S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Mad Rogue Gallery

Posted on June 24, 2019 at 5:40 pm by Den-O under Kamen Rider, TokuNation, TokuNation Site Updates, TokuNation Spotlights

“In that case….. There’s only one answer!”

Utsumi Nariaki was one of the Nanba Children. Raised to be loyal to one man only, Juzaburo Nanba. Loyal until the day Juzaburo was murdered, Utsumi faithfully served. But seeing his master’s death at the hands of Kamen Rider Evol pushed him over the edge. With Utsumi’s spirit broken, he was faced with the impossible option to take revenge, or serve Evol. Accepting the power of the Evol Driver and rejecting the pain of his grief, Utsumi is reborn as Kamen Rider Mad Rogue!

A familiar mold returns for it’s 4th outing for Kamen Rider Build. Night Rogue, Blood Stalk, Hell Bros, and now Mad Rogue! A lavish repaint with some new molding, Mad Rogue is absolutely gorgeous in hand. While evoking the fierce grief of Utsumi’s loss, this figure does manage to look a bit like a certain G2 Transformer as well…. Armed with the Nebula Steam Gun and Steam Blade, Mad Rogue is a wonderful (and brightly colored) new menace for your heroic riders!

Power Rangers Lightning Collection Lord Zedd Gallery

Posted on June 18, 2019 at 3:16 pm by Den-O under Power Rangers, TokuNation Site Updates, TokuNation Spotlights

“They have won this time but none of us shall rest,
until the rangers are completely destroyed and the Earth is reduced to mere cinders!”

Rita Repulsa has had enough chances. After ruling over darker parts of the universe, Lord Zedd has returned! The emperor of evil tasked Rita with conquering Earth, defeating Zordon, and destroying the Power Rangers. With her inability to do so, he has returned to do that job himself! With an army of super strong Putties, more powerful monsters, and an insatiable rage against heroes, could Lord Zedd finally defeat the Power Rangers?

Joining Habro’s Lightning Collection line as it’s debut villain, Lord Zedd is such a welcome addition to the line. A wonderfully sculpted and detailed figure, Zedd captures the essence of his on screen presence perfectly. Absolutely the best articulated figure of the character ever, Zedd can menace any of your ranger figures. Armed with his iconic Z-Staff, a Monster Growth Bomb, energy effect, and an extra pair of hands, this is a must own for any Power Rangers fans.

Check out 50+ images of Lightning Collection Lord Zedd after the jump. Just click “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post to be taken to the full review thread. We’ll be back soon with more galleries from Kamen Rider Ex-Aid, Power Rangers Beast Morphers, and more!

S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Grease Blizzard Gallery

Posted on June 14, 2019 at 7:52 pm by Den-O under TokuNation, TokuNation Site Updates, TokuNation Spotlights

“I’ll let my passion burn, and crush you.”

Evolt is minutes away from total victory, harnessing the power of Pandora’s Box & the Lost Bottles, he will consume the Earth and countless more planets. Sento & Banjou must press on to fight him, but standing in their way are clones of the Hokuto Three! With only his life left to give, Kazumi will face his fallen friends one more time. But the power of Grease alone won’t be enough. Kazumi must wield the deadly Blizzard Knuckle and walk the lonely path of a hero. With frozen fists and an icy resolve, Grease becomes Kamen Rider Grease Blizzard!

Grease Blizzard joins the Build line up of Figuarts nearly a year after his debut. A very late stage one off addition to the show, it goes without saying that actor Kouhei Takeda’s incredible performance drove his character’s arc, and eventual upgrade. The Blizzard episodes (46 & 47) in particular were very powerful, and it’s wonderful to finally have a figure to represent him in that moment. Grease Blizzard is a combination of the basic Cross-Z & original Grease body molds but features two new key changes as well. The fully functional Blizzard Knuckle & a new robotic left hand, the GBZ Demolition One!

We have an icy 60 images of Kamen Rider Grease Blizzard for you to check out after the jump. Just click “discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post to see them, and read through our full review. The next time we visit the world of Build, we’ll be meeting the mad man himself, Kamen Rider Mad Rogue!

Goodsmile Max Combine DX Full Power Gridman Gallery

Posted on June 8, 2019 at 10:20 pm by Den-O under General Tokusatsu News, TokuNation, TokuNation Site Updates, TokuNation Spotlights, Ultraman

“Hyperlink combine!”

