Hot on the heels of the release of the Power Rangers Dino Supercharge Roar DVD comes an announcement for the next installment in the DVD collection for Power Rangers Dino Supercharge – Power Rangers Dino Supercharge Extinction. This new DVD collects the final 10 episodes of Power Rangers Dino Supercharge. Check out the trailer below.

Power Rangers Dino Supercharge Extinction will release on DVD March 7th, 2017. Digital HD and On Demand releases will be broken up – Episodes 6-11 will release on March 7th, while the final 5 episodes will release on Digital HD and On Demand on April 4th. Great news Power Rangers Dino Supercharge fans – the DVD collection “ROAR” has officially been released today on DVD and digital download! To celebrate the release of the DVD, Lionsgate has an activity for you and your kids to take part in while watching the DVD – a piece to color, some tic tac toe games, a crossword puzzle, and a maze!

Bandai’s announced the first obligatory Legend Rider item for Kamen Rider Ex-Aid with a pre order page having gone up for the DX Heisei Legend Rider Gashat set.

  • The set will contain Gashats for the following Riders from the Heisei Era:

    Kuuga

  • Agito
  • Ryuki
  • Blade
  • Hibiki
  • Kabuto
  • Den-O
    Kiva
    Decade

Of course, each Gashat will work with the Gamer Driver itself having a unique tune for each Rider in addition to being compatible with Ganbarizing arcade machines. The set will cost 16,200 yen(approximately 1500 yen per Gashat), pre orders will begin tomorrow: Tuesday January 10 2017 and will be shipping February 6 2017.

It’s Meowphin Time!

After months of speculation, Power Rangers finally has a new trailer that answers the age old question: what would’ve happened had Zordon picked a team of five felines with “cattidute” instead of teenagers to fight Rita Repulsa and the forces of evil?

The result is the Mighty Morphin Meower Rangers web series which will be making it’s debut tomorrow Tuesday January 10 2017 on the Official Power Rangers youtube channel, in the meantime a teaser has been released which can be seen in the box below:

The very first official teaser for the 41st Super Sentai Series has been posted online!

This is our best look yet at the heroes of Uchu Sentai KyuRanger!

While no new details are revealed, this promo offers a detailed look at the KyuRanger suits and the unique details given to all nine new heroes.

Uchu Sentai KyuRanger will begin on February 12, 2017! Stay tuned to TokuNation as we keep you up to date on all KyuRanger News!

This news comes not from an announcement by Shout! Factory as you might expect, but rather by way of an early Amazon pre-order page. User Storm Eagle over at our good friends Rangerboard, was the appropriately eagle-eyed fan who discovered the pre-order for a Gekisou Sentai Carranger Complete Series DVD Set!

According to the Amazon listing Carranger will be released on April 25th and consists of 8 discs with a run time of 1020 minutes. No other specific release information has been made available as of this writing. We’ll be sure to keep you updated on this surprise reveal!

A new preview has been uploaded at Nick.Com showing off the first episode of Power Rangers Ninja Steel!

This is our first look at the Ninja Steel universe, as we learn more about the soon-to-be Red Ranger Brody, his partner Redbot and the evil General Ripcon.

As a sidenote, this preview also highlights the return of longtime Power Ranger actor Kelson Henderson to the franchise! Henderson performed numerous supporting roles throughout the Disney Era of the series.

During these 5 years with Tokunation, it has become evident that there is a high demand for certain character figures to be made. As we wait until they are created, some people take it upon themselves to make their own versions. These various customs have made fans happy while we patiently wait for official products. Due to the joy brought by these customs, site admin and customizer KamenRiderOOO has taken it upon himself to learn a little more about the people who create such amazing pieces of work. Every month, we shall interview a different customizing artist in our brand new feature- Customs Corner! (Big thanks to site friend trekkieb47 for his work on the logo!)

This month’s focus is considered one of the greatest customizers around. From his work with various custom Super Sentai/Power Rangers Figuarts to his new prop-making work, this person is well-known for his masterpieces and an inspiration for those who are entering the field themselves. His most popular piece is also a favorite of site owner Kickback and also the character he takes his username from. The customizer we focus on this month,  is none other than King Ranger.

Just over 1 month ago TokuNation.Com began the countdown to January 4th 2017, to mark our official 5 year anniversary!  Check out the lovely commemoration of the day written up by our own Kickback. And as with every year to honor our anniversary, we hosted the massive Toku Toy Box giveaway! What a fun and interesting journey it has been.

Five years ago today (January 4th 2012) TokuNation was opened. Following in the footsteps of two of our sister sites, TFW2005.com and ToyArk.com, we sought to become a destination website for news and galleries for your favorite tokusatsu properties. But there’s always more to the story than a simple tagline so sit down and we’ll tell you a tale…

Nearly six years ago I came up with the idea for TokuNation. I approached our network owner, the infamous Tony Bacala, with my proposal and after some back and forth I was given the green-light but only if I had a staff in place. So for months I scoured the Internet (and TFW2005.com forums) looking for individuals that had a passion for not just Power Rangers, but also Kamen Rider, Super Sentai, Godzilla, and more obscure tokustasu franchises. After some time, a staff was put together and the site began to take shape.

Since the site launched we’ve covered every major United States convention that featured official Power Rangers merchandise and show-information (San Diego Comic Con, New York Comic Con, Toy Fair, Power Morphicon). We’ve been blessed to meet and speak with numerous entities involved with Power Rangers (the casts of Power Rangers Super Megaforce, Power Rangers Dino Charge, Executive Producer Chip Lynn, countless former Power Rangers actors and voice actors). We’ve been recognized by Saban Brands, TOEI, Bandai America, Bandai Japan, Tamashii Nations, BOOM! Studios, Lionsgate, and Legendary Pictures. Pretty sure PaperCutZ recognized us too but not for the best of reasons (thanks Den-O!). We’ve also been recognized by a few law firms (again, thanks Den-O!).

But most importantly of all – we’ve been recognized by YOU. For five years now a group of friends have worked long hours on a volunteer basis to bring you news, information, and galleries of all things tokusatsu. And it’s because of YOU, the viewers/readers/followers that continue to come to the site or reach out to us on social media, that we continue to do this. Today we will announce the winners of our annual Toku Toy Box giveaway where four lucky individuals will take home potentially HUNDREDS of dollars in free collectibles. We do that every year as a way to say THANK YOU for giving us a reason and the motivation to continue doing what we do. We love to do it and we hope to continue to grow it year after year. We’re only here today because of you.

Today we will also launch three new giveaways – on our Facebook page, our Twitter account (@TokuNation), and our Instagram account (@TokuNation). Be sure to follow them so you can enter for a chance to win even more free stuff!

I also want to tip my hat and thank the staff that have been with us in the past and have moved on in their lives – we got here because of you and we will continue to grow because of what you contributed. Thanks also to the boss man (Tony Bacala), the best damn guy behind the scenes you’ll never meet (Joe Moore), and everyone who has given us motivation or praise for what we’ve done.

The first 5 years have been a blast. We cannot wait to see where the next 5 years take us. Be sure to stay tuned – the amount of stuff we have in store for this year alone will blow you away! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
