Power Rangers Super Samurai 4″ Red Ranger Shogun Mode Gallery

Posted on March 27, 2014 at 6:27 pm by Chris under Power Rangers

The ultimate form for Jayden the Red Ranger of the Power Rangers Samurai/Super Samurai was the powerful Shogun Mode.  With this mode, he was able to defeat the evil Master Xandred once and for all!  And thanks to TokuNation.com photo staff member conundrum, we have a special gallery for you to celebrate that final mode and that final battle of Power Rangers Super Samurai!

Clocking in with 17 points of articulation and a nifty crimson paint job, the Shogun Mode Red Ranger figure is a pretty slick looking figure!  It even comes with the Bullzooka and the Mega Blade, which with this toy, can combine to form the Shogun Spear.  To check out all the images of this great looking figure, simply click here or on the “Discussion” link at the bottom of this news post.

Go Go Samurai!  Please share your thoughts on this figure!  We should also note – the Red Samurai Power Ranger is in Round 3 of Morphin Madness squaring off against the popular Titanium Ranger!  Who has your vote?

Power Morphicon Round Up – New Guests and Austin St. John

Posted on March 27, 2014 at 5:34 pm by Chris under Conventions, Power Morphicon, Power Rangers

Hey fans of Power Rangers!  If you’re in to conventions, you need to make sure you head to this year’s official Power Rangers convention, Power Morphicon!  Held this year at the Pasadena Convention Center on August 22nd through the 24th, it is the SUPER MEGA place to get your Ranger-on with the largest gathering of past and current Power Rangers actors, as well as actors from other American tokusatsu series like VR Troopers, Masked Rider, and Kamen Rider Dragon Knight!  This year is going to blow all the other years out of the water with the announcement of the following Power Rangers!

  • Austin St. John (the original Red Mighty Morphin Power Ranger and the Gold Zeo Power Ranger)
  • Matt Mullins (Wing Knight on Kamen Rider Dragon Knight)
  • Monica May (the Yellow SPD Power Ranger)
  • Kevin Duhaney (the Blue Dino Thunder Power Ranger)
  • Jeff Parazzo (the White Dino Thunder Power Ranger)
  • Alyson Kiperman (the Yellow Wild Force Power Ranger)

With those additions you will have a Power Ranger from almost every single season of Power Rangers!  Even more awesome, with the addition of Monica May, fans of Power Rangers SPD will be super-excited to know that the entire core cast of SPD Power Rangers is now in attendance to appear!  There are also a ton of behind-the-scenes guests, like writers, directors, and members of the stunt team.  But the biggest announcement, without a doubt, is the return of Austin St. John who has been out of the fandom for a few years now.  What a perfect time to get your S.H. Figuarts Red Mighty Morphin Power Ranger signed!  Or in my case, a Power Rangers Super Legends Gold Zeo Ranger!

If you haven’t yet registered, there’s still time to do so.  Just go to www.officialpowermorphicon.com and follow the links to get yourself registered.  We hope to see you at the show!  GO GO POWER RANGERS!

Godzilla Pack of Destruction Video Review by baltmatrix

Posted on March 27, 2014 at 2:53 pm by Chris under Godzilla

One of the most anticipated movies of this year is the upcoming Godzilla movie. Recently, the first wave of the toy line was released and site contributor and good friend of ours baltmatrix decided to splurge on most of the first wave of toys. And when he buys toys, he sits down and records himself playing with them. Today, he shows us a video of the relatively small package of the Godzilla Pack of Destruction set, which features a small Godzilla figure, a city ripe for destroying, and a really small, tasty-looking jet. Check out the video below!

Don’t forget to subscribe to baltmatrix’s video channel so you can stay up to date on all his video reviews. This set looks to be a fun, affordable set for collectors and kids alike. And I’m already eyeing the destructible city to make some fun dioramas … and if that’s what you’re really looking for, you still get a neat little looking Godzilla figure out of it! Join in the discussion and share your thoughts!

Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue Titanium Laser Gallery

Posted on March 25, 2014 at 11:08 pm by Den-O under Power Rangers

It’s time for another Titanium Powered gallery here at TokuNation!

Just to remind you, everyone’s favorite Power Rangers are fighting it out in Saban’s Morphin Madness competition! And the one and only Titanium Ranger is still going strong in this free for all competition! We’re currently at round 3 which means we’re almost to the end!  If he wins, he along with 4 other winning rangers will receive a special edition Ranger Key! With the competition becoming more and more fierce, the hosts of Talkin Toku, along with some very special guests from the Power Rangers fandom, are teaming up to bring you a very special Talkin Toku Podcast Morphin Madness Promo, to release very soon! Watch for it! And before you take a look at this gallery in honor of him, be sure to head over to Morphin Madness and cast a vote for Titanium Ranger!

