S.H.Figuarts Ultraman Rosso Wind and Ultraman Blu Ground Pre Order Info

Posted on August 10, 2018 at 11:41 am by Kiryu under Ultraman

In case you missed it, Bandai announced that a quadruple whammy of Ultraman R/B S.H.Figuarts figures were coming our way. Since the initial announcement, the official product page for Ultraman R/B  was recently updated with release info for S.H.Figuarts Ultraman Rosso Wind and Ultraman Blu Ground.

Both forms will see a May 2019 release for 5400 yen. Thanks to some data mining from TendouToys via Twitter, we can confirm that S.H.Figuarts Ultraman Rosso Wind will, in fact, be a Tamashii web exclusive release with pre-orders beginning later in August.

While it wasn’t confirmed, we can only assume that the same announcement will be made for S.H.Figuarts Ultraman Blu Ground as well. Be sure to stay tuned to Tokunation, and we’ll bring you all the latest updates as they’re made available. In the meantime, enjoy this preview teaser that went up on Tamashii Nation’s official youtube page:

Legacy Psycho Black and Dino Thunder Yellow Coming – Massive Figure Restock?

Posted on August 9, 2018 at 12:19 pm by Chris under Power Rangers

Fans of the Legacy Power Rangers toys are well aware of the massive restock coming this winter to online retailers of all the older Legacy roleplay items and Megazords. Today, GameStop has added even more upcoming items to their systems for older Legacy Power Rangers figures including the yet-to-be-released Legacy Psycho Black and Legacy Dino Thunder Yellow figures.

You’re looking at a restock of all seven Mighty Morphin Power Rangers figures, all five Metallic Mighty Morphin Power Rangers figures, all five Dino Thunder figures, and all five In Space figures.

Nick Hurst posted in the Facebook Group “The Ranger Store” pictures of the GameStop computer systems showing all the upcoming listings. The new figures are listed below.  They are not labeled as exclusives so the chance they end up at other retailers is there.  The figures and their item numbers are below.

  • Legacy Psycho Black – 177084
  • Legacy Dino Thunder Yellow – 177096

The remainder of the new listings of older figures with their items is below.

  • Legacy Dino Thunder Black – 177090
  • Legacy Dino Thunder Blue – 177094
  • Legacy Dino Thunder Red – 177092
  • Legacy MMPR Black Ranger (BAF) – 177002
  • Legacy MMPR Yellow Ranger (BAF) – 177022
  • Legacy MMPR Pink Ranger (BAF) – 177028
  • Legacy MMPR Red Ranger (BAF) – 177018
  • Legacy MMPR White Ranger (BAF) – 177025
  • Legacy MMPR Green Ranger (BAF) – 177016
  • Legacy MMPR Black Ranger (Metallic) – 177030
  • Legacy MMPR Blue Ranger (Metallic) – 177066
  • Legacy MMPR Pink Ranger (Metallic) – 177072
  • Legacy MMPR Red Ranger (Metallic) – 177032
  • Legacy MMPR Yellow Ranger (Metallic) – 177068
  • Legacy Psycho Red Red Ranger – 177086
  • Legacy Psycho Blue Ranger – 177088
  • Legacy In Space Black Ranger – 177074
  • Legacy In Space Blue Ranger – 177078
  • Legacy In Space Pink Ranger – 177082
  • Legacy In Space Red Ranger – 177076
  • Legacy In Space Yellow Ranger – 177080

There is currently no ETA on when these will be released but our assumption is sometime this winter if not very early in 2019. It is important to note that just because these items are listed in the system does NOT mean that they will be releasing, only that the manufacturer has solicited the items to retailers in preparation to begin taking orders for fulfillment.

With no listing for Psycho Pink or Psycho Yellow, the fears that those figures never made it past the early prototype stage before Bandai America pulled the plug are beginning to rise. Our fingers are crossed that they show up eventually, sometime, in someone’s system. But with the clock ticking until Hasbro’s official release date of product, the chances are growing slimmer.

