S.H.Figuarts Winspector Bikel and Walter Release Teased

Posted on September 25, 2015 at 11:12 am by Den-O under Metal Heroes

With the upcoming release of S.H.Figuarts Fire from Tokkei Winspector coming up in January, it’s only fitting that Bandai would tease release details for S.H.Figuarts Winspector Bikel and Walter as the perfect follow up!

The pair were teased in a recent Figure Oh magazine scan but details on exact price and whether the 2 will be packed int a 2-pack or not are a bit scarce. Originally the entire Winspector trio were shown off at Tamashii Summer Collection back in May. Stayed tuned to Tokunation, we’ll bring more updates on this release as it becomes available.

Tokkei Winspector: S.H. Figuarts Fire Full Official Images Released

Posted on August 28, 2015 at 8:51 am by Den-O under Metal Heroes

Last week Bandai was kind enough to give us a taste of what was to come for S.H. Figuarts Fire, the leader of the Metal Hero team Tokkei Winspector. And today they’ve finally seen fit to release a full selection of official images for this upcoming figure!

As speculated and confirmed  by this images Fire includes his Maxcalibur arm blade as well as his Daytric M2 handgun in both pistol form & baton/holster form, as well as 3 sets of hands and features a movable visor! This figure is currently set to be the first Metal hero figuart ever released at normal retail, rather than being a Web Exclusive.

S.H. Figuarts Fire will retail for 6480 yen and will be released in January. Expect pre-orders for this figure to hit major online retailers  September 1st!

Tokkei Winspector: S.H. Figuarts Fire Official Image Selection Released

Posted on August 21, 2015 at 3:26 am by Den-O under Metal Heroes

Confirmed for release only hours ago, now thanks to the usual Tamashii Pickup post for new reveals we have a selection of official images for S.H. Figuarts Fire from Tokkei Winspector!

S.H. Figuarts Fire is looking incredibly sharp in these official images, though so far we only have a limited number to go on. They do at least confirm the inclusion of Fire’s Maxcalibur arm blade as well as his Daytric M2 handgun in both pistol form & baton/holster form.

S.H. Figuarts Fire is set to be release in January 2016 for 6480 yen and has the unique honor of being the first S.H. Figuart Metal Hero that has been released at normal retail rather than as a web exclusive.

Tokkei Winspector: S.H. Figuarts Fire Release Details!

Posted on August 20, 2015 at 11:55 pm by Den-O under Metal Heroes

In yet another surprise turn of events thanks to Figure Oh Magazine scans we’ve just been alerted to the release of another figure recently shown off as a prototype at Tamashii Summer Collection! From the classic Metal Hero series Tokkei Winspector, we can finally confirm release details for S.H. Figaurts Fire!

Fire, also known by his civilian name Ryoma, is the leader of the Winspector trio and as such it’s fitting that Fire should be released first. However even more fitting is that this figure will be a standard retail release! Fire looks to at least include his Daytric M2 pistol and his massive Maxcalibur arm blade & also appears to feature a working visor! No word yet on wether Fire may include his other signature weapon the Gigastreamer or his Fire Badge but we’ll keep you on top of all the information related to this release.

S.H. Figaurts Fire will be released at retail in January for 6480 yen!

S.H. Figuarts Winspector Ryoma, Walter, & Bichael at Tamashii Summer Collection

Posted on May 29, 2015 at 10:29 am by Den-O under Metal Heroes

Mayday, mayday, SOS!

Continuing what has become a hot streak of Metal Hero related products from Bandai recently is a trio that’s sure to excite many fans! Revealed today at the Tamashii Nations Summer Collection show is the trio of heroes from Tokkei Winspector! S.H. Figuarts Ryoma, Walter, & Bichael look absolutely magnificent. With this trio Bandai continues to narrow the gap of Metal Heroes they’ve yet to release!

In a bit of awesome coincidence something else related to this trio happened this week you may not have been aware of. A new fansub group, Weeaboo Shogun has arrived on the scene with a magnificent show that has never been subbed before, Tokkei Winspector! They’ve already released the first 2 episodes off the series with links to download on their blog, I very much encourage you to check them out.

