UPDATE 8:45 PM EST – Toys are not being reissued as a part of the show coming back to South Korea.

In a pretty odd turn of events, South Korea is set to see it’s third out with Hyakujuu Sentai Gaoranger in 2020! This news comes straight from Yong San Power Rangers event, which you can see a video of HERE from youtube channel [림호]Tokusatsu. Gaoranger, like many sentai, has a bit of an odd history in South Korea. Super Sentai had been imported to the country since 1989 with Flashman. However in 1994, the first season of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers was imported and dubbed in Korean as “Invincible Power Rangers”.

The trend of Power Rangers being imported and dubbed continued until 2003 when Power Rangers Wild Force was brought in as “Power Force Rangers”. After this point Super Sentai was directly imported and dubbed again. Jump to 2010 and Hyakujuu Sentai Gaoranger was at last imported in it’s original form and dubbed over as “Power Rangers Jungle Force”, in lieu of airing Shinkenger, which at the time was seen as too Japanese for the Korean market. Now, it looks as though South Korea will once again be seeing Gaoranger next year in it’s Jungle Force dub, set to stream on the Korean Power Rangers youtube channel!

Our little community is hitting another milestone this year, our 8 year anniversary!! January 4th 2020, will officially mark 8 years since TokuNation first went public as part of the network of TFW2005.COM, ToyArk.com, HissTank.com and of course our newest sister site PWRRNGR.com, through both network owner Tony_Bacala and our founder and original Editor-In-Chief, TokuChris.

For 8 years now we’ve posted news, rumors, toy galleries, videos, and even dabbled in podcasts for a bit (never forget Talkin Toku!). As times have changed we’ve done our best to change with them, delivering you content in different ways, covering new and exciting topics, and trying to improve our social outreach. But he one true constant that’s been with us since our first year, that you can expect every year? The annual Toku Toy Box giveaway!

Like years’ past, TokuNation is hosting an annual holiday giveaway open to ALL registered users! You’ll recall that in years’ past giveaways, users could post in a selection of galleries within the contest period to automatically be entered into the drawing for several prizes. Like last years giveaway, not only will we be posting a number of eligible galleries throughout the month of December, but every gallery we’ve posted in 2019 also makes you eligible! If you’ve already posted in the 1 of the over 40 galleries we’ve produced this year, then you’re already entered. If not, you already have over 40 chances with more on the way this month! The final round of scans for the 43rd Super Sentai series Kishiryu Sentai RyuSoulger has appeared online!

In a desperate bid to curtail the attacks of the Druidon Tribe, the RyuSoulgers must visit the original RyuSoul Temple- the source of their tribes’ legendary abilities. Within the temple lies the most powerful weapon RyuSoul Tribe ever created- the legendary blade RyuSoul Caliber!

Both RyuSoul Red and RyuSoul Gold are chosen as worthy by the spirits of the Temple- and with the power of RyuSoul Caliber awakened they obtain new forms! The Noblesse RyuSoul Red & Gold transformation activates heavy armor and capes for both RyuSoulgers along with RyuSoul Calibers’ signature attack- the Extreme DinoSlash.

“This isn’t what I expected when I woke up this morning.”

A hero by chance, Devon Daniels steps up to defend the Morphin Grid from Evox! Bonded with cheetah DNA and imbued with Morph-X energy, a Red Ranger with beast morphin might rises! The Lightning Collection from Hasbro has continued to move along at a pretty brisk pace, and now we’re taking some time to break down one of the most recent release with Wave 2’s very own Beast Morphers Red Ranger! 

The Beast Morphers Red Ranger is another welcome addition to this line, not only for Power Rangers Beast Morphers fans, but also for those long time fans of Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters. In a line full of winners, this Red Ranger pulls double duty not only being a great toy, but honestly a really serviceable replacement for aging S.H. Figuarts Red Busters as well. Armed with the Cheetah Beast Blaster & Beast-X Saber (and an effect part to match), the Beast Morphers Red Ranger will and some power and style to any collection.

With Bandai’s very retro Super Minipla Sun Vulcan Robo and Jaguar Vulcan looming just over the horizon, the time is ripe to unveil the next entry in the Super Minipla line up: as you might’ve already figured it out, it will be none other than Super Minipla Victory Robo from Kyukyu Sentai GoGo Five or as some of our Power Rangers readers will know it as: the Lightspeed Megazord.

Thus far, only the featured reference sketch for the pair of mecha was found online we have no indication on when these two will see a release but we’ll be sure to update you once more information becomes available.

Once again some new magazine scans have been released online, giving fans a few insights into the upcoming adventures of Kishiryu Sentai RyuSoulger!

Taking center stage this month is RyuSoul Red and his new weapon- the MaxRyuSoul Charger! This device unlocks RyuSoul Red’s greatest form- Max RyuSoul Red! Equipped with heavy battle armor and the power to combine RyuSoul attacks, Max RyuSoul Red can take on any Minusaur that stands in his way.

With a new power comes new Mecha combos! Max RyuSoul Red unites the 3 strongest KishiRyu– Tyramigo, MosaRex & Pterardon to create King KishiRyuOh!

Finally, a new member of the Druidon Tribe appears- the General Brishas with untold new powers.

An interesting new bit of merchandise has surfaced based on the classic Super Sentai series Taiyo Sentai Sun Vulcan!

These figures are the beginning of a new Candy Toy series known as Shodo SUPER, a line of smaller toys very similar to the SHODO line for Kamen Rider. The 3 Sun Vulcan members are fully poseable and include a wide arsenal of weapons.

The Sun Vulcan Shodo SUPER line will be available via Premium Bandai beginning in February 2020! The price for this set of 3 is a modest 5500 Yen before shipping and handling.

Via our good friends at Tokullector, we have our first official images of the upcoming Super Minipla Sun Vulcan Robo as well as the Super Minipla Jaguar Vulcan!

These iconic machines from Taiyo Sentai Sun Vulcan were announced to be coming up in the Super Minipla line back in June. While August brought our first look at the actual designs for the minipla themselves. This is however our first official confirmation and reveal of the kits and WOW do they look astonishing. When pricing and release date info becomes available, we’ll update this thread.

After much speculation, Toei has revealed the trademark naming the 44th Super Sentai Series!

This new project will be titled Majin Sentai KiraMeiger (although official spelling may vary once further details are available).

Based on the name, we can expect a Sentai centered on demons or magic and machines. Unfortunately, no other information is known at time of writing.

Not to be outdone, a number of new scans for Super Sentai have been released online- offering some hints at upcoming adventures for the Kishiryu Sentai RyuSoulger!

Here’s what we have to look forward to-

*The RyuSoulgers will uncover a strange egg that hatches into a mini-Kishiryu, nicknamed Pi-Tan. Pi-Tan can add extra powers to other Kishiryu- such as granting Tyramigo the ability to fly in a combination called Pi-Tyramigo.

*Upon growing to full Kishiry size, Pi-Tan will be known as Pterardon! Armed with fantastic ice powers, Pterardon converts into a powerful mecha- YokuRyuOh!

*But of course, true strength comes from combination! Once Pterardon unites with Tyramigo and the newly-uncovered PachyGaroo, they form KishiRyuOh Jet– an amazing flying Mecha with unstoppable force!

*Pi-Tan also brings a new RyuSoul to combat- the HieHie Soul grants its user new armor and ice-based attacks. RyuSoul Red will be the first to master the HieHie Soul- and this power may finally turn the tide in battle against Gaisorg.
