“We’re the Power Rangers!”

When 5 teenagers with attitude were chosen to defend the Earth, each of them was given access to a universe of power. Transported to the Command Center, and introduced to the quirky robot Alpha 5 & the inter-dimensional being Zordon of Eltar, these young heroes were bestowed with the strength of the ancient dinosaurs. Fearless and agile, Trini Kwan was honored with the powers of the mighty Saber-Toothed Tiger Dino Zord! Power Daggers in hand, Trini joined her teammates as they battled the likes of Goldar, Scorpina, and the evil sorceress Rita Repulsa!

Hasbro continues checking off the list of the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers with another Lightning Collection release! The Mighty Morphin Yellow Ranger joins a slew of her teammates in various forms rounding out Wave 4 of the series as well. Joining the likes of Zeo Ranger III Blue, the Cyber Villain Blaze, & the SPD Red Ranger. So how does Trini Kwan stack up to the rest of the original team? Well she includes the now standard unmasked head, doubles up on effect parts, has both her Power Daggers, and a Blade Blaster! Read on, to our full thread for an in-depth review of this figure.

“Zeo Ranger Three – Blue!”

Rocky DeSantos was a Power Ranger. And not just any ranger, but the Mighty Morphin Red Ranger! Inheriting a legacy of power from Jason Lee Scott, Rocky helped defend Angel Grove and the world from the likes of Lord Zedd & Rita Repulsa. But as the Machine Empire descended toward Earth, the Command Center lay in ruins. And the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, were destroyed. But unknown to our heroes, Alpha 5 & Zordon have spent years preparing for this time. A day when the Power Rangers as we know them, are gone forever, and a new fighting force must take their place. The Power Rangers Zeo! Imbued with the energy of the Blue Zeo Crystal, Rocky once again heeds the call to defend Earth, but this time as Zeo Ranger III, BLUE!

The Blue Zeo Ranger is the 2nd Power Rangers Zeo entry in Hasbro’s Lightning Collection lineup, soon to be following by a second outing of the Gold Ranger as Trey of Triforia. Rocky utilizes the same base mold as the Gold Ranger save for some accent changes. A solidly built figure, the Blue Ranger release also includes the Zeo Laser Pistol, the Zeo Power Pod Sword, an effect part for it, 2 extra hands, and an unmasked Rocky head. All in all a pretty great release, though it does have a few design caveats to dive into.

“Hey rookies, meet my new friends.”

Blaze was meant to be a hero, a Power Ranger! Trained by Grid Battleforce with his teammates Roxy & Ravi, Blaze was chosen to become the Red Ranger. But on the day the team should have formed, fate and Evox, intervened. Taking the essence of Blaze and his abilities, Evox has created an Avatar of the would be hero, a new Cyber Villain general to lead his armies of Tronics & Robotrons! Now what began as a simple grudge between the original Blaze & Devon Daniels has morphed into something else entirely, as the would be ranger turned avatar battles the man who’s taken his place, the new Red Ranger……

Blaze joins the ever growing Power Rangers Lightning Collection as one of a handful of evil rangers in the line. An excellent addition, Blaze brings with him an intricately detailed sculpt with all the articulation hallmarks we’ve come to expect from this line, as well as a ton of accessories. Blaze is armed with extra hands, both his sword & an effect part for it and even the Robotron-Maker briefcase/laptop, but also includes an alternate unmasked head featuring a brilliant likeness of Blaze actor Colby Strong! As far as villains go, Blaze may be the best one in the line yet.

Hasbro has at last announced the proper name for their next season of Power Rangers!

Season 28 of the legendary franchise will officially be known as Power Rangers: Dino Fury! This season, as previously reported, will be an adaptation of the Super Sentai series Kishiryu Sentai RyuSoulger.

A brief plot outline for the new series has also been released:

When an army of powerful alien beings is unleashed on Earth threatening life as we know it, a brand-new team of Power Rangers, fueled by the pre-historic power of the dinosaurs, are recruited to deal with the threat!

Power Rangers: Dino Fury will begin airing on Nickelodeon in 2021! Stay tuned to TokuNation for further updates on this new entry in Power Rangers history!

