S.H. Figuarts Shinkocchou Seihou Kamen Rider Beast Teaser

Posted on June 8, 2019 at 9:17 pm by Den-O under Kamen Rider

In a Figuarts Blog update Bandai is showing off the upcoming Machine Kivaa & chair set to go with Shinkocchou Seihou Kamen Rider Kiva. This blog post runs the spectrum of various Figuarts taking Kiva’s throne for a spin. From vintage riders like the original Gattack release along with Sasword, all the way to releases of recent years like Kivala and even Kuroto Dan.

However one surprise in this set of photos is the very first official teaser for Shinkocchou Seihou Kamen Rider Beast! Sitting upon Kiva’s chair and flanked by Seihou Wizard, Beast looks every bit as impressive as Wizard himself. A brand new mold featuring all of the same modern engineering that the Seihou line has come to be known for. No release details have been revealed yet, but it’s only a matter of time before we hear more about this possible release.

S.H. Figuarts Shinkocchou Seihou Kamen Rider Todoroki Gallery

Posted on June 5, 2019 at 2:39 pm by Den-O under Kamen Rider, TokuNation, TokuNation Site Updates, TokuNation Spotlights

“I just can’t see myself replacing you, Zanki.”

Kamen Rider Hibiki finally joined the S.H. Figuarts line over 4 years ago. Then last year, Tamashii finally made their second addition from Hibiki’s world to this line with Kamen Rider Ibuki. And while the Oni Riders have been slow to appear in the Shinkocchou Seihou line, it looks like things are gaining momentum now! With an upcoming release for Kamen Rider Zanki on the way, we’re taking today to look at his recently released apprentice and partner, Kamen Rider Todoroki!

Todoroki is yet another insanely gorgeous Oni to add to your collection. The Hibiki mold has some minor shortcomings still, but it’s undeniable the kind of shelf presence that each successive use of it brings to the table. Todoroki like his predecessors is armed with 3 Disc Animals but more importantly the massive Ongekigen Retsurai. This incredibly ornate guitar weapon is probably one of my favorite accessories in a long time. When combined with Todoroki’s Ongekishin Raigou and with the blades extended, this is a weapon for any villain to fear!

We’ve attached the full 75+ image gallery to this post but you can also read through our full review of Shinkocchou Seihou Todoroki by clicking “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post. Next time, we’ll revisit the world of games and medicine with a gallery of Kamen Rider Poppy!

First Generic Teaser for Kamen Rider Zero-One Revealed

Posted on June 5, 2019 at 10:08 am by Den-O under Kamen Rider

You may recall that around this time last year, we were all awaiting the first images of Kamen Rider Zi-O. When the first teaser silhouette did eventually surface, it was of a very generic variety. A featureless rounded silhouette that gave nothing away. It would seem now that, this type of initial teaser may become the standard, as it’s being used once again for initial Kamen Rider Zero-One solicits.

The image that’s circulating now features the sound rounded featureless generic design. And given that Zero-One will be the first Reiwa Rider, some secrecy around his finalized design is to be expected. So there’s no real information to be gleaned from this solicit. Other than that, this catalog image does confirm the collectible gimmick for this year as the “Insert Card”.

As more information becomes available for Kamen Rider Zero-One we’ll be sure to update you. Given the time of year it is, it’s only a matter of time before both the gimmick for the series and the finalized design of Zero-One leak online. This initial image came via the Candy Toy Sentai CTS Facebook page.

Power Rangers Beast Morphers Beast Jet & Beast Wrecker Zords Revealed

Posted on June 5, 2019 at 9:45 am by Den-O under Power Rangers

Thanks to a pair of new listings posted on Toywiz we have our first looks at two as of yet unannounced new items for Power Rangers Beast Morphers. Both Zords are of the “Converting” variety. So these are the combining zords meant to go along with the upcoming Beast-X Megazord components!

