“Kamen Ride.”

Exactly 1 month ago, Bandai’s Figuarts Blog teased the return of a popular figure to the line. Seeing yet another surge in his already immense popularity thanks to a crossover in Kamen Rider Zi-O, Masahiro Inoue’s Kadoya Tsukasa/Kamen Rider Decade is coming back to destroy collector’s wallets once again with an updated Figuarts release!

The fantastic S.H. Figuarts Shinkocchou Seihou Kamen Rider Decade is returning in a new Neo Decadriver Version, featuring the updated accessory used by Tsukasa as of his Zi-O appearances. It’s quite likely that since this version of the figure does indeed feature the Neo Decadriver that it will also come with the back half of the Heisei Rider cards of W through Build. Other accessories, as well as specific yen pricing are not known at this time. This figure will be released in  August 2019. 

As is often the case with new reveals like this, we only have a selection of the proper official images as provided by @Tokullector. When the full listing goes up on the Tamashii Nations site we’ll update this story.

The most recent post on Bandai’s S.H. Figuarts blog cycles through the official images of the upcoming Ride Striker release for Kamen Rider Zi-O. The post details the accessories it comes with as well as it’s compatibility with both Zi-O and Geiz. However, at the end of the post is an odd teaser.

“次回、ジオウ＆ゲイツに強大な敵が立ちふさがる….!?”
“Next time, a mighty enemey will stop Zi-O & Geiz….!?”

The image attached is of the yet to be released Zi-O and Geiz Figuarts posed as though they’ve just lost a fight, while Decade stands tall in the background, back facing them. This image is very likely teasing something a lot of people have been hoping for since news of Decade’s return in Zi-O was made known. Given his turned back, this could very well indicate a potential reissue of the Shinkocchou Seihou Decade S.H. Figuart, though with the new magenta Neo Decadriver instead.

While there’s nothing more concrete to go on than that, the popular consensus is that we could be seeing the Destroyer of Worlds return to destroy our wallets once more. Time will tell if this is anything more than just a tease, and if it is, we’ll be sure to let you know!

A prodigy driven by loyalty to his family, and to his duty to defeat the Makamou, Izumi fully abandoned his human identity and fully became the Oni of the Izumi family, Kamen Rider Ibuki! After nay years of waiting, this master Oni of Breath arrives blow away any Makamou that stand in his path. For the first time ever, Ibuki makes his debut in the S.H. Figuarts line as a Shinkocchou Seihou!

Kamen Rider Hibiki finally joined the S.H. Figuarts line for the first time over 4 years ago, as only the 2nd Shinkocchou Seihou release, which set the bar fairly high at the time. After a long wait Hibiki’s secondary rider has arrived, so what can you expect? Well Ibuki shares the same physical body as Hibiki, just with new cosmetic changes to the armor. Decked out with brass styled pipes mimicking the Ongekikan Reppuu instrument he uses to destroy Makamou. Much like Hibiki this figure is packed down with accessories including his transformation whistle Onibue, and 3 disc animals. It’s really the full package.

“Flame, Please.”

Haruto Soma was the only survivor of a dark Solar Eclipse ritual which saw the creation of a legion of monsters known as Phantoms. Assuming the likeness and identities of those humans they emerged from, Phantom’s invade the world of humans and use magic to wreak havoc. Only one man can stop them, the one who faced despair head on in the light of the eclipse and emerged to gain the power of magic from his hope. Haruto Soma became Kamen Rider Wizard!

FINALLY, after languishing for 6 years with one of the worst S.H. Figuarts ever made, the Shinkocchou Seihou renewal line has finally tackled the rider of hope! Kamen Rider Wizard Flame Style is possibly one of the most stunning and astounding figuarts I’ve ever handled. A magnificent recreation of a dynamic suit design, this stylish figure is everything that Wizard fans have ever wanted. Interchangeable Wizard Rings, a multi-mode WizardSwordGun, and fully poseable Wizard Robes(!), make this one of the nicest Seihou releases to date. “Luna/Trigger!”