A plethora of new items have just been revealed from Hasbro detailing the future of the Power Rangers Lightning Collection!

The new Lightning entries include:

*A Putty Patrol two-pack! This set features both iconic foot soldiers with a wide assortment of weapons. Preorders are OPEN NOW with an estimated release date of August 10 2020 at a modest price of $29.99!

*The Psycho Green Ranger! BOOM! Studios’ legendary villain is recreated in exquisite detail. Preorder NOW for an estimated release on July 15 2020!

*The previously-reported Zordon & Alpha 5 two-pack! This set will be a Walmart exclusive, release is currently scheduled for September 2020 with a price of $29.99.

And last but not least is a bold new direction for the collection- the Lightning Morpher! Containing all five Power Coins plus a variety of light & sound effects, the Morpher will also be exclusive to Walmart- at a price of $49.99 USD.

All in all a good day for Lightning Collection fans!

TV-Asahi has announced a hiatus of sorts for the Super Hero Time programming block- which currently consists of Mashin Sentai Kiramager and Kamen Rider Zero-One.

This hiatus is due to the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak and the extended state of emergency in Japan.

For the next three weeks, alternative episodes will air in place of the usual Super Hero Time lineup-

*Kamen Rider Zero-One will release a two-part Presidents Special recapping the events of the series from Kamen Rider Zero-Ones’ perspective, followed by a Shooting Special shot from Kamen Rider Vulcan’s point of view.

*Mashin Sentai Kiramager will air the Episode ZERO special originally released in theaters, followed by Directors’ Cut revamps of the series’ first two episodes.

An exact return date for Super Sentai & Kamen Rider has not been confirmed at time of writing. Stay tuned to TokuNation for further details on this unique situation!

It’s been 8 years since the events with the Inves, since Kouta Kazuraba left Earth. As these proto-riders battle, and Takatora struggles to regain his memories, scheming characters from his past have their own goals. Has Takatora truly changed? Can he escape his past? Will the true Kamen Rider Zangetsu take the stage once more?

Kamen Rider Zangetsu Kachidoki Arms is a brilliant release from Tamashii Nations. Taking the now 6 year old Gaim Kachidoki Arms mold and giving it a fresh color pallet and some new parts, Tamashii has managed to create a fitting final form for the elder Kureshima brother. Armed with the Kachidoki Flags & DJ Gun Taiken Mode, this figure will be a commanding presence in any collection. And if you happen to have the other Zangetsu releases on hand, you’ll see just how perfectly this form fits in with the family.

Bad news for import collectors-

JapanPost has announced that all EMS and AirMail shipments to the United States will be suspended beginning April 24, 2020 due to ongoing COVID-19 concerns. SAL shipments were previously suspended for the same reason.

Any shipments sent out via EMS prior to the suspension will likely experience delays.

We encourage everyone to remain safe & healthy in these trying times, and we look forward to the return of normal shipping processes.

“You can see the future… But I can go beyond it.”

The Day of Ohma. The day when Zi-O would assume all his powers and rule the world, in one future. In another, Sougo Tokiwa gave up his Ziku Driver and another Kamen Rider, Geiz, would rise up to save the world. In a world where time has seemingly stopped, the True Savior was born. Now, as prophesied by White Woz, the Geiz of the present is headed towards a fateful battle with Zi-O. With the powers of the future in hand, Myokoin Geiz becomes Kamen Rider Geiz Revive!

Goretsu! Shippu! Continuing a recent trend from Tamashii Nations, the True Savior Set for Geiz Revive comes equipped with the parts necessary to recreate either of his powerful forms. By default we have Goretsu, the bulky power based form armed with the Zican Jaclaw in it’s saw form. A beast of a form with all the bulk to back up it’s blows. With some pretty easy parts swapping though you can assemble the stunning blue Shippu form. This speed based flight capable form is armed with a new form for the Jaclaw as well and it’s, a claw! Both forms have their merits but I’m happy to report that either is actually very well thought out and designed. Thankfully Tamashii is getting better and better at form swapping with S.H. Figuarts.
