S.H. Figuarts Ride Macher Gallery

Posted on August 26, 2015 at 10:11 pm by Den-O under Kamen Rider

Searching, destroying, all done at mach speed! And this time Kamen Rider Mach has a little bit of help, today we’re taking a look at the recently released S.H. Figuarts Ride Macher!

The Ride Macher is both the companion piece and sort of the successor to the Ride Chaser and these brother machines share a base in the Honda NM4. At their core the figures are quite similar as well. The Ride Macher trades out the Chaser’s dark theme for a bright futuristic look that definitely syncs up with Mach’s own racing motif. The Ride Macher also includes many more accessories than the Ride Chaser in the form of 2 new Advent Signals and their accompanying Signal Bikes; Tomarle & Kaksarn! As with the Chaser a 1st run bonus accessory is also included, the Funky Spike Effect! Sadly of course this bike can not form the mighty Ride Crosser with the Ride Chaser, unlike the DX’s they simply aren’t capable of it.

We’ve attached a selection of images to this post but check out our full discussion thread by clicking “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” in order to see the full 40+ images of the S.H. Figuarts Ride Macher & the Funky Spike Effect Bonus!

Ninninger EX Otomonin DX Dinomaru Gallery

Posted on August 22, 2015 at 11:06 am by Den-O under Super Sentai

Washoi! The dinosaur Otomonin joins the fray in this years theatrical film Shuriken Sentai Ninninger The Movie: The Dinosaur Lord’s Splendid Ninja Scroll. And not to be left out on the toy side of the things, a special “EX” release has just hit retail for this new ally to the Ninningers with DX Dinomaru!

EX DX Dinomaru is a pretty wild toy. From the ground up this figure is a remold & repaint of the previously released DX Paonmaru, bet you never thought Bandai could get an elephant and a T-Rex out of the same like that? Sharing much of the same transformation as his mold mate, Dinomaru still manages to be new and creative, bringing his own charm to combining with Shurkenjin to form Shurikenjin Dino!

Before you check out our complete gallery be sure to check out the video below to see a full review of EX DX Dinomaru from friend & site contributor baltmatrix!

After checking out the above video be sure to view our full 60 image gallery of DX Dinomaru by simply clicking “Discuss on the TokuNation Forum” at the bottom of this post! And be sure to take a moment to get up to date on our previous Ninninger DX galleries:

S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Mach & Funky Spike First Run Bonus Gallery

Posted on August 18, 2015 at 10:11 pm by Den-O under Kamen Rider

It’s time to get this one done at mach speed! We’re back with our latest look at the toy line of Kamen Rider Drive with S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Mach! In addition we’re also taking a look at Mach’s 1st Run Bonus accessory, the Funky Spike Tire set!

Gou Shijima has joined this toyline in style as Kamen Rider Mach. The 3rd release in the line, Mach is yet again a brand new mold and unlike his predecessors Drive Type Speed & Mashin Chaser, Mach actually has quite the impressive accessory selection including the Magarl Signal Bike & Advent, and his trademark Zenrin Shooter! On top of this Mach includes (as a 1st run bonus) Drive’s Funky Spike Tire Set! These bonuses include the full tire, Shift Car, & Mr Belt read out.

Frankly S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Mach is the best release in the line so far in terms of figure quality & accessory count. We’ve attached a selection of images to this post but click “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post to see the full 80 image gallery! We’ll back very soon with another gallery from Drive as well, the S.H. Figuarts Ride Macher!

Taiyo Sentai Sun Vulcan – S.H. Figuarts Vul Shark & Vul Panther Gallery!

Posted on August 8, 2015 at 1:17 am by Den-O under Super Sentai

Follow the sun! Catch the sun!

TokuNation returns at long last with a new S.H. Figuarts Super Sentai gallery! Though releases are few and far between in recent years those that have come out have been fantastic figures to review. Today is no different as we’re taking a look at the recent Tamashii Web Exclusive 2-pack of S.H. Figuarts Vul Shark & Vul Panther from Taiyo Sentai Sun Vulcan!

