This reinterpretation of the Heisei era MechaGodzilla is based on poster artwork for the film Godzilla vs MechaGodzilla II, sporting an alternate body as well as a brand new wing-pack. S.H. Monsterarts Shin Godzilla 2016 2nd & 3rd Forms Revealed

Posted on August 25, 2016 at 12:07 am by Den-O under Godzilla

We’ve known for quite some time that the Shin Godzilla film (or as it’s known in the west Godzilla Resurgence) would feature a creature with mutating forms and abilities. But it wasn’t until last month, when images of vinyls for some of these forms surfaced, that we had any idea what they’d look like. Now thanks to a pair of Figure Oh magazine scans hosted over at Steven’s Toy Blog, we have our first looks at S.H. MonsterArts Shin Godzilla’s 2nd & 3rd Forms!

These seemingly diminutive and oddly colored forms look like very different interpretations of Godzilla than we’ve ever seen. Both are very squat and plump, one featuring a mostly beige color scheme while the others’ red coloration seems to be influenced by the “Poster Art Version” of the 2014 Godzilla Monsterarts figure.

What do you think of these bizarre new forms for the 2016 Godzilla? Right now there’s no concrete release information for either of them, but would you be interested in picking such unique forms up? Let us know in the discussion thread below.

Toei has opened an official website announcing a new GODZILLA anime project!

This new feature will be written by Gentaro Urobuchi, who most fans will probably recognize as the mind behind Kamen Rider Gaim! Currently, the Godzilla anime is scheduled for a release in 2017! Stay tuned to TokuNation for further details.

New Godzilla Anime in the Works?

Posted on August 5, 2016 at 12:06 am by Kiryu under Godzilla

Toho just registered a rather curious domain name; listed as Godzilla-Anime.com. A Godzilla anime could be in the works, but there’s not a whole lot of info to go on at the moment so unfortunately we don’t know if the project will be an OVA, movie, series, or somehow tied to the Neon Genesis Evangelion cross promotion that’s been going on as of late.

Godzilla’s first anime appearance was in a crossover episode with the Crayon Shin Chan series, prior to that was the 1998 Animated series which aired on Fox Kids well over 17 years ago!

Stay tuned and we’ll be sure to bring you more up to date information as soon as it becomes avalaible.