This is probably one of the more amazing coincidences that could have happened, and for me personally it’s a double whammy of a dream come true.

Classic Tokusatsu Series Headed to Netflix Brazil!

Posted on May 25, 2015 at 10:09 pm by Den-O under Kamen Rider, Metal Heroes, Super Sentai

In an odd bit of news it appears that a selection of classic Japanese tokusatsu will be headed to Netflix! In Brazil.

According to Jbox[/URL] the following shows will made available with at least subs and possible portugese dubs on Brazillian Netflix courtesy of the Sato Company!

Dengeki Sentai Changeman
Choushinsei Flashman
Kamen Rider Black
National Kid
Kidou Keiji Jiban
Sekai Ninja Sen Jiraiya
Kyojuu Tokusou Juspion

Japanese-Brazilian entrepreneur Nelson Sato, who imported such things as the Cybercop franchise to Brazil in the 1990’s, orchestrated this deal with Toei after his company released the above series on DVD previously (aside from Kamen Rider Black). An exact date for when these shows will be added to instant streaming on Netflix Brazil hasn’t been announced yet but another press release is incoming from Sato Company regarding these series and several others!

Juukou B-Fighter S.H. Figuarts Blue Beet Gallery

Posted on February 16, 2015 at 9:35 pm by Den-O under General Tokusatsu News, Metal Heroes

Juukou!

We’re back! Did you miss us? After our New York Toy Fair coverage we thought it was time to give the citizens of TokuNation a treat. Today we’re taking a look at a brand new Tamashii Web Exclusive release familiar to both Western & Japanese tokusatsu fans alike. S.H. Figuarts Blue Beet from Juukou B-Fighter! And 90’s Saban Era fans will undoubtedly recognize this figure as the Blue Stinger Beetleborg from Big Bad Beetleborgs!

Blue Beet is one of the more intricately detailed Figuarts you’ll own for sure. An incredible representation of an elaborate suit, Blue beet really captures the presence of his on screen counterpart. Some articulation issues not withstanding, this figure nails the look. Not to mention a bevy of really well done accessories too. Blue Beet comes with the standard side arm of the B-Fighters the Input Magnum,  3 sets of extra hands, as well as his signature Stinger Blade. Of course it also includes parts necessary to transform it into the Stinger Drill too!

Honestly S.H. Figuarts Blue Beet is a fantastic figure. While I’m not impressed with the articulation given to him it’s certainly one of the better looking figuarts I own. I’m even more excited for the upcoming G-Stag, Reddle, & Black Beet than I was before. If you want to be as well then I suggest checking out our complete 80 image gallery of Blue Beet by clicking “Discuss on the TokuNation forums” at the bottom of this post!

VR Troopers Battle Grid Ryan Steele Gallery – Toku Toy Box Entry!

Posted on December 31, 2014 at 1:22 am by Den-O under Contests and Giveaways, General Tokusatsu News, Metal Heroes, TokuNation

TokuNation is ready to present a truly retro gallery for Toku Toy Box, today we’re looking at Battle Grid Ryan Steele from VR Troopers!

This unique form is the byproduct of needing the troopers to interact more on screen & source footage exhaustion. Since VR Troopers used footage from both Metalder & Spielban for it’s first season the characters were rarely seen transformed together. Battle Grid footage allowed all 3 troopers to actually appear on screen simultaneously and fight. The Battle Grid suits themselves were simple spandex with padding, each with a Mighty Morphin Red Ranger helmet repainted to match. Though cheap and very cheesy the Ryan Steele Battle Grid suit actually makes for a pretty fun, albeit very 90’s, figure. Armed to the teeth with more weapons than he ever needed (or  had!) this figure is a fun bit of nostalgia.

Check out 40 images of this classic from VR Troopers after the jump. And of course leave a comment in the discussion thread as well! That will qualify you for a chance to win our Monolithic Monsters Prize Pack as a part of Toku Toy Box! Full details as well as prize pack breakdowns for this giveaway are posted here.