Today we want to take a look at something just as unique and original as Titanium Ranger himself, and that’s his personal weapon; the Titanium Laser! This deluxe scale weapon is a child sized version of the one used by Ryan Mitchell in Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue. And it actually replicates both the Laser (blaster)  & Resuce (axe) modes pretty darn accurately. Featuring it’s own light and sound gimmick  as well, this toy was an abitious original production by Bandai of America. Check out the full gallery of the Titanium Laser after the jump by clicking “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post.

And once again I’d like to remind you where your number one stop and shop for vintage Power Rangers collectibles is, it’s RangerStop.com! The Titanium Laser used for this gallery was purchased from them for a fantastic price. Definitely check them out if you’re looking for hard to find ranger collectibles, and don’t forget the upcoming  2nd Annual Ranger Stop Superhero Toy & Comic Con in Orlando FL, November 7th-9th!

To show your support for Titanium Ranger be sure to check out 2 previous galleries of ours. The DX Titanium Morpher by conundrum and the Light & Sound Titanium Ranger by me!

Godzilla Destruction City Set Gallery by conundrum

Posted on March 24, 2014 at 5:23 pm by Den-O under Godzilla

TokuNation is back to another look at the initial offerings from Bandai’s Godzilla 2014 toyline! Today Photo & Content contributor conundrum has been kind enough to share images of the Godzilla Destruction City Set!

This set let’s you build, and then obviously destroy, your own scale generic city. Included are not 1 but 2 monsters for your destructive pleasure as well. The titular Godzilla of course, and the other creature we’ve seen rumor and speculation of for months, Muto!

So, would you like to build a tiny city and destroy it all at your leisure? Click “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post to see conundrum’s full gallery of the set and decide for yourself! And don’t forget that Godzilla destroys theaters May 16th!

Powers Rangers Turbo Shifter Phantom Ranger Gallery

Posted on March 20, 2014 at 10:45 pm by Den-O under Power Rangers

Shift into Turbo!

It’s time for another vintaqe ranger gallery! This time we’re taking a trip down memory lane with Power Rangers Turbo and the Turbo Shifter Phantom Ranger figure! Based on VRV Master from Gekisou Sentai Carranger, Phantom Ranger has a much more significant role than his original counterpart. An ally to both the Turbo and In Space rangers he quested across the galaxy to find Zordon, fought the Alliance of evil, and all the while provided the rangers with new zords! VRV Master was much more of a support type character and as such when the time came for Gokaiger’s 35th sentai anniversary season, he was not counted among the sentai teams nor even 6th rangers or extra heroes, and thus a ranger key was never made for him.

But we can change that! Saban’s Morphin Madness is still ongoing and while Phantom Ranger has made it to round 2, it’s up to you the fans to make sure he makes it all the way to the end! The 5 winning rangers of the Morphin Madness bracket will in fact be turned into limited edition Ranger Keys! This bracket would appear to be the ONLY chance for the Titanium Ranger & Phantom Ranger to ever make it into key form! So check out our full gallery of Turbo Shifter Phantom Ranger by clicking “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post, then head over to Morphin Madness and cast your vote for Phantom Ranger!

I should also mention that once again, this vintage piece of Power Rangers history was provided by the awesome people at Ranger Stop! If you’re looking for vintage and collectible Power Rangers merchandise they are your #1 stop! Head over to their site and check out their selection, and don’t forget the upcoming  2nd Annual Ranger Stop Superhero Toy & Comic Con in Orlando FL, November 7th-9th!

BigBadToyStore.Com Pre-Order Alert – Legacy Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Megazord

Posted on March 19, 2014 at 6:02 pm by Chris under Power Rangers

Our site sponsor BigBadToyStore.com fired off an update earlier today letting everyone know they have the previously released yet incredibly hard to find Legacy Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Megazord available for pre-order. The price is higher than it was at retail – but they do state that these were acquired from an aftermarket seller and not through actual distribution channels. That means that they paid a higher price to get these items, and thus, have to charge a higher price when selling them.

With the Legacy Dragonzord arriving in the next month or so, the prices for your Legacy Megazords are going to continue to go up – it’s hard to find one on eBay for anything less than $150 at the moment. So why not check out BigBadToyStore.com and order yourself both the Legacy Megazord and Legacy Dragonzord and just save yourself the hassel?

– Legacy Megazord
– Legacy Dragonzord

Don’t forget to check them out for a number of other tokusatsu related items, both in stock now and available for pre-order, including some of the harder to find Tamashii Web Exclusive items … like S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Bravo!

Atomic Roar Godzilla Gallery

Posted on March 18, 2014 at 11:36 pm by Den-O under Godzilla

Numerous reports have come in just in the last 2 weeks that Godzilla 2014 toys are finally hitting store shelves ahead of the films May 16th release date. As it happens I wound up being one of the lucky people to stumble across an Atomic Roar Godzilla today!

This figure of course features the iconic roar and Atomic Breath of the king of monsters. Though it may seem like a simple figure at first glance, it does a great job of conveying the detail of this new iteration of Godzilla. And honestly it’s a great and affordable representation of the character. For it’s price point it’s definitely worth a look.

Check out the entire gallery of the figure, and a short video of it’s electronic feature, by clicking “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post!
