Power Rangers Lightning Collection Mighty Morphin Yellow Ranger Gallery

Posted on May 28, 2020 at 9:18 pm by Den-O under Power Rangers, TokuNation, TokuNation Site Updates, TokuNation Spotlights

“We’re the Power Rangers!”

When 5 teenagers with attitude were chosen to defend the Earth, each of them was given access to a universe of power. Transported to the Command Center, and introduced to the quirky robot Alpha 5 & the inter-dimensional being Zordon of Eltar, these young heroes were bestowed with the strength of the ancient dinosaurs. Fearless and agile, Trini Kwan was honored with the powers of the mighty Saber-Toothed Tiger Dino Zord! Power Daggers in hand, Trini joined her teammates as they battled the likes of Goldar, Scorpina, and the evil sorceress Rita Repulsa!

Hasbro continues checking off the list of the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers with another Lightning Collection release! The Mighty Morphin Yellow Ranger joins a slew of her teammates in various forms rounding out Wave 4 of the series as well. Joining the likes of Zeo Ranger III Blue, the Cyber Villain Blaze, & the SPD Red Ranger. So how does Trini Kwan stack up to the rest of the original team? Well she includes the now standard unmasked head, doubles up on effect parts, has both her Power Daggers, and a Blade Blaster! Read on, to our full thread for an in-depth review of this figure.

Click “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post to view the full 50+ image gallery and read through our full review. Now that Wave 4 is out of the way and we’re still on the hunt for Wave 5, we’re taking a turn back into Kamen Rider with a run of galleries from Build, Zi-O, & Zero-One!

Power Rangers Lightning Collection Zeo Ranger III Blue Gallery

Posted on May 19, 2020 at 2:34 pm by Den-O under Power Rangers, TokuNation, TokuNation Site Updates, TokuNation Spotlights

“Zeo Ranger Three – Blue!”

Rocky DeSantos was a Power Ranger. And not just any ranger, but the Mighty Morphin Red Ranger! Inheriting a legacy of power from Jason Lee Scott, Rocky helped defend Angel Grove and the world from the likes of Lord Zedd & Rita Repulsa. But as the Machine Empire descended toward Earth, the Command Center lay in ruins. And the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, were destroyed. But unknown to our heroes, Alpha 5 & Zordon have spent years preparing for this time. A day when the Power Rangers as we know them, are gone forever, and a new fighting force must take their place. The Power Rangers Zeo! Imbued with the energy of the Blue Zeo Crystal, Rocky once again heeds the call to defend Earth, but this time as Zeo Ranger III, BLUE!

The Blue Zeo Ranger is the 2nd Power Rangers Zeo entry in Hasbro’s Lightning Collection lineup, soon to be following by a second outing of the Gold Ranger as Trey of Triforia. Rocky utilizes the same base mold as the Gold Ranger save for some accent changes. A solidly built figure, the Blue Ranger release also includes the Zeo Laser Pistol, the Zeo Power Pod Sword, an effect part for it, 2 extra hands, and an unmasked Rocky head. All in all a pretty great release, though it does have a few design caveats to dive into.

You can read our complete review and view the entire gallery of 40 images of the Lightning Collection Blue Zeo Ranger after the jump by clicking “Discuss on the TokuNaiton Forums” at the bottom of this post. We’ll be back shortly with a Mighty Morphin gallery of the Lightning Collection Yellow Ranger as well!

Ganbareiwa!! Robocon 2020 Film, Trademark Information

Posted on May 18, 2020 at 1:47 pm by Den-O under General Tokusatsu News, Metal Heroes

Back on April 1st, the tokusatsu world was pretty stunned by the announcement that Toei was reviving a character that hadn’t been seen in nearly 20 years. Robocon! The star of two previous TV series Ganabare!! Robocon & Moero!! Robocon, is returning for a brand new film adventure titled Ganbareiwa!! Robocon.

Met with some healthy skepticism that the project could actually be real, it was confirmed fully only a few days later. But today, further information of what to expect from this project has come courtesy of an official trademark from April 21st for the film (via @Trademark_bot), which includes its use in branding for a variety of merchandise including toys, dolls, & games etc.

There’s absolutely no question that this film be released on July 31st, and now we know it’s bringing along with it a resurgence of Robocon merchandise. Let the speculation of just what this odd entry in the Robocon franchise could be about, begin! Could this be another generational meeting of the various Robocon? Or a true reboot entirely? Time will tell, and we’ll be sure to tell you as more information surfaces.
