7 2021! Stay tuned to TokuNation as we keep you up to date on this remarkable new chapter in Super Sentai history!

“Zack here, this is kicking!”

An interdimensional wizard asking him to defend the earth from a 10,000 year old witch may have been just too weird for Zack Taylor, at first. But faced with a choice, let monsters attack him and his friends or step up and defend the Earth, he was always going to do the right thing. Clever & brave, Zack was gifted the powers of the Mighty Morphin Black Ranger & the powerful Mastodon Dinozord! Protecting Earth from the likes of Rita Repulsa and Lord Zedd, Zack was the first in a long line of Black Powers Rangers and powerful black heroes.

Finally rounding out the core team of the original 5 Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, the Mighty Morphin Black Ranger brings us around to our 2nd release for Zack Taylor in the line. First released in his Dragon Shield form, this standard variant gives us  many of the same accessories. The Power Axe is a straight repack and the effect for it cast in new colors, we get a pair of hands, the Blade Blaster gun mode as well as a brand new sculpt for the sword/blade mode, and we get an all new unmasked headsculpt based on the likeness of Zack’s actor Walter Jones! That’s more than enough variety to warrant purchasing this character again in my opinion.

The official TV-Asahi page for the 45th Super Sentai series Kikai Sentai Zenkaiger has officially gone public offering fans some key details on this upcoming project!

Zenkaiger’s head writer will be Junko Komura whose resume includes Dobutsu Sentai Zyuohger & Kaitou Sentai Lupinranger VS Keisatsu Sentai Patranger. Long-time Sentai veteran Shojiro Nakazawa will serve as the series’ director, while veteran suit actor Hirofumi Fukuzawa will take up the role of action director once again. The series will be produced by Shinichiro Shirakura, previously known for several Kamen Rider shows.

The story of Zenkaiger will feature the hero ZenKaiser and his four robot followers uniting against a foe determined to erase all parallel worlds. The unique Sentai Gear will concentrate the powers of past Sentai to aid in combat and further transformations.

An official cast reveal for Kikai Sentai Zenkaiger is currently scheduled for January 15 2021! The series itself will begin on March 7 2021!

Following on from the White Ranger and Fighting Spirit Green Ranger, the Dino Thunder Red Ranger brings a bit more heroic red presence to your collection, and a ton of accessories along with it. Equipped with the Thundermax Blaster & Saber, Connor also comes with a brand new unique effect part for the saber, the Tyranno Staff, extra hands and an unmasked head based on the likeness of Connor’s actor James Napier! That’s quite the complete package for this figure.

After an early teaser, we now have our first proper look at the 45th Super Sentai series- Kikai Sentai Zenkaiger!

This series represents a major change in formula for Super Sentai; instead of a human team the Zenkaigers are four robots led by the apparently-human ZenKaiser.

The other four members of the Sentai are known as:


*ZenkaiGaon
*ZenkaiZyuran
*ZenkaiMagine
*ZenkaiVroom

Each robot is based on an iconic Super Sentai Mecha- GaoKing, Daizyujin, MagiKing & DaiBouken respectively. According to toy listings, the Zenkaigers will use Sentai Gear to channel the powers of previous Sentai.

Sadly, no other details on the Kikai Sentai Zenkaiger have been confirmed at time of writing. Stay tuned to TokuNation for this new chapter in Super Sentai history!

Gold & silver with royal purple compound eyes, Thouser is exactly as ostentatious as it’s user would have hoped. A lavishly detailed and well executed figure with a handful of design drawbacks, Thouser is complimented by his Thousand Jacker and even includes a Raidriser for use with other figures! While not a perfect release it will add 1000% more power to your collection.

The second issue of the upcoming RADIANT BLACK comic book is going to have you seeing red!

The release of RADIANT BLACK Issue 02 will have RADIANT RED front and center.  But what is RADIANT RED?  Is it a new character or a mysterious new form for RADIANT BLACK?  Writer Kyle Higgins and artist Marcelo Costa continue their exciting new project this March via Image Comics!  What is RADIANT BLACK?  It’s a brand new superhero comic book that takes a little bit of POWER RANGERS mixed with a bit of SPIDER-MAN and INVINCIBLE!  The result is an action-packed story with relatable characters – a true superhero book for the 21st century!

We finally have our first look at the 45th Super Sentai series, Kikai Sentai Zenkaiger!

The character in question is the leader of the Zenkaiger team- known as ZenKaiser according to toy listings.

The ZenKaiser suit uses a very different design pattern than recent Super Sentai offerings, including armor and a cape.

Will this mean more radical design choices for the rest of the team? Only time will tell!

“Get off our planet!”

Billy Cranston was an average kid with a way beyond average intellect. Making his way through high school with his friends was hard enough, before a benevolent inter-dimensional being chose him and 4 others to protect the Earth from an ancient evil sorceress! Patient & wise, Billy was gifted the powers of the Mighty Morphin Blue Ranger & the powerful Triceratops Dinozord! Part of an incredible team, Billy defended the Earth for years to come as it’s one and only Blue Ranger. When things changed, Billy was always there with a steady hand and strong mind to help guide the Power Rangers towards victory.

The Mighty Morphin Blue Ranger finally rounds out our reviews of the Lightning Collection Wave 5 figures, and brings us close to having the full MMPR team. Armed with the Tricera Lance in both forms as well as his Blade Blaster Billy is ready to face any threat. Of course some extra hands, and energy effect, and an unmasked head based on the likeness of actor David Yost also round out this release! Next time we revisit MMPR one more time to round out the final standard member of the team with the Mighty Morphin Black Ranger!

In a surprise announcement, Team Kamen Rider shared the news that the Kamen Rider Gaim – Great Soccer Battle! Golden Fruits Cup! movie will be added to the Toei Tokusatsu World Official YouTube channel at 5pm PT / 8pm ET on Friday, December 18th.  We reached out to Team Kamen Rider to confirm that, yes, the movie will be subtitled in English for Western speaking fans.

This movie takes place during the Kamen Rider Gaim television series but happens in a parallel dimension.  Fans of the show will see familiar faces not seen in quite some time.  Newcomers will get to experience the entirety of the lineup of Kamen Rider Gaim characters in a single movie including movie-only Riders and forms however it will a lot of the story elements if you haven’t watched the series (ie: the surprise of certain characters becoming Kamen Riders or the identity of certain forms).