SSSS.Gridman took two communities by storm in the last year. The anime & tokusatsu fandoms were united by the amazing animation studio Trigger’s love letter to the original Denkou Choujin Gridman and it’s near countless references to other tokusatsu of year’s past. The series was short but it’s impact was immense, leading to a near endless stream of related multimedia and products since. Ever since the series ended, fans have been patiently waiting for the promised toys to come of it.

DX Full Power Gridman is the first major attempt to recreate the 5 components of Gridman’s true form. Gridman, Gridman Calibur, Battle Tracto Max, Buster Borr, & Sky Vitter. Each component on it’s own may not do much, but combining Gridman with 1 of each, or assembling them all together can create Full Power Gridman! Or if you so choose to leave Gridman out of the equation entirely, then you can create God Zenon! While there’s a wealth of options with this set in hand, does it actually live up to the hype? We have a very very lengthy written review and photo gallery breaking down how expectations, have met reality.

See the full 130 image gallery and 5300+ word review of the Max Combine DX Full Power Gridman by clicking “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post. Share with us what your thoughts are on this set by joining the discussion thread.

S.H. Figuarts Shinkocchou Seihou Kamen Rider Todoroki Gallery

Posted on June 5, 2019 at 2:39 pm by Den-O under Kamen Rider, TokuNation, TokuNation Site Updates, TokuNation Spotlights

“I just can’t see myself replacing you, Zanki.”

Kamen Rider Hibiki finally joined the S.H. Figuarts line over 4 years ago. Then last year, Tamashii finally made their second addition from Hibiki’s world to this line with Kamen Rider Ibuki. And while the Oni Riders have been slow to appear in the Shinkocchou Seihou line, it looks like things are gaining momentum now! With an upcoming release for Kamen Rider Zanki on the way, we’re taking today to look at his recently released apprentice and partner, Kamen Rider Todoroki!

Todoroki is yet another insanely gorgeous Oni to add to your collection. The Hibiki mold has some minor shortcomings still, but it’s undeniable the kind of shelf presence that each successive use of it brings to the table. Todoroki like his predecessors is armed with 3 Disc Animals but more importantly the massive Ongekigen Retsurai. This incredibly ornate guitar weapon is probably one of my favorite accessories in a long time. When combined with Todoroki’s Ongekishin Raigou and with the blades extended, this is a weapon for any villain to fear!

We’ve attached the full 75+ image gallery to this post but you can also read through our full review of Shinkocchou Seihou Todoroki by clicking “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post. Next time, we’ll revisit the world of games and medicine with a gallery of Kamen Rider Poppy!

Power Rangers Beast Morphers Beast Jet & Beast Wrecker Zords Revealed

Posted on June 5, 2019 at 9:45 am by Den-O under Power Rangers

Thanks to a pair of new listings posted on Toywiz we have our first looks at two as of yet unannounced new items for Power Rangers Beast Morphers. Both Zords are of the “Converting” variety. So these are the combining zords meant to go along with the upcoming Beast-X Megazord components!

First up we have the Silver Ranger’s Beast Jet Zord! Luckily for this one, Toywiz does have an official description:“Imagine calling on the power of the Beast Jet Converting Zord and battling the Power Rangers’ toughest foes. Convert from robotic Scarab Mode, ready for a fight, to Jet Mode, ready to fly to the next place Zord power is needed. And, combined with Beast Racer Converting Zord, Beast Wheeler Converting Zord, Beast Wrecker Converting Zord and Beast Chopper Converting Zord (Each sold separately. Subject to availability.), kids can assemble the Beast- X Ultrazord to imagine taking on even more powerful foes. Go Go Power Rangers!” The listed price via Toywiz is $29.99and the figure is expected to ship in September.

Next, we have the Gold Ranger’s Beast Wrecker Zord! While the Toywiz listing doesn’t have an official description yet, it’s apparent what we’re getting from this release. This Beetle Based zord converts from insect to mechanical crane truck mode and can also combine with the Beast Wrecker or be used with the other 4 Zords to create the Beast-X Ultrazord! This Zord is also listed at $29.99 with a September release.

When a proper description arrives for the Beast Wrecker Zord we’ll be sure to update this story. Hopefully the reveal of these two zords also means that official images of the Beast-X Ultrazord won’t be far behind either.

