S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Brain Gallery

Posted on March 29, 2020 at 11:10 am by Den-O under Kamen Rider, TokuNation, TokuNation Site Updates, TokuNation Spotlights

“Even if I’m weak on my own, I must defeat you!”

The evil organization MU wants to rewrite the world! Filling their ranks with revived brainwashed villains of Kamen Rider’s past, their army grows each time they force Professor Crystal Peppler to perform this task. Subvertong their goals, Professor Peppler has revived the weakest looking Kaijin he could think of, Brain, the Roidmude! But secretly, he knows one thing, how much Brain despises people like those in MU. Those his master Heart would hate most. Mirroring the rebirth of Takeshi Hongo as the first Kamen Rider, Brain the Roidmude must become Brain the Kamen Rider!

It’s been a wild ride for the characters of Kamen Rider Drive eh? Nearly 5 years after the end of the series and one of it’s villains has been redeemed as his own hero in a 2 part mini series, and even gotten to make a cameo in the Zi-O film Over Quartzer! Even more surprising, Kamen Rider Brain has gotten the S.H. Figuarts treatment! A luxurious repaint & remold of the Drive Type Speed mold, Brain manages to elevate the mold to a new level. Draped in new techy detailing and capes to boot, Brain comes armed with a weapon borrowed from Kamen Rider Ghost, the Brain Eyeglass Blade!

You can check out our full 80 image gallery & review of S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Brain in the thread linked below. Just click “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post to be taken to the full thread. We’ll be back next time to count the medals 1 2 & 3, anything goes, it’s coming up Shinkocchou Seihou OOO!

S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Evol, Phase 1 2 3 Set Gallery

Posted on March 23, 2020 at 7:14 pm by Den-O under Kamen Rider, TokuNation, TokuNation Site Updates, TokuNation Spotlights

“I could use a warm up actually.”

The Evol Driver. The weapon which the alien menace Evolt used to destroy Mars. A scheme that has taken over 20 years to repair and retrieve it, has finally paid off. Shedding the skin of his Blood Stalk persona, the Pandora Box is within Kamen Rider Evol’s grasp! But can the heroes of Earth and the Rider System outlast that which they were created from? Can the Kamen Riders defeat this eternal evil? Or will they only serve to make him stronger

Kamen Rider Evol is an absolutely delicious release. I was in love with this suit design when it debuted in show, and I adore it in figure form. Evol’s standard Phase 1 Cobra Form is by far the most stylish but it’s certainly tough to beat the other two forms as well. Forgoing much in the way of standard accessories other than hands, Evol instead includes all the extra parts needed to recreate his Phase 2 & Phase 3 forms, Dragon & Rabbit! A genius way to release all 3 forms at once, Tamashii Nations have outdone themselves with this delightfully wonderful villain.

We’ve attached a massive 90+ images to this post for your viewing pleasure. You can check all of them out as well as the extensive review for S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Evol in the thread linked below. Just click “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” to be be taken to the complete thread. We’ll be back soon with a gallery from Kamen Rider Drive!

Soul of Chogokin GX-33R Leopardon Revealed

Posted on March 22, 2020 at 9:31 am by ZeoRangerV under General Tokusatsu News

Change, Leopardon!

What would a Toei Spider-Man release be without his trusty giant robot to go with it? Lo and behold, Soul of Chogokin Leopardon will be reissued alongside the Figuarts release, bearing a brand new GX-33R designation and a rather interesting accessory.

Rather than the vinyl figure that was included with the original release, this version of Leopardon will instead include a full-sized Spider Bracelet that plays BGM from the show! Such a great extra doesn’t come cheap though, with this reissue due for release in September and priced 20,000 yen.

“I, am number one.”

In a surprise reveal/confirmation, Tamashii Nations has just announced the release of S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Metal Build! Not just alternate hands like Build Hazard included, but also the Kaizoku & Ressha Bottles and Lock & Dragon bottles, as well as heads to match them AND the signature weapons for each form! The Beat Crosser & Pirate Hashyar! The best part about these alternate bottles heads and weapons, is that they can accessorize your original Build Hazard Form!

S.H. Figuarts Shinkocchou Seihou Kamen Rider Hibiki Kurenai Release Details

Posted on February 20, 2020 at 8:53 pm by Den-O under Kamen Rider

After a brief teaser of this release earlier in the week, Tamashii Nations has fully revealed and confirmed release details for S.H. Figuarts Shinkocchou Seihou Kamen Rider Hibiki Kurenai!

It’s been a few months since a new figure from Kamen Rider Hibiki has been announced or released, the last couple being Zanki and Todoroki. So it’s refreshing to see this long overdue form finally make it’s debut in the Seihou line. Since Hibiki’s release in the line 6 years ago, it’s been hoped by fans that the difficult to procure mold would see re-release in this gorgeous form.

Now we can expect to see it finally Kamen Rider Hibiki Kurenai release this July for 7150 yen!

S.H. Figuarts Ultraman Taro Gallery

Posted on January 31, 2020 at 3:42 pm by Den-O under TokuNation, TokuNation Site Updates, TokuNation Spotlights, Ultraman

“Precious friends, fight together with me!”

7 years after Earth first encountered the giant of light Ultraman, Ultraman Taro arrived! Taking the human Kotaro Higashi as his host, Taro fought against legions of Kaiju as they invaded the Earth. And for years since, Taro has fought hard and earned the respect of his peers. Mentoring new generations of heroes at the Ultra Coliseum, Taro also went on to instruct and guide the likes of Mebius & Ginga. This Master fighter has lived a long and hard fought life, but that didn’t stop him from settling down either. Passing his skills down to yet another generation, Taro instills the hope & power of the land of light in his son, Ultraman Taiga!

Recently we had a chance to review both S.H. Figuarts Ultraman Ginga, and the Ultraman Suit Ver 7 thanks to our good friends at Bluefin Brands. Now they’ve treated us to something a bit more classic with S.H. Figuarts Ultraman Taro! Hailing from the 6th Ultra series which bears his name, many a fan of the New Generation Ultras will recognize Taro from his time mentoring Ginga. This figure will appeal to any fan of the character though. Recereating his timeless appearance and updating his articulation to modern standards, SHF Taro will stand tall with your other heroes. Armed with the mighty Bracelet Lancer, Taro also includes the iconic Storium Ray effect part for all of your Kaiju destroying needs!

We’ve packed a full 50+ image gallery into the review thread linked below. Just click “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post to see the entire thread for S.H. Figuarts Ultraman Taro. Next time, we’re finally rounding out our reviews of Power Rangers Lighting Collection Wave 3 with the Mighty Morphin Red Ranger!