First up we have the Silver Ranger’s Beast Jet Zord! Luckily for this one, Toywiz does have an official description:“Imagine calling on the power of the Beast Jet Converting Zord and battling the Power Rangers’ toughest foes. Convert from robotic Scarab Mode, ready for a fight, to Jet Mode, ready to fly to the next place Zord power is needed. And, combined with Beast Racer Converting Zord, Beast Wheeler Converting Zord, Beast Wrecker Converting Zord and Beast Chopper Converting Zord (Each sold separately. Subject to availability.), kids can assemble the Beast- X Ultrazord to imagine taking on even more powerful foes. Go Go Power Rangers!” The listed price via Toywiz is $29.99and the figure is expected to ship in September.

Next, we have the Gold Ranger’s Beast Wrecker Zord! While the Toywiz listing doesn’t have an official description yet, it’s apparent what we’re getting from this release. This Beetle Based zord converts from insect to mechanical crane truck mode and can also combine with the Beast Wrecker or be used with the other 4 Zords to create the Beast-X Ultrazord! This Zord is also listed at $29.99 with a September release.

When a proper description arrives for the Beast Wrecker Zord we’ll be sure to update this story. Hopefully the reveal of these two zords also means that official images of the Beast-X Ultrazord won’t be far behind either.

Our good friend @MisturYellow on twitter originally discovered these listings.

Months after the SSSS.Gridman series finale, can this massive collector’s set live up to the hype? We’re working on a full gallery of these big bots ourselves. But for the time being, the first video review of these figure’s has been posted by the one and only Wotakufighter!

This is a pretty hefty breakdown and video review so it’s actually split into two parts, and clocks in at a combined hour of video. Check em out below!

S.H. Figuarts Shinkocchou Seiohu Kamen Rider Kuuga (Decade Ver.) Release Info

Posted on May 30, 2019 at 12:47 pm by Den-O under Kamen Rider

Last week, news emerged that a reissue of sorts was planned for S.H. Figuarts Shinkocchou Seihou Kamen Rider Kuuga. Details had been sparse save from the Decade Version designation it was given. Thankfully a full set of official images has just been released via Tamashii Nations.

S.H. Figuarts Shinkocchou Seihou Kamen Rider Kuuga (Decade Ver.) will be a part for part reissue of the original Seihou Kuuga Mighty Form with some paint differences. The shade of red used on the Decade Kuuga suit is a bit brighter while the gold accents are a bit deeper as well. This reflects the way the original Kuuga suit changed between filming for the Kuuga TV series and the Decade one. Having been repainted previously, in an attempt to color match the suit to it’s original scheme, Toei did miss the mark a little. This resulted in a subtly unique version of Kuuga for Decade, and this figure represents that.

Many collectors who missed out on the original Seihou Kuuga release will undoubtedly be happy to see this unique reissue, allowing them to finally pick the figure up for a reasonable price. Kuuga Decade Version will be out as a retail release in October for 6050 yen, which is still 650 yen more than the original release. No new accessories are included with this release.

Power Rangers Beast Morphers 6″ Basic Cybervillain Blaze Gallery

Posted on May 28, 2019 at 11:19 am by Den-O under Power Rangers, TokuNation, TokuNation Site Updates, TokuNation Spotlights

“How about another karate lesson, Devon?”

With the raw power of the Morphin’ Grid tapped, Grid Battleforce seeks to create a new generation of Power Rangers! 3 Recruits are chosen and their leader, their red ranger, will be none other than Blaze. Or he would have been. Thanks to the viral villain Evox, the Morph is hijacked and ranger recruits Roxy & Blaze become something far more sinister. Their bodies left in comas and their mind’s copied, these dark reflections of their true selves are loyal only to Evox, given the ability to morph into their own dark ranger Avatars….

Cybervillain Blaze joins the ever growing line up of the Beast Morphers 6″ Basic Line. Another real winner from Wave 1, Blaze gives your Red Ranger a rival at last, though Roxy is hitting store shelves currently as well. Blaze shares many of his design cues with the Basic Tronic, like the hip design, but this radically evil ranger has a presence all his own. Armed with his own Blaze Saber, Blaze Beast Blaster, and Blaze Morph X Key, this figure should be a welcome addition to any Beast Morphers (Or Go-Busters!) collection.