Toku Toy Box continues on and it’s time we return to a windy city called Fuuto, to revisit everyone’s favorite half-boild detective! When Shotaro Hidari & Philip combine their minds they become one as Kamen Rider W! But when the situation calls for something else, new Gaia Memories give W the edge he (they?) needs to take on the Museum’s Dopants. Using the Luna & Trigger Memories, Kamen Rider W Luna/Trigger is formed!

The Shinkocchou Seihou line up of premium S.H. Figuarts renewals has been giving fans the long awaited do-overs they’ve requested for over 4 years now. Kamen Rider W Cyclone/Joker was perhaps one of the best figures to come out of this renewed line, though many many good figure’s have since as well. But that mold has proven to be near perfect in any of the various ways it’s been released. Luna/Trigger is just yet another amazing use of the Seihou W mold. If you know anything about this body type at all, you know you’re going to love this figure as well.

As if the announcement of S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Kiva wasn’t enough to get you excited, Bandai had one more surprise in store as well! We knew of this item being displayed at the Tamashii Nations 2018 event, but weren’t able to see it because of the annual photo ban on certain items. Now, via SHFindo, we have our very first look at the S.H. Figuarts Machine Kivaa & Parts Set!

Kivaa is of course Kivaa’s stylish personal Rider Machine, and hot on the heels of Kiva’s own announcement, this is pretty exciting. Better still, it looks as though Bandai will be including the iconic Bloody Rose violin as well as the chair/throne Kiva is commonly seen seated in during the OP and in promotional material. While there are no confirmed release details for this set as of yet, one has to assume Bandai would be working on it with the Kiva hype at an all time high.

Tamashii Nations 2018 is currently happening from today until October 28th. As always this event brings us a smattering of new reveals, many which may or may not ever see the light of day again afterwards. It’s become a bit of a game in recent years to figure just what won’t be released. Kamen Rider Hibiki releases have been making their way out much more quickly this year. Just released in September was Kamen Rider Ibuki, we’ve got Todoroki coming up in January 2019, and now we can confirm the release of S.H. Figuarts Shinkocchou Seihou Kamen Rider Zanki in May 2019!

Joining the other Oni of Hibiki, Zanki is another excellent recreation of a gorgeous suit from the series. Zanki includes alternate parts for his Henshin Kigen Onka, 3 disc animals, several sets of hands as well as his trademark Ongekigen Retsurai guitar weapon.

S.H. Figuarts Shinkocchou Seihou Kamen Rider Zanki will be released in May 2019 for 7020 yen as a Tamashii Web Exclusive. Be sure to get in touch with your preferred middleman or service to secure an order.

The next issue of Figure Oh has just been teased with a censored cover. With the cover feature being the next S.H. Figuarts reveal for the Heisei Riders Rising Project.

While we’ve been let down many times before, the timing, secrecy, the unseen 20th Rider Kicks ride watch stage that was teased, the massive build up of anticipation, and frankly what is clearly the moon on the background of this cover, would imply that this could very well be the long awaited Kamen Rider Kiva.

There has been no confirmation of this figure’s identity yet, and this is purely speculation based. Your guess will be as good as ours, but our money is on Kiva. Confirmation one way or the other will be made officially on 10/24, when this cover is finally revealed in full.

“A-MA-ZOOOOOONNNNNNNNNN!”

7 years ago, the original S.H. Figuarts Amazon was released, we reviewed it in 2016. Looking back now, that Amazon is an extremely dated figure. Even though for it’s time it was a fantastic addition to any collection, today Bandai spoils us with so much more. Just released this month is the long awaited modern update for Amazon, S.H. Figuarts Shinkocchou Seihou Kamen Rider Amazon!

The Shinkocchou Seihou subline has thus far been excellent, there’s no way to diminish how truly wonderful it’s been. But Amazon really ratchets things up. This is by far my favorite release in the line thus far, and one that really goes the distance to recreating the suit and character to near perfect detail. An excellent looking figure at the very least, Amazon also has a wealth of articulation that the original figuart lacked. While it may lack something in the accessories department, there’s no doubt that this is the definitive figure of Kamen Rider Amazon!
