“Pterodactyl!

Like any teenager, Kimberly Hart used to be concerned with trivial things. But when an inter-dimensional being summoned her and her friends to defend the Earth from a recently freed ancient sorceress, that went out the window. Pterodactyl power coin in hand, Kimblery morphs into the Mighty Morphin Pink Ranger! Kim fought the forces of evil for years until she found a worthy successor to her power. But her legacy still lives on in the generations of rangers who have come since. This morphinominal heroine at last joins (most of) her teammates in the Power Rangers Lightning Collection!

The Pink Ranger is the first new Mighty Morphin ranger mold we’ve gotten in the line so far. Previously we’ve seen 3 outings of the male MMPR body type with Dragon Shield parts and recently even the more basic Red Ranger release. So Pink Ranger really is refreshing to see for a change of pace. With some new design choices and articulation cuts, it’s a bit different affair to the boys, in a good way. Armed with the Blade Blaster, Power Bow, and two different arrows, the Pink Ranger is ready to take out the Putties in your collection!

Kamen Ride! Wow! Decade! Decade! Decaaaaaade!

With Tsukasa Kadoya’s arrival, the world is always in danger. The Destroyer of Worlds has witnessed or instigated the destruction of many, for better or worse. And allying himself with the Time Jackers raises many questions. But entrusting his power to Sougo, raises even more. Decade Ridewatch in hand, Zi-O will don the Decade Armor to face both Kamen Rider Decade, as well as Ohma Zi-O! Will the power of the 10th Heisei Rider be enough, or will Sougo have to take some of the power of Ohma for his own, just to survive?

Joining the Zi-O line up of S.H. Figuarts, Decade Armor gives us our 4th Sougo in the line. And although I’ve yet to handle Zi-O II, each is just unique enough from the last to give it a slightly different feel and personality. While much of this mold is engineered similarly to previous outings, this one is more or less all new. Armed with the Ride Heisaber, this powered up form may make a great addition to your Zi-O collection.

Once again it’s the time of year that the community and our staff love most – time for all of us to celebrate our respective holidays & traditions with the friends and loved ones we hold dear. But it’s also time for TokuNation.com to celebrate itself. Our little community is hitting another milestone this year, our 8 year anniversary!! January 4th 2020, will officially mark 8 years since TokuNation first went public as part of the network of TFW2005.COM, ToyArk.com, HissTank.com and of course our newest sister site PWRRNGR.com, through both network owner Tony_Bacala and our founder and original Editor-In-Chief, TokuChris.

For 8 years now we’ve posted news, rumors, toy galleries, videos, and even dabbled in podcasts for a bit (never forget Talkin Toku!). As times have changed we’ve done our best to change with them, delivering you content in different ways, covering new and exciting topics, and trying to improve our social outreach. But he one true constant that’s been with us since our first year, that you can expect every year? The annual Toku Toy Box giveaway!

Like years’ past, TokuNation is hosting an annual holiday giveaway open to ALL registered users! You’ll recall that in years’ past giveaways, users could post in a selection of galleries within the contest period to automatically be entered into the drawing for several prizes. Like last years giveaway, not only will we be posting a number of eligible galleries throughout the month of December, but every gallery we’ve posted in 2019 also makes you eligible! If you’ve already posted in the 1 of the over 40 galleries we’ve produced this year, then you’re already entered. If not, you already have over 40 chances with more on the way this month! “Now then… about that new power…”

In the world we know, when Rita Repula’s evil spell was broken, the Green Ranger joined the side of good. The prophecy fulfilled, the earth was defended by all 6 Power Rangers! But in another time, Tommy Oliver sought to control his Earth. Conquering it right alongside Rita, the two and their armies destroyed all remaining good in the world. Stopping Jason just short of becoming the White Ranger, Tommy killed his one time fried and took the power for his own. Forcing the White & Green Ranger’s power coins together, Tommy created an unstoppable power. Taking on as his own the name of Rita’s former protege, Tommy was reborn as Lord Drakkon!

The smash hit character of Boom! Studios Mighty Morphin Power Rangers comics finally arrives in the Lightning Collection line! Lord Drakkon has been a figure many hoped would find it’s way to this line quickly. So it’s crazy to think that it was only revealed least month and now it’s already hitting store shelves. Another excellent addition to the line, Lord Drakkon is primarily built off of the MMPR White Ranger mold, though it’s armed with Drakkon’s own ornate armor. Complimented by his own Dragon Dagger, Lord Drakkon is ready to conquer your Lightning Collection.

But in another time Kamen Rider Zi-O was a hero. And even though that young Sougo is still on the path to becoming Ohma, can he change fate? Destined to have the powers of the demon king, and with the fate of all worlds in the balance, will Sougo destroy time itself? Or will he choose to rebuild everything? The day of Ohma is here!