See our full 40 image gallery as well as full review of 6″ Basic Cybervillain Blaze after the jump. Just click “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post to be taken to the full thread. In our next trip to the Morphin’ Grid, we find out what a certain old Emperor of Evil has been up to with Hasbro’s Lightning Collection line…

S.H. Figuarts Shinkocchou Seihou Garo Raiga (& Taiga!) Saejima Version Official Images

Posted on May 24, 2019 at 3:37 pm by Den-O under Garo, General Tokusatsu News

This week we saw confirmation that the popular Shinkcchou Seihou Garo mold would be making a return in a new release as S.H. Figuarts Shinkocchou Seihou Garo Raiga Saejima Version. As it turns out though, the official images have just revealed something else about this release…

Indeed, Garo Raiga Saejima Version reproduces the armor as it was worn by Kouga’s son Raiga. This means the figure is absolutely identical to the original release aside from Raiga’s unique blue eyes. These images do confirm that this release will also include the iconic cape worn by several users of the Golden Knight’s armor on top of the obviously included hands and sword. However, the real surprise here is that this release will ALSO include another alternate head with red eyes, to create Garo Taiga Saejima Version! So you have the option to display this figure as either Raiga OR his grandfather Taiga! We suspect some multiples may be purchased by a few collectors…

Shinkocchou Seihou Garo Raiga & Taiga Saejima Version will be released in October 2019 and retails for 9990 yen, which is a mere 90 yen more than the original release! Those new accessories are a pretty great value for that 90 yen. This figure will be released as a Tamashii Web Exclusive so be sure to pursue it through your preferred middleman service.

S.H. Figuarts Shinkocchou Seihou Kamen Rider Kuuga Decade Ver. Announced

Posted on May 24, 2019 at 2:57 pm by Den-O under Kamen Rider

As the Kamen Rider line of S.H. Figuarts continues, inevitably older releases go up in value. This has been especially true for the incredibly popular line of Shinkocchou Seihou renewal type figuarts. To date, of the myriad Seihou releases, only Kamen Rider Kabuto has ever received a reissue and that was two years after it’s initial release. Today that may change.

In confirming new items releasing in October, Tamashii Nations has announced S.H. Figuarts Shinkocchou Seihou Kamen Rider Kuuga (Decade Ver.). Kamen Rider Kuuga, or a version of him at least, played a significant role as a support character throughout the Kamen Rider Decade TV series and it’s movies. Mighty Form Kuuga was the most often seen form in Decade as well, though it should be noted that all of Decade Kuuga’s forms are identical to the original save for an additional form. So the exact nature of this “Decade Version” is unknown currently.

Does being specifically branded as the “Decade Version” allow Tamashii to circumvent some of their own self imposed rules for reissues like the Premium Color line of Dragonball figuarts? Or does this imply that the figure has some new accessories exclusive to the Kuuga version of the character? One thing to note, is the official image used to announce the figure. It’s completely new, as in, it’s not from the set of photos released for the original Seihou Kuuga orders. It would be quite odd of Tamashii to do a brand new photo shoot for a figure that has pre-existing official photos, unless there are new accessories in play. We’ll continue to report any more new information made available for this release.

Beast Morphers: 6″ Silver Ranger, Red Fury Red Ranger, & more Revealed

Posted on May 23, 2019 at 3:13 pm by Den-O under Power Rangers

“Unleash the beast!”

Thanks to Twitter user @Martian_Ranger new press images are now circulating for 3 new Power Rangers Beast Morphers 6″ Basic figures!

– 6″ Basic Silver Ranger
– 6″ Basic Red Ranger (Red Fury Mode)
– 6″ Basic Drilltron

This figure for Red Fury Mode provides our first official look at the power up for this season’s Red Ranger. We saw some filming images of this power up a few months back, but had no confirmation of it’s name or anything else about it before now. though it definitely takes inspiration from Red Buster’s Power Custom mode, this is an entirely new design. Likewise this is our first look at any figure for the Silver Ranger in this series’ toyline. Rounding out the trio is another really fantastic looking villain figure, Drilltron!

On top of this new, Martian Ranger has also discovered press photos for the upcoming Electronic Beast-X Ultrazord as well as the roleplay weapon for the Red Ranger’s Red Fury Mode, the Electronic Cheetah Claw!

Pricing and release windows for these new additions have not been made public as of yet, but we’ll keep you informed when they do.