When we reviewed Vul Eagle way back in December I had nothing but praise to heap upon that figure, and now I get to do the same thing, twice! S.H. Figuarts Vul Shark & Vul Panther retain all of the excellent qualities that made Vul Eagle perfect. Top notch sculpt and paint work on top of an almost perfection accessory selection make it pretty hard to not like these figures. And in a rare occurence this release officially completes the Sun Vulcan team! Granted they only had 3 (technically 4) members but it’s a rarity these days. If you haven’t picked up Vul Shark & Vul Panther yet I highly suggest it, this 2-pack will bring just a little bit more of that old school Showa class to your collection.

We’ve attached a selection of images to this post but feel free to peruse 70 images of S.H. Figuarts Vul Shark & Vul Panther as well as an in depth review. Simply click “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post. The quick version though? Buy theses figures. And here’s to hoping that one day the Sun Vulcan villains of Black Magma may get the same excellent treatment that these heroes of the sun did. Eagle, Shark, Panther!

Ninninger DX Otomonin Surfermaru Gallery

Posted on July 30, 2015 at 10:51 pm by Den-O under Super Sentai

Surfin’ Washoi!

We’re back with  another review of a recent addition to Shuriken Sentai Ninninger’s bizarre toyline! This time we’re taking a look at the ally of the seas, DX Otomonin Surfermaru!

DX Surfermaru is the last of the regular “upgrade” Otomonin aside from the Movie exclusive Dinomaru & the massive new mecha Lion Ha Oh. And while each toy in this line has been unique in it’s own right, Surfermaru is kind of bizarre. A robot that can ride a wheeled surf board or transform into a submarine form with a shark like face. It’s interesting to say the least. Possible combinations to be made with this toy are Shurikenjin Surfer & Bison King Surfer. It should also be noted that so far, Surfermaru is the only extra otomonin documented to have intentional functionality with Bison King.

We’ve got 60 images of DX Surfermaru in the full gallery (with review) which can be viewed by clicking the link at the bottom of this article. Next time for Ninninger we take a look at DX Lion Ha Oh!

SDCC 2015 – High Resolution Images of the Legacy Thunder Megazord

Posted on July 17, 2015 at 12:07 pm by Chris under Conventions, Power Rangers, San Diego Comic Con

It’s time to show YOU the power of thunder! At this year’s San Diego Comic Con 2015, our friends at Bandai America pulled off one of the biggest reveals of the entire show when they unveiled the incredibly anticipated Legacy Thunder Megazord figure in their display with the rest of the Legacy items. Featuring plenty of diecast metal (why do you think it’s being hung up by wires!?) and said to be faithful to the show, this item immediately became one of our most viewed stories on TokuNation and shot up to the top of everyone’s “must have” list in terms of Power Rangers merchandise – including those who don’t even collect the merchandise!

We spent a lot of time trying to get the best shots possible to show you how the Legacy Thunder Megazord comes together and the incredible detail that went in to every little part of this figure. Click the story and check out 25 high resolution images.

The Legacy Thunder Megazord is due to ship out in November 2015 with an estimated release date of sometime in January 2016. There is no price point yet revealed. Please remember – this item is not the final retail version!

SDCC 2015 – High Resolution Images of New Power Rangers Dino Charge Figures

Posted on July 17, 2015 at 11:10 am by Chris under Conventions, Power Rangers, San Diego Comic Con

We took so many pictures while attending San Diego Comic Con 2015 that we’re STILL working on getting them all out to you! And one of the sets that took the most time was this set of 78 images of all the new Power Rangers Dino Charge figures that were on display. Included in this set are all of the villain figures that we’ve seen listed on Amazon such as Sledge, Curio, Wrench, the other villains whose names keep changing, as well as the Ammonite Zord, the Zord Armor Gold Ranger, and the massive T-Rex “stomp and chomp” toy that will be available this holiday.

Check out 78 high resolution images by clicking the title of the story! Then join in the discussion – which one of the villains looks the most amazing? Did they not knock it out of the park with that new zord armor? And who doesn’t want their own Rexy hanging out? Sound off!