Special thanks to @liladam87 for helping compile all the information!

S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Cross-Z Charge Gallery

Posted on August 9, 2018 at 9:26 am by Den-O under Kamen Rider, TokuNation, TokuNation Site Updates, TokuNation Spotlights

“Dragon in Cross-Z Charge!”

Having finally discovered his reason to fight, Ryuga Banjou took on the most dangerous driver to face the Hokuto Three. Using the Sclash Driver Banjou’s already tremendous strength overflowed from his new rampaging form. Fueled by the Dragon Sclash Jelly, Banjou’s power finally runs wild in our gallery of S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Cross-Z Charge!

Following up from our gallery of the standard Kamen Rider Cross-Z last month, Cross-Z Charge is an entirely new mold. Decked out in a really gorgeous silver paint scheme, this figure is also adorned by some frankly perfect translucent blue plastic. An already excellent looking figure in hand, Cross-Z Charge also includes his Twin Breaker weapon, capable of changing from Beam to Attack Mode very easily. The re-packed Cross-Z Dragon and Dragon Full Bottle as well as a removable Sclash Jelly, all of which can interact with the Twin Breaker, also make this a really fantastic release.

Check out the complete 65 image gallery of Cross-Z Charge after the jump by clicking “Discss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post. We’re bringing another SDCC 2018 Exclusive gallery your way next!

Hasbro to Develop Follow-Up to 2017 Power Rangers Movie

Posted on August 8, 2018 at 3:21 pm by Den-O under Power Rangers, Power Rangers Movie

Hasbro recently held it’s latest Investor’s Report and of course a big focus going forward will be their recently acquired Power Rangers brand. As stated by CEO Brian Goldner:

Hasbro’s licensing plans for Power Rangers will resemble the playbook used for Transformers and My Little Pony, featuring a “very robust” line of products “coming from a number of different partners,”

Of specific note to the Power Rangers brand though, is this line in the report:

Power Rangers’ will generate an operating profit similar to Hasbro’s other franchise brands and has a “significant opportunity for growth given where the brand had been most recently,” Goldner said. Hasbro will work with a film studio to develop a new Power Rangers movie as a follow-up to the 2017 release.

Now, this certainly seems to be worded to imply that an actual sequel to the 2017 film is in the works. While that certainly could be the case as a kind “soft reboot” Brian Goldner’s statement is just vague enough to imply it could be a film that is a follow up in franchise terms rather than a narrative one. What are your thoughts on this matter? Could we actually be seeing a direct sequel with the same designs and cast? What would that mean for the distribution rights held by Lionsgate and other parties from the last film? We’ll be keeping tabs on this as it develops, and we’ll be sure to keep you up to date as it does!

Names Revealed for Beast Bots in Power Rangers Beast Morphers Calendar

Posted on August 8, 2018 at 2:55 pm by Den-O under Power Rangers

As we get closer and closer to the 2019 premiere of Power Rangers Beast Morphers, our first hint of merchandise for the show has also been revealed. Thanks to a listing that’s gone up on Calendars.com we have our first look at officially licensed artwork for the Beast Morphers 2019 Calendar!

Though the images are a bit small, they give us our first real look at the series is being marketed. The biggest deal about this calendar though is that it confirms the names of the three Beast Bots! These Bots are of course the Power Rangers equivalents of the Buddyroids from Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters, the series Beast Morphers is adapted from:

  • The Red Ranger’s partner is Cruise the jaguar (Cheeda Nick in Go-Busters)
  • The Blue Ranger’s partner is Smash the gorilla (Gorisaki Banana in Go-Busters)
  • The Yellow Ranger’s partner is Jax the Rabbit (Usada Lettuce in Go-Busters)

This listing was originally discovered by @Chaotix12345 on twitter. As the year progresses we expect to get more reveals of merchandise like this with licensed artwork for the show. If you come across any such links/items/etc, drop us a line!