S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Ohma Zi-O is another gorgeous addition to the Zi-O subline. While primarily a retread of the Zi-O/Geiz mold, for this outing the body is decked out in opulent gold paint and lavish sculpted details. This is a stunning piece to add to your Zi-O collection, even if the accessory count is rather low. Ohma is armed with 3 sets of hands as well as the Ryuki, Kiva, & Kuuga Ridewatches. The overlord of your collection arrives in this gallery!

As revealed by @ForTheGridFans on twitter, the characters of the Street Fighter universe are making their return to Power Rangers Legacy Wars!

You my recall that in their last collaboration that the characters Ryu, Chun-Li, and Akuma made their way to the Power Rangers universe. And that Ryu in particular was gifted the abilities of a Power Ranger, suiting up as the Ryu Ranger! With the trio’s return to the popular Power Rangers fighting game, Ryu won’t be the only one with the power protecting him either. This go around Chun-Li will also don a suit a the Blazing Phoenix Ranger!

While nWay, the company behind Legacy Wars & Battle For The Grid, has yet to officially make this announcement, this is another pretty  astounding crossover for the Power Rangers. When the official announcement comes, most definitely accompanied by a video of Chun-Li in action, we’ll be sure to continue our reporting.

There’s been some (alot) of debate and speculation in recent weeks regarding the exact Makeup of Hasbro’s Power Rangers Lightning Collection Wave 4. Multiple site listings, statements from Hasbro as well as it’s reps at cons, and leaked information have led to some degree of confusion about what to expect from the wave.

The biggest mystery has been wether or not this would indeed be a 4 figure wave as previous leaks had shown. Thankfully we now know for certain, because of confirmation from the Official Power Rangers Twitter that there will indeed be a 4th figure. And given previous store listings that have confirmed the last 2 waves, it’s all but certain this figure will be the Mighty Morphin Yellow Ranger. Though which Yellow Ranger is currently up for speculation.

This tweet also provided new official images of the 3 previously revealed figures of wave 4; Beast Morphers Blaze, Zeo Ranger III Blue, and the SPD Red Ranger. The significance here is that these images fully breakdown the accessories for each figure. And it’s looking like so far Blaze will be the clear winner in that department. We are expecting the 4th and fina figure of this wave to be revealed very soon. Only just revealed at the 2019 Manga Barcelona Con, Power Rangers Lighting Collection Wave 4 images have just been officially released by our friends at Hasbro.  Contrary to original rumors and speculation, this will indeed be a 3 figure wave, with no MMPR Yellow Ranger in sight for now. As is Wave 4 will consist of:

– Zeo Ranger III Blue Ranger
– SPD Red Ranger
– Beast Morphers Cybervillain Blaze

We first saw the Blue Zeo Ranger last week, but these Hi-Res images of both the SPD Red Ranger & Blaze are brand new. Lightning Collection Wave 4 is slated for a Fall 2020 release.

“This isn’t what I expected when I woke up this morning.”

A hero by chance, Devon Daniels steps up to defend the Morphin Grid from Evox! Bonded with cheetah DNA and imbued with Morph-X energy, a Red Ranger with beast morphin might rises! The Lightning Collection from Hasbro has continued to move along at a pretty brisk pace, and now we’re taking some time to break down one of the most recent release with Wave 2’s very own Beast Morphers Red Ranger! 

The Beast Morphers Red Ranger is another welcome addition to this line, not only for Power Rangers Beast Morphers fans, but also for those long time fans of Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters. In a line full of winners, this Red Ranger pulls double duty not only being a great toy, but honestly a really serviceable replacement for aging S.H. Figuarts Red Busters as well. Armed with the Cheetah Beast Blaster & Beast-X Saber (and an effect part to match), the Beast Morphers Red Ranger will and some power and style to any collection.

Mill Creek Entertainment has recently been rocking the Tokusatsu world with their incredibly stylish Blu-Ray releases of Tsuburaya’s Ultraman library. With Ultra Q, Ultraman, & the impending releases (on November 19th) of Ultraman Orb & Ultraman Geed, Mill Creek has already made a huge chunk of media available officially to English speaking audiences.

While the Mill Creek Geed & Orb Blu-Ray sets include both the TV series and the related film for each, there’s also going to be a slightly cheaper option for collectors. Releasing exclusively at Walmart stores in the US, will be standalone Blu-Ray (with Digital) releases of the Ultraman Geed & Orb movies. Each will retail on it’s own for $12.98, whereas the Full TV series + movie sets retail for $39.98 each. Both Film Blu-Rays can ordered currently through the Walmart website here (Orb, Geed) and will be available in stores as well.