Our good friend @MisturYellow on twitter originally discovered these listings.

Power Rangers Beast Morphers 6″ Basic Cybervillain Blaze Gallery

Posted on May 28, 2019 at 11:19 am by Den-O under Power Rangers, TokuNation, TokuNation Site Updates, TokuNation Spotlights

“How about another karate lesson, Devon?”

With the raw power of the Morphin’ Grid tapped, Grid Battleforce seeks to create a new generation of Power Rangers! 3 Recruits are chosen and their leader, their red ranger, will be none other than Blaze. Or he would have been. Thanks to the viral villain Evox, the Morph is hijacked and ranger recruits Roxy & Blaze become something far more sinister. Their bodies left in comas and their mind’s copied, these dark reflections of their true selves are loyal only to Evox, given the ability to morph into their own dark ranger Avatars….

Cybervillain Blaze joins the ever growing line up of the Beast Morphers 6″ Basic Line. Another real winner from Wave 1, Blaze gives your Red Ranger a rival at last, though Roxy is hitting store shelves currently as well. Blaze shares many of his design cues with the Basic Tronic, like the hip design, but this radically evil ranger has a presence all his own. Armed with his own Blaze Saber, Blaze Beast Blaster, and Blaze Morph X Key, this figure should be a welcome addition to any Beast Morphers (Or Go-Busters!) collection.

See our full 40 image gallery as well as full review of 6″ Basic Cybervillain Blaze after the jump. Just click “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post to be taken to the full thread. In our next trip to the Morphin’ Grid, we find out what a certain old Emperor of Evil has been up to with Hasbro’s Lightning Collection line…

Beast Morphers: 6″ Silver Ranger, Red Fury Red Ranger, & more Revealed

Posted on May 23, 2019 at 3:13 pm by Den-O under Power Rangers

“Unleash the beast!”

Thanks to Twitter user @Martian_Ranger new press images are now circulating for 3 new Power Rangers Beast Morphers 6″ Basic figures!

– 6″ Basic Silver Ranger
– 6″ Basic Red Ranger (Red Fury Mode)
– 6″ Basic Drilltron

This figure for Red Fury Mode provides our first official look at the power up for this season’s Red Ranger. We saw some filming images of this power up a few months back, but had no confirmation of it’s name or anything else about it before now. though it definitely takes inspiration from Red Buster’s Power Custom mode, this is an entirely new design. Likewise this is our first look at any figure for the Silver Ranger in this series’ toyline. Rounding out the trio is another really fantastic looking villain figure, Drilltron!

On top of this new, Martian Ranger has also discovered press photos for the upcoming Electronic Beast-X Ultrazord as well as the roleplay weapon for the Red Ranger’s Red Fury Mode, the Electronic Cheetah Claw!

Pricing and release windows for these new additions have not been made public as of yet, but we’ll keep you informed when they do.

Power Rangers Lightning Collection S.P.D. Shadow Ranger Gallery

Posted on May 21, 2019 at 11:25 am by Den-O under Power Rangers, Super Sentai, TokuNation, TokuNation Site Updates, TokuNation Spotlights

“S.P.D. Emergency!”

His home planet Sirius decimated by Emperor Gruumm, Anubis Doggie Cruger came to Earth as commander of the law enforcement organization Space Patrol Delta. Cruger would protect the galaxy many times and mentor teams of Power Rangers for a number of years. The greatest team being Earth’s eventual saviors, the S.P.D. B-Squad. As heroic as they were, in desperate times Cruger used his Patrol Morpher to become the sworn defender of the galaxy, S.P.D. Shadow Ranger!

Another wonderful addition to wave 1 of Hasbro’s Lighting Collection line of figures, the S.P.D. Shadow Ranger is absolutely one of the most demanded figures in the line by fans. It’s been 14 years since SPD aired and this character’s popularity has maintained, not to mention the demand from fans of Tokusou Sentai Dekaranger for a figure of Deka Master. The LC Shadow Ranegr figure at it’s $20 price point offers a wealth of articulation as well iconic accessories like the Shadow Saber, Patrol Morpher, and even an un-morphed Doggie Cruger head! For fans of both Power Rangers and Super Sentai, this figure is a must own.

We’ve attached the full 70 image gallery to this post but you can also read our full review after the jump by clicking “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post. Next time we’re back with another Morph-X powered gallery with 6″ Basic Cybervillain Blaze!
