It’s been a long and arduous fight from start to finish, but Saban Brands and Bandai of America’s Morphin Madness has come to an end! Despite a few hurdles along the way, the final 5 rangers as voted on by the fans have been revealed. The 5 winning rangers, who will be made into a limited edition Ranger Key Set for 5 lucky individuals to receive are:

  • Power Rangers Turbo Phantom Ranger
  • Mighty Morphin Power Rangers White Ranger
  • Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Red Ranger
  • Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue Titanium Ranger
  • Power Rangers Time Force Pink Ranger

Congratulations to these 5 Legendary Rangers and the actors who played each of them for making it to the final round! Bandai has yet to announce the 5 winning fans who will receive the limited Morphin Madness Ranger Key Set along with the 24K Gold Plated Legendary Morpher, but keep checking their website for updates!

For those who don’t know the very humble Kerrigan Mehan is the legendary voice behind Mighty Morphin Power Rangers flying ape of doom, Goldar! Astute fans may also know him as the voice of the original Magna Defender from Power Rangers Lost galaxy AND Jeb the dog from VR Troopers!

Well today Mr Mehan took some time out of his busy convention schedule, including a recent appearance at the Lexington Comic & toy Con, to share a video simply titled Goldar & Me. This fun video shows Mr Mehan and “Goldar” hanging out at home as well as sending out a challenge, to the original Red Ranger! Austin St. John will be making a return to the fandom and convention circuit with Florida Supercon after being over seas for some time, and it looks like Goldar is ready for a rematch!

With all the drama the last week, this is a real feel good story for fans of Power Rangers. If you grew up watching Mighty Morphin Power Rangers then you should know who Austin St. John is – he played Jason, the Mighty Morphin Red Power Ranger. After leaving halfway through season 2, he returned in Power Rangers Zeo as the new 6th Ranger, the Gold Ranger. He hasn’t been public with the Power Rangers fan community for a number of years but his Official Facebook Page recently announced his return – and now he’s coming back to the Official Power Morphicon Convention this August. His message was put on YouTube and can be seen below.

We would like to welcome Austin St. John back to the Power Rangers community, especially at a time when the fan community needed it the most. Hey fans of Power Rangers!  If you’re in to conventions, you need to make sure you head to this year’s official Power Rangers convention, Power Morphicon!  Held this year at the Pasadena Convention Center on August 22nd through the 24th, it is the SUPER MEGA place to get your Ranger-on with the largest gathering of past and current Power Rangers actors, as well as actors from other American tokusatsu series like VR Troopers, Masked Rider, and Kamen Rider Dragon Knight!  This year is going to blow all the other years out of the water with the announcement of the following Power Rangers!

  • Austin St. John (the original Red Mighty Morphin Power Ranger and the Gold Zeo Power Ranger)
  • Matt Mullins (Wing Knight on Kamen Rider Dragon Knight)
  • Monica May (the Yellow SPD Power Ranger)
  • Kevin Duhaney (the Blue Dino Thunder Power Ranger)
  • Jeff Parazzo (the White Dino Thunder Power Ranger)
  • Alyson Kiperman (the Yellow Wild Force Power Ranger)

With those additions you will have a Power Ranger from almost every single season of Power Rangers!  Even more awesome, with the addition of Monica May, fans of Power Rangers SPD will be super-excited to know that the entire core cast of SPD Power Rangers is now in attendance to appear!  There are also a ton of behind-the-scenes guests, like writers, directors, and members of the stunt team.  But the biggest announcement, without a doubt, is the return of Austin St. John who has been out of the fandom for a few years now.  What a perfect time to get your S.H. Figuarts Red Mighty Morphin Power Ranger signed!  Or in my case, a Power Rangers Super Legends Gold Zeo Ranger!

On the heels of this year’s LexCon, arguably the most popular Power Ranger of all time, Jason David Frank who played the Green Ranger and White Ranger in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, the Red Ranger in both Power Rangers Zeo and Power Rangers Turbo, as well as the Black Ranger in Power Rangers Dino Thunder, has released the second episode of his self-created reality show titled My Morphin Life.  The video is below.

This episode features what many of us have come to known as convention burnout and convention hangover, where the crowds and the excitement literally drain every bit of energy from your body.  Follow Jason David Frank as he attempts to survive LexCon 2013.  This video features interviews with other former Power Rangers about Jason David Frank, including Walter Jones, Blake Foster (who is credited as his character’s name instead of his actual name), Catherine Sutherland, Karan Ashley, and the always lovable Jason Narvy.  Click on the discussion link to share your thoughts about the episode!

For the third year running, the Lexington Comic & Toy Convention returns to Kentucky! If you haven’t heard of the show by now it’s quickly become THE east coast convention for Power Rangers actors! As the one big show that Kentucky has each year LexCon draws in attendance from all over the region with last years numbers surpassing 10,000! This convention will run from Friday March 14th- Sunday March 16th at Heritage Hall, Rupp Arena Convention Center. If you can make it to the show trust me, it is worth your while. If you’re a fan of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers then you might be interested to know that Jason David Frank, who played Tommy Oliver the Green Ranger and White Ranger in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers has released the first episode of his documentary My Morphin Life through the popular YouTube channel BatInTheSun. The video is shown below. If you’re hoping for some cool behind-the-scenes Power Rangers footage, you’ll be sad to see that there is none. And there looks to be none in the next episode. This series looks to be, for the moment, strictly about the man behind the helmet, Jason David Frank.

NOTE! If you only see a black screen with audio, change the video’s resolution settings, then switch it back to what you want. This will fix the problem immediately.

Former Power Rangers stunt coordinator Jeff Pruitt has put up another production video from the filming of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers’ second season in Japan- a collection of footage generally referred to by fans as “Zyu2.”

While there is no sound, this video gives us great detail on the Zyu2 era footage and even includes a number of shots that went unused by Saban!

The Bandai UK Facebook Page has put up some excellent preview images of the upcoming Legacy Dragonzord!

This mini-gallery gives us our first side-by-side comparison with the original Dragonzord mold as well as shots with all Dragonzord combinations using both the ’93 molds AND the Legacy molds!

Legacy Dragonzord should be on its way to store shelves VERY soon! Keep a lookout for this fantastic piece of Power Rangers history!
